See Where The U.S. Men’s Olympic Basketball Team Stay, Instead Of Athletes’ Village In Rio

The U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team definitely knows how to have a good time, so when it came to figuring out their lodgings in Rio, they weren’t just going to settle for something as average as bunking up in Athletes’ Village.

According to multiple sources, a few of the millionaire players on Team U.S.A. have instead opted to rent out a 196-cabin luxury cruise ship, complete with a giant swimming pool, spa, and cigar lounge. Currently docked at the Port of Rio, the ship has been fitted with custom, seven-foot beds to accommodate the team’s players, and will have super intense, 24/7 security. Amongst those staying on the ship will be NBA superstar players Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, and Kyrie Irving.

“USA Basketball teams haven’t stayed in the Olympic Village since the 1988 teams did,” Craig Miller, the team’s chief media officer, told NPR.

However, not every NBA player in Rio will get to experience the luxury of Silversea’s Silver Cloud ship.
