First Lady Canvasses For Votes For President Jonathan, Wike, PDP Candidates

First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has called on the people of Okirika to vote overwhelmingly for President Goodluck Jonathan and Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for the February 2015 general elections.

Dame Jonathan spoke in Okirika on Thursday during the PDP governorship rally and meetings with traditional council of chiefs.

She was accompanied by Barrister Wike, his running mate, Dr Ipalibo Banigo, Minister of Sports, Dr Tammy Danagogo and Senate Committee Chairman on Defence, Senator George Sekibo.

The First Lady stated that in Rivers State, Barrister Wike remained the hope of equitable distribution of development projects without pursuing an anti people agenda.

She noted that she had issues with the outgoing APC administration over the plot to destroy all the Okirika waterfronts and thereafter redistribute the plots of land to other people.

She said that if people voted Amaechi’s anointed candidate, he would effect Amaechi’s anti-Okirika land policy.

Dame Jonathan said: “It is a done deal, the Okirika people are for the PDP. Our votes will all go for the PDP. I am here to say when the time comes, our people will line up for PDP.
