An Ilorin High court has granted an interim injunction restraining 14 media establishments in the country from publishing or further publishing or causing or further causing to be published defamatory, embarrassing and degrading publications and or video documentary against the former governor of Kwara state, Dr Bukola Saraki.
The interim injunction granted by the court followed a motion ex- parte dated and filed on March 19 by the applicant, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
The court presided over by Justice I. A Yusuf also restrained the respondent in the interim, by themselves, their agents, privies, representatives and other media entities from interfering or further interfering with or from violating the applicant’s right to dignity of human person, right to privacy, right to private ownership of property and general right to property whether by means of publication, transmission, broadcasting and dissemination of any video documentary or by any means whatsoever.
Joined as respondents in the suit No. KWS/74/2015 are DAAR Communication, NTA, Channels TV, Vanguard, Leadership, Premium Times, Vintage press Ltd, ANN, Punch and Guardian.

The originating notice was adjourned to April 2, 2015 for hearing of the application for the enforcement of the fundamental rights of the applicant.
