2018 WCQ: Echiejele, Etebo and Alampasu missing in Super Eagles training.

Three players were conspicuously missing as the Super Eagles got down to business with their first training session ahead of this weekend’s World Cup qualifying match against their Algerian counterparts.

Dele Alampasu and Oghenekaro Etebo both based in Portugal and Belgium-based defender, Elderson Echiejile were the only absentees from the roster of 24 invited to face the Desert Foxes.

The Super Eagles trained at the practise pitch of the Abuja National Stadium and are to return for another exercise by 5.pm today.

It is expected that the Super Eagles will have a full house when they return this evening for their second session in preparation for the crucial World Cup qualifying match against the Algerians.

The Super Eagles will be playing their 50th World Cup qualifying home matches when they take on the Fennecs of Algeria at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.

In their previous 49 home matches, the Eagles had won 39 and drawn seven, while losing three.
