25 Aspirants, Including Ex-Gov Audu In Fight For Kogi Guber APC Ticket

No fewer than twenty-five aspirants are currently jostling for the governorship ticket of the All Progressive Congress, APC, ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Kogi State. The governorship election is billed to hold on November 21, this year.

The state is presently under the control of the Peoples Democratic Party with Mr. Idris Wada as governor.

Already, the screening of the 25 contestants for the primary election has been scheduled to commence on August 29.

Among the aspirants are former governor of the State, Alhaji Abubakar Audu, former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon Clarence Olorunfemi, erstwhile National Assembly member, Senator Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman, a prominent lawyer, Chief Ocholi (SAN), Senator Nicholas Ugbani, Mr. Suleman Baba and Timi Nda Diche, amongst others.
