Labour Party Slams Buhari Over Age Comment

One of the opposition parties in the country, the Labour Party (LP) on Wednesday expressed its disappointment over President Muhammadu Buhari’s comment that there is a limit to what he could do as President at the age of 72.

The party described Buhari’s statement just few days after assuming office as embarrassing. The party’s National Chairman, Abdukadir Abdulsalam, noted that Buhari deceived Nigerians during the presidential campaign by claiming to have the ability and agility to carry out the function of state as President of the country.

The party urged Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to come out clean on the true health status of the President.
