World of Sport is not afraid to admit being an absolute, crashing wimp when it comes to the idea of voluntarily submitting itself to pain.

As such, getting a tattoo is pretty low down on the old WoS to-do list. In fact, it’s somewhere around seven millionth place, sandwiched in between “pull a toenail out with a pair of pliers” and “take a bath in shards of broken glass”. Good luck to those who can handle the pain, but we’re leaving it to you.

Lewis Hamilton is one such man who is happy to take the pain of body art in his stride – and for him, it seems the pain is an absolute trifle.
