The spokesman of the Nigeria Army, Sani Usman, has, been decorated with his new rank of Brigadier-General.
Mr. Usman was decorated by the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai.
Mr. Usman was among the officers promoted last week by the Army.
The Chief of Army Staff, Mr. Buratai, said 227 senior officers had been promoted to their next ranks.
Of the number, 21 were promoted from the rank of Brigadier General to Major General; while 93 of them were elevated from the rank of Colonel to Brigadier General.
