Unknown gunmen on Wednesday evening kidnapped Salihu Barade, the younger brother of Sokoto state governor, Aliyu Wamakko, security officials in the state said.

Our sources said the gunmen, numbering about four, swopped on Mr. Barade in his farm in Wamakko local government area and whisked him away in company with other people.

Reports further gathered say that the kidnappers later freed those that were kidnapped with the governors brother after travelling a reasonable distance with them.
