Passenger Gives Birth To Baby On Board

A plane passenger cradled her newborn baby in her arms after she prematurely gave birth at 30,000 feet. The seven-months pregnant Filipino woman, who has not been identified, went into labour unexpectedly a few hours after take-off on Sunday morning.

Flustered flight attendants sprang into action and moved her to the front of the plane where there was more leg room.

Two off-duty nurses on board the nine-hour flight from Dubai to the Philippines, also raced over to help. The healthy baby girl, who has since been named Haven, was delivered in just one hour amid
cheers from fellow passengers.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) took delivery of four more cargoes of premium motor spirit (petrol) over the weekend to keep the flow of the commodity.

The deliveries which amount to about 180 million litres are part of a new arrangement by the corporation to have a cargo of PMS delivered daily as from March. The NNPC made the announcement in a statement signed by its spokesman, Ohi Alegbe.

He said the minister of state for petroleum resources, Ibe Kachikwu, had warned depot owners against selling petrol above the approved ex-depot price of N77 per litre.

Pregnant Woman In Labor Has Emergency C-section But Doctors Can’t Find The Baby

Mom of 4, Amber Hughes went into labor at 30 weeks. She had been warned she would go into early labor by doctors after losing her mucus plug at 24 weeks. The young mum endured 36 hours of hard labor and when it became apparent the baby had an infection, they rushed her in to have a C-section.

It wasn’t long before Hughes knew something was very wrong. The doctors were moving about frantically and there was no crying heard for at least two minutes. Remarkably, Hughes was delivering her baby naturally at the exact moment the doctors were performing the C-section. All of a
sudden, cries from baby Olly were heard, and he was found under the sheet.

Hughes said:

“For two minutes they had lost my baby. That is just ludicrous…My body was telling me it was ready and I should have listened to it. I now wear a scar that wasn’t needed, across my tummy. I’m thankful my baby is okay, but we’ll never be able to forget the day the doctors lost our baby.”

Amber is currently trying to get answers from the hospital. Thankfully, little Olly is healthy

The companies are Duke Oil Company Inc., Aiteo Energy Resources Limited and Sahara Energy Resources (Nig) Ltd.

Under the agreement, the NNPC allocates a total of 210, 000 barrels of crude oil per day for refining at offshore locations in exchange for petroleum products at pre-agreed yield pattern.

The termination, according to the Corporation, is part of new measures aimed at cost reduction and strengthening of operational efficiency across the corporation’s value chain.
