I see a lot of APC supporters and sympathizers bellyaching over their lost election in Ekiti state and as usual would rather blame everyone else but themselves. The APC is absolutely without any sort of blame and is 100% perfect.

The only difference is that this time in addition to blaming the PDP for their latest misfortune, they are also blaming Ekiti people for not voting for them. The mantra this time is that Ekiti people sold their votes for bags of rice. The same APC that also gave out rice are suddenly lamenting that someone else won because he gave out rice. My take is that they were simply ‘outriced’ and that is what is truly hurting them.

If as the APC claim, Fayemi is the one governor that has done more for Ekiti people in terms of advancing their cause both economically and infrastructure wise, they would have voted enmasse for him to show their gratitude. That they voted massively instead for fayose shows that ALL Fayemi’s achievements have been on social media and didn’t directly affect the lives of the people.

In truth, I think fayose is a better grassroots person than Fayemi hence while Fayemi was busy placing ads on channels TV on DSTV, Fayose was meeting people door-to-door canvassing for votes. Ok, so maybe he gave out money, that wouldn’t have deterred people from voting for him if he had truly ‘worked’.

Enough of the belly aching from APC abeg and it is looking increasingly everyday that GEJ might win 2015, especially if APC fields a ‘nonsense candidate’ and more especially because a very electable candidate from a smaller party will never win.

Congratulations to Ayo Peter Fayose, the elected Governor of Eliti State.
