APC Has Not Endorsed Anyone For Bayelsa Guber Polls- Aspirant

A female gubernatorial aspirant, Mrs Tonye Apraela, said on Monday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has not anointed any person for the Bayelsa governorship election.

Apraela said this while addressing newsmen after submitting her nomination and expression of interest forms at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

She said: “Nobody has endorsed anybody. It is his followers that endorsed him. I had wanted to make that correction but thank God I have the privilege now.

“The APC has not endorsed anybody, so, nobody should be afraid in Bayelsa State, we are all going out for the primary.’’

Igbo ruling body finally endorses Jonathan

Igbo apex ruling body, Ohanaeze Ndigbo on Monday in Awka endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan for re-election, reports.

The group said it decided to endorse Jonathan because of the need to implement the national conference recommendations. Chris  Eluemunoh, President of Ohanaeze in Anambra State and chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo State Presidents Forum, stated that since President Jonathan convened the national conference, it was logical to re-elect him so that he can implement the confab resolutions.

Eluemunoh, who spoke on behalf the presidents of the seven states that make up the Igbo nation, urged all Ndigbo in the 36 states of the federation and Abuja to vote massively for Jonathan.
