Cristiano Ronaldo hits at Madrid over Di maria , Alonso sale

Real Madrid winger,  Cristiano Ronaldo has hit out at the club over the sales of Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso. The European champions spent heavily over the summer, with president Florentino Perez spending £63million to sign World Cup top scorer James Rodriguez and also splurging on Germany’s World Cup-winning midfielder Toni Kroos.

Perez in turn sold Argentine international Di Maria – having refused to renegotiate his contract following his outstanding 2013-14 campaign – to Manchester United for £59.7million, before allowing Alonso to join Bayern Munich.

That has led to a change of system from Los Blancos from 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1, and the side crumbled against Real Sociedad as they threw away a two-goal lead to lose 4-2 this weekend. Ronaldo, who missed the game through injury and had already urged the club to keep Di Maria, has declared that he would not have let the pair leave this summer.

“I have strong opinions but I can’t always say what I think. Otherwise it would be on the front page and I don’t want that,” said the 29-year-old. “But if it was up to me, I wouldn’t have done so he added ”
