President Goodluck Jonathan has made an impassioned plea to all Nigerians to wait patiently for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to collate and announce the results of this weekend’s polls.
Jonathan made the call in a post on his Facebook page and ensured all citizens that the ruling party was not involved in any manipulation of election results.
We waited patiently to vote in these elections, now I want to urge all Nigerians to also wait patiently for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to collate and announce results. We must ensure that we do not get involved in acts that breach our peaceful co-existence that we patriotically demonstrated during the elections. May God bless Nigeria. GEJ.
