Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State on Wednesday met the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Adamu Mu’azu, on how to convince former President Olusegun Obasanjo to return to the party.
The meeting was at the instance of Mu’azu, who is worried about the political implications of Obasanjo’s decision to dump the PDP. The meeting took place at the Abuja residence of Mu’azu.
Mu’azu during the meeting sought the opinion of Lamido on how to resolve the issues between Obasanjo and President Goodluck Jonathan.
Lamido, who also met with President Jonathan on Tuesday over the issue, told Mu’azu to warn some members of the party, including a governor from the southern part of the country to stop abusing the former President.
