The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bwari Area Council in FCT has approved the expulsion of the former chairman of the council, Isah Dara-Bwari, from the party.
Isah Dara and four other members of the party in the area were expelled over alleged anti-party activities during the last council poll in the area.
A letter to the chairman of the party at the Bwari Central Ward, where the affected members came from, said the decision followed the report of the disciplinary appeal committee set up by the party over the incident.
The letter signed by the party chairman in the council, Ali Tanko Shere, advised that anybody that was not satisfied with the decision of the party should peacefully proceed with his quest, in accordance with the party’s constitution in Article 21c, i,ii, iii and v.
The affected members, which include Ephraim Elisha, Allayafi Dara, Bako Zuma and late Sylvanus Gajere, were earlier expelled by the executive committee of their ward.
Speaking on the expulsion, the chairman of the party in Bwari Central Ward, Dantani Kpaloko, said they were expelled for anti-party activities and that all the parties involved were given fair hearing before such decision was arrived at, advising party members in the area to continue to abide by their party’s constitution.
He warned that the party would not tolerate any action of its members that will be inimical to its progress.
But the former chairman of the council, Isah Dara-Bwari, said their actions were illegal, null and void.
