One of the Peoples Democratic Party’s founding fathers and outgoing governor of Jigawa State Alhaji Sule Lamido has called on civil servants in the state to support and cooperate with incoming All Progressives Congress (APC) government for sustainable development, peace and progress of the state.
He said civil servants are the engine room of any government and every government can only delivere when it has their support and commitment.
Lamido made the assertion yesterday while delivering his valedictory message to civil servants in the state at Ahmadu Bello multi-purpose hall in Dutse, the state capital.
He noted that his government has succeeded in transforming Jigawa State and also restore confidence of the people on government with the support of civil servants.
Lamido expressed gratitude to the state civil servants who he described as partners in progress and stakeholders in governance, for their contribution to his government in the last eight years.
The outgoing governor charged the state civil servants to extend the same gesture to the state governor-elect Alhaji Badaru Abubakar of APC to save the state from retrogression.
While making his remarks,the chairman Jigawa state Civil service commission Dr. Ayuba Tanko Abubakar vows to apply the Governor’s advise into action through hard-working and selfless services to the state.
