The Kaduna State Government has directed all filling stations in the state to open as normal and dispense fuel to customers. The government assured marketers of petroleum products of adequate security to enable them sustain supply of fuel to citizens.

A government statement said it condemns and deploys the intimidation of filling station operators by persons said to be NUPENG officials. Government wishes to remind every union or association that they must live up to their responsibilities and avoid actions that can inflict needless pain on citizens.

The government warned that it would not tolerate a repeat of the display undertaken today by the people that illegally compelled filling stations to close.
