Richard Tayo: Hypocrisy And Ben Murray Bruce

Before I can clearly communicate my ideas, i must go through the painstaking process of eliminating any ambiguity that could arise from what I really am trying to say. A hypocrite is a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess. Or a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, especially one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements. I agree that Until we unite to condemn our leaders when they are wrong irrespective of whether we voted them or not, or they are our kinsman or not Change’ll be an illusion.

I take exception to senator Ben’s common sense and that is because he is a hypocrite. Senator Ben does not practice what he preaches so what’s the use of his sanctimonious sermons.
Senator Ben spoke about underdevelopment and predicated it on corruption, mismanagement, lack of patriotism, and the principle of going to Abuja to share the national cake. Well, i hate to say I agree with him. But the number one culprit was GEJ and his administration but senator common sense never for once called GEJ out same way he does PMB all the time and even though he couldn’t trace any modicum of Corruption to PMB or was that tribalism he also preached against?

Our common sense senator said the youths are the most valuable resources Nigeria has, and therefore must be accorded number one priority. Ben was so hypocritical than ever as demostrated at his 60th birthday where he treated the Nigerian youths/students as second class citizens. This was in total contradiction of his doctrine.
senator BMB keptchampioning the ?#?BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira? hasgtag. The ?#?CommonSense? book which also preached the #BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira was printed in the United States in dollars and not naira. Question is; are there no printing press of international standards in Nigeria anymore? Or is it because that which we call sin in others is experiment to us, or sin isn’t sin when it’s committed by nice people like ourselves ?

This fuel scarcity is biting hard on all and sundry, we are all feeling it and it’s most unfortunate . BMB displayed his hypocrisy as he made it sound like there wasn’t such scarcity under GEJ. I took time to chronicle down the history of fuel scarcity under GEJ from 2011-2015 when he handed over.
I have said it on many fora that I do not believe any man who does not live according to his belief. Safe to conclude that senator BMB epitomizes hypocrisy.

Senator Ben Murray Bruce may criticize as an opposition should but I take exception to him calling it ‘common sense’ most especially when he lacked same during last dispensation.
