President Goodluck Jonathan has placed the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Adamu Mu’azu under close watch. This follows the alleged double-faced activities levelled against Mu’azu by some members of Jonathan’s kitchen cabinet.

Mu’azu, who was a former governor of Bauchi State was accused of not taken steps to sanction his successor, Gov. Isa Yuguda, who many party supporters see has not been fully committed to the second term aspiration of President Jonathan.

Mu’azu is also being accused of not campaigning vigorously for President Jonathan in the North. The thinking in the minds of members of Jonathan’s kitchen cabinet is that Mu’azu is more interested in having a President from his region than President Jonathan returning.
