Miga Local Government Council of Jigawa on Wednesday said it had awarded N2.5 million contract for the electrification of Miga town.
The council Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Sabiu, who spoke through his Information Officer, Malam Abdullahi Yakubu, gave this indication on Wednesday in Dutse.
Sabiu said the gesture was aimed at improving the socio economic well-being of people in the area.
He explained that the council had previously provided major towns in the 11 wards of Miga with electricity.
Yakubu listed the wards to include Takalafiya, Ganuwa, Are, Garbo, Alpha, Dangyatun, Nassarawa, Kigawa, Yanduna, Makera and Sansani.
