Now, Cruise’s beliefs (and Scientologists’ controversial practice of cutting off contact with “suppressive persons”) has come under fire yet again, as the actor’s media blitz brought him to NYC, where he reportedly avoided his 9-year-old daughter.

Reports of Cruise refusing to see Suri as a result of his faith have been circulating for some time, and now, In Touch is claiming that the actor hasn’t had any contact with his daughter in two years!

“[Cruise] was just blocks away from Suri [in New York City] and he didn’t spend a moment of time with her,” says one insider. “That’s the cold, harsh reality.”

While the neglect is generally attributed to Tom’s commitment to Scientology, no one knows for certain why the 53-year-old has cut ties with his youngest child, as he reportedly refuses to discuss the matter, even with close friends:
