Kanye West has kept busy this year by dropping his The Life Of Pablo album, as well as embarking on his Saint Pablo Tour, but it sounds like he’s got even more in store for 2016. Taking to the stage at OVO Fest Monday night, Kanye announced that he and Drake are working on a joint album.
“Is y’all ready for this album?” Kanye shouted out to the crowd at OVO Fest. “I wasn’t talking about Pablo. I wasn’t talking about VIEWS. I wanna ask y’all right now: Are y’all ready for this album?” He clarified, pointing at Drake before pointing back to himself.
Kanye West and Drake are no strangers to the joint-project game. Kanye West and Jay Z joined forces for their ground-breaking album Watch The Throne in 2011. Drake also teamed up with Future for their joint mixtape What A Time To Be Alive last year, which pretty much topped every year-end list. We’ve seen what Drake and Kanye can do on solo projects, let’s see if they can create the same magic on a collaborative album. We’ll keep you posted as more details emerge….
