Former Head of State, and APC Chief, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, was absent at the North-West Zonal Rally of the All Progressives Congress in Sokoto State on Monday.

Five APC governors and its national Chairman, Chief John oyegun, were however, in attendance.

They are Governors Aliyu Wamakko, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Abdulaziz Yari, Roachas Okorocha and Adams Oshiohmole of Sokoto, Kano, Zamfara, Imo and Edo states respectively.

The event is taking place peacefully in spite of the large crowd that converged at the Trade Fair complex, Sokoto, venue of the rally.
