The historic Cologne Cathedral where I lit torches for my friends, family, Nigeria and Africa

When I got a chance to visit Cologne through a speaking invitation it realised I also would get a chance to visit what has been described as one of the architectural masterpieces of mankind. I did visit  The Cologne Cathedral “Kölner Dom” twice in less than two days 🙂

It was amazing to see the awe the Cathedral commanded even amongst tourists not to talk of worshippers. There is this sense of wonder that descends on you as soon as you step in hence being inside felt like a library as people looked to keep their voices despite the many tourists yet there was no “Silence” sign. With about six million visitors a year, twenty thousand a day, Germany’s largest Cathedral is also the country’s most popular architectural monument. It was constructed over more than six centuries but anyone who has seen it will agree the wait was worth it

I hope to bring you pictures from other places. Let’s see how long I maintain this Travel Blog 🙂

I want to thank the kind lady who helped me with all these pictures. Women are a blessing to this world o
