Dr Ada Igonoh, the only female doctor to survive Nigeria’s Ebola outbreak, has given birth to a healthy baby girl in the United States of America (USA).
Dr Igonoh’s daughter was born on November 3, 2015, at the Greater El-Monte Community Hospital in California.
She had been placed under surveillance since the baby was conceived to ensure a hitch-free birth.
Her baby was certified Ebola-free upon delivery.
Dr Igonoh was working at the First Consultant Medical Centre (FCMC) in Obalende, Lagos when Nigeria’s index patient, Liberian Patrick Sawyer was admitted at the facility.
