The Nigerian Army said, yesterday, that it lost one of its soldiers and killed no fewer than 58 terrorists, following a clearance operation to rid insurgents from their hideout at Musari.
The Army in statement signed by Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, said: “In continuation with the clearance of the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists, troops of 153 Task Force Brigade, 5 Brigade, Monday, had an encounter with terrorists at Musari village.
“During the clearance operations, a soldier paid the supreme price, while the troops killed 58 terrorists and recovered two hand grenades, 52 motorcycles, and several bags of foodstuffs such as beans, onions, sweet potatoes and guinea corn, as well as cartons of fish.”
