The All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken control of the 8th House of Representatives as the majority party.
Out of the total 360 seats available for grabs, the party won in 214 federal constituencies as against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which has 125 lawmakers. The figures give a gap of 89 between the APC and the PDP.
The figures, however, exclude the 11 constituency seats in Jigawa State, where election has yet to be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Elections in the 11 constituencies will be held on April 11.
