In this 21st century, “Sustainability is the key word in every Pursuit”. Every sustainable pursuit remains sustainable all because there was more than just self-acquired knowledge, more than just religion and more than just seminars. It boils beyond them. Personally, sustainable pursuits are driven by more from within you than without you and this I call… Your Sound Reason!
Good day, my name is Haastrup Steven Adeshope.
Looking back into my life and asking me what brought me this far, I would say… It wasn’t just self-acquired knowledge or seminars or religion but it was more of my reasons and the continual reviews and reinforcements of my reasons. What your reason does for you is enormous. Overtime, I have learnt that to achieve greatness, your reason is your PIN because it makes you sweat it like no other, it makes you persevere incredibly, it makes you rare amazingly, it gives your pursuit a real backbone. Actually, your reason brings significance to your pursuit, it might be against all norms and all odds but it gets you there and not just there but well celebrated.Your reason drives you to become one of those that the world chases after for more of you. It makes you steady because discouragements would come but sound reasons don’t make quitting an option, discouragements just cause them to reflect on and reaffirm their commitments to their starting reasons.
Your reason drives you to take in the right stuffs to developing you, it might be what others take in but it develops you differently. Your reason helps you to naturally know who to move with and who not to move with. Reasons are like Visions, they give meaning to your mission.
So now, ask yourself, why do I want to become an Engineer or a Doctor or a Banker or an IT consultant, is it the vogue or it’s to survive or it’s to make a mark? Why do you want to become a public speaker? Is it to survive or to stand out? What are your sound reasons? Because no matter the crowd in your pursuit, your reason because it is personal, stands you out. When you meet a man with sound reasons, he seem different, he talks different, you just know he is going somewhere enviable. Your reasons must be sound and should be beyond “Just You” to be qualitative. If your reason is “it’s because of me”, you will most likely fail, but if it is “It’s because of Us or them, so I must become this or that”, then you would most likely succeed. Your reasons boost your “Employability Quotient”, because your interview will be impressively done.
You want to stand out? You want to stand tall? Get your sound reason. Get it working. It’s the soul of the career/business that you seek to build. I can bet with you on that.
If you missed the two previous series on Employability, search them out on this platform to read them. They were awesome building block episodes of the Employability series. Next week, I would be talking on “What Relationships should mean to Pursuit”. Don’t miss this for anything. Make it a date next Monday here exclusively on Omojuwa.com.
Tell your friends and partners, share it among your followers and mutual friends, it might be all they need to get up and stand tall.
You can ask me questions or get talking to me by sending me a mail at haastrupsteven@gmail.com
Have a great week ahead.
