AVB VS DI MATTEO, WHAT IS SUCCESS? By Ogunwale Oriyomi
I won’t be all jumpy on this but young mind rule this century and the verdict has shown in all spheres of business in today’s business world. I would be going all sports especially on football and I’m focusing onChelseafootball club.
There’s no doubt about the great turn around which has happened in the football club this season all thanks to the owner Roman Abrahimovic. Going into the season, he had hired the youngest successful coach in the block, Andre Villa Boas fromPorto.
Success to us might mean getting the results every time but it also comes down to a lot of factors on the training ground. We might have to employ a lot of unconventional things to actually correct the conventional things sometimes; it’s called the back door approach.
AVB might have come intoChelseato continue on his success pyramid but immediately he got in, he noticed a mountain he later neglected for his own wish. There are always different ways to win the battle but ignoring our problems only aggravates it. Our ability not to recognize this might make us swallow our pride sometimes and lose what we craved for.
It’s a time to struggle between winning and losing and emotions are going to set in but your ability to keep your head high as you gather momentum will keep you floating. AVB couldn’t keep the momentum when the trying times came and so he loosed out on the love he enjoyed at his former club. The workers who carry out the instructions in the outside world decide the fate of the manager.
Its redemption time and the head of the boss rolls when results don’t come in your favor, the world tend to forget all your success. Try to beat yourself and not the world.
A time when leaders or managers boss around people and give instructions is gone. The new era requires a collaborative effort where everyone is important and the general consensus is carried out but your job is to keep the team together and carry out the best strategy which favors the team. Who’s my man? Roberto Di Matteo.
First time I saw this man, he looked like he could handle nothing until I saw the results. Though his face looks calm but the lion inside can only be explained by the players, Disciplined but calm. That’s the new generational leader, this is no time to blow your ego or show your frustrations on others rather than looking inward into yourself of what’s wrong with you.
Success after success and I can only wish him more if he sticks to doing the right things. All way leads toMunichand I only see blue. The biggest turnaround of any club in recent time has happened and I congratulate the leader.
Even when you are not yet in the limelight, try always to do the right things.
