If President Jonathan were to be a soccer player, figuring his `ideal’ position of play would be a no brainer. In line with the never-ending tricks, hocus-pocus, and the voice of Jacob hands of Esau, double-dealing, craftiness attributed to this aforementioned person –I’ve reached a conclusion that he [GEJ] would be a trickery striker. I cannot rule out the use of this analogy, in light, of the numerous times I have been dribbled by the C-in-C with inconsistent comments on several media platforms, therefore –pardon my comparison.

I must admit that I have never been so confused by the position of leaders in terms of their visions and missions than I have with the administration of President Jonathan. If there is one thing Jonathan-led government has successfully accomplished, I mean on a personal note –I’d say its quest to finally bemuse me of its real objectives.
The unity of Nigeria has never been as threatened as compare to what we’re experiencing under the watchful eyes of President Jonathan. This government has developed an obsession and finds delight in fingering our two major fault lines (ethnicity and religion). At no time has this country been so tensed and divided, no thanks to GEJ, and to many of us who have seen beyond the smokescreen, we advise Mr President to stop hiding behind the needle and desist from this dangerous mission.
It is a statement of fact that the current administration has done more harm than good to our dear nation. Many have said, and I totally agree, that President Jonathan’s unending romance with churches of different faiths and ideologies (Catholic, Pentecostal etc –hopefully the Jehovah Witness and the white garment Celestials will not be sidelined) is absurd, the insensitivity was taken to another level during PDP rally in Niger state where his accomplice; periodic Vice President; Master of hide and seek; partner-in-crime further stoke the fire and formally brought to the fore their hidden-agenda, as he preaches religious division; the superiority of Islam amidst the Muslim north vis-à-vis Christian minority.
It is saddening that the government of the day continues to promote religious sentiments –not minding the complexity of our diversity and it appears some people are hell-bent in pouring water inside the ‘already’ heated oil. I thought things couldn’t be worse and hopefully we could still pick up the pieces, salvage the situation and save Nigeria from impending collapse. Hence, the next item on the hidden-agenda is to introduce pro-tribal forces which have since commenced (the re-awakening of MASSOB, OPC etc). President Jonathan has refused to let the sleeping dog lie and it seems all hell might break loose –in the face of all this, it’s crystal clear and legibly written for all to see his [GEJ] true mission of setting this country ablaze.
In the thick of this, I must also express my dissatisfaction towards the mounting gimmicks, chicaneries, falsehoods being pushed out by the ruling party at this late hour and make known my contempt regarding the inconsistent utterances and two-facedness of our President.
How should we begin to make sense out of these conflicting statements…? On 18th September 2014, the commander-in-chief during the 66th PDP National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja said…
“Nigeria is having an unfair share. Terror is a global problem, and Nigeria situation is going beyond terror. When terrorists think about holding ground, attempting to install leadership, it is no longer terrorism; it is almost like going into the line of succession. Between now and October [2014], things will change.”
And same President, during an interview with Thisday 22nd Feb 2015, was quoted to have said he underrated the capacity of Boko Haram.
I mean, I don’t know how to marry ‘these contradicting utterances’ together or establish a correlation between both statements.
As seen overtime, many of such instances go hand-in-hand with this government, therefore –it is safe to say we have at the centre an administration rooted on deception.
I have no doubt in my mind that the hullabaloo surrounding the Chairman of INEC (Prof. Attahiru Jega) is handiwork of the President. It is a clear representation of the voice of Jacob hands of Esau.

“I have never thought about removing INEC Chairman, though I have the constitutional power to do so – President Jonathan”
“INEC is a very sensitive body. For me to change INEC Chairman Nigerians will ask questions. So, you cannot wake up and change INEC Chairman. – President Jonathan”
“I’ve not discussed with anybody on earth or even in my dream whether Jega will stay or not – President Jonathan”
While it is important to note the above statements -as repeatedly mentioned by the President at different media houses, its genuineness remain doubtful, shady and questionable until one can rationalize why MASSOB, OPC etc, at this critical period, suddenly gain consciousness and realise the sins of Prof. Jega only after, more often than not, their meetings with the President and collection of fat-envelope as alleged.
The situation at hand is frightening and as it stands -it appears the nation is currently sitting on gun powder. As ethnic groups continue to spit fire and brimstone, the bomb plot thickens and if these threats are not mitigated, it could snowball into something irreparable [God forbid]
Likewise, I found it laughable and comical that same administration which oversees the increment of electricity tariff by 30% in January [2015] further conceive the need to decrease same tariff by 50% on the eve of election [March, 2015] –now if that isn’t funny, then I am not sure what would make you laugh. I mean this is one of the irregularities bedevilling this government. That being said, another of such hypocrisy, lies and deceits the President has been engaging of-late is ‘this’ idea of re-commissioning already commissioned projects or half a decade project of past government.
The height of deception is when a President –having being in power for six years –fails to live up to his responsibilities until six weeks to election.
Over and above, I think President Jonathan’s appearance during the ‘Nollywood Showbiz night’ calls for concern –I must advise the President to stop devoting all his energy into a lost cause, he needs to relax and stop fighting a battle he cannot win.
