The University of Nottingham Nigerian Students’ Society in the UK decided as their Charity event for 2015/2016 to raise money for the victims of the Boko Haram crises who have relocated to Internally Displaced Persons camps across the country. They chose the Durumi camp to donate the materials to.
The relief materials included bags of sanitary towels; boxes of disinfectants; several dozens of towels; dozens of clothing materials; dozens of school shoes; dozens of flipflop slippers; dozens of insecticide-treated mosquito nets; bags of soaps; boxes of noodles; bags of rice, beans, sorghum, maize, semovita; several jerry cans of various vegetable oils; hundreds of notebooks, drawing books, pencils, rulers, calculators, instructional materials, and other stationery etc.
