Governor Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa State on Tuesday appointed 41 new Senior Special Advisers (SSA), Special Assistants and Personal Assistants (PAS).
This is contained in a statement by Umaru Azores, the Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government (SSG), made available to newsmen in Lafia. The statement added that out of the 41 appointments, three were SSAs, nine SAs and 29 PAs.
The statement quoted Azores as saying: “This is the time for us to work because the litigation is over; the government needs to get the right people in the right places.” It said that the current administration would engage “the most qualified people” into different responsibilities to reposition the government.
According to the statement, all appointments take immediate effect. It urged the appointees to report to the Governor’s Office for onward directives.
