A very pregnant Kerry Washington rocked cutouts along with a mane of wild, messy curls on the 2016 Emmys red carpet on Sunday, September 18, at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater.

The 39-year-old Confirmation star, who’s nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or a Television Movie, outfitted her burgeoning belly in a black strapless gown by Brandon Maxwell. The custom-made creation, paired with simple black sandals, featured two cutouts underneath the bust along with a floor-skimming cape. Antique diamond drop earrings by Fred Leighton added a finishing touch to the simple and stunning look.
