The acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Uche Secondus, has dismissed whispers that Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu and Chief Tony Anenih were forced to resign their positions. Mu’azu on Wednesday resigned his position as PDP National Chairman while Anenih follow suit as Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT).
Secondus made the clarification on Thursday in Abuja when he led some members of the National Working Committee (NWC) to meet with President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa. Fielding questions from state House correspondents the acting national chairman said, “nobody forced them to resign.”
