Emir Sanusi vows to punish imams, title holders who beat their wives

Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi ll has warned Muslims clerics, Islamic title holders and District heads in the state who are in the habit of beating up their wives to desist from such act.

Speaking on Sunday during a mass wedding of 1,520 couples sponsored by the Kano state government, Sanusi warned that any title holder found wanting would “outrightly lose his title.”

According to Sanusi, “You should all come back to your senses and stop these barbaric [acts] because we will not allow these to continue in Kano.

“I have warned all district heads, village heads, ward heads and imams to also desist from the bad habit of beating their wives and whoever among them is reported to me to have beaten up his wife, would outrightly lose his title.”

The former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, noted that he won’t be backing down from making law against poor men seeking to marry more than one wife.

He explained that although the law was not meant to stop Muslims from marrying up to four wives, it regulates how a man should treat his wives and children according to the tenets of Islam.

He said: “We are going meet on Wednesday this week to review the over 80 pages of the law and make the necessary adjustment before presenting it to the State House of Assembly for passage into law.”

“I think you want to challenge God who tells us that men are the heads of the family.

Men In Pakistan Encouraged To “Lightly Beat” Their Wives If They…

A constitutional body in Pakistan put forth legislation that would allow men to “lightly beat” their wives if they refuse sex or decline to wear outfits preferred by their husbands.

The Council of Islamic Ideology, also known as CII, proposed the legislation last week and it’s already sparked anger in Pakistan. The 160-page draft has to be finalized before it’s sent off for approval, because the CII cannot make laws. Instead, it gives suggestions to Pakistan’s government and parliament.

In addition to suggesting that men beat their wives for refusing sex, the proposal also suggests that men use “limited violence” on their wives if they don’t bathe after intercourse or during menstruation.

“Hit her in areas where her skin is not too thick and not too thin,” CII leader Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani told the press. “Do not use shoes or a broom on the head, or hit her on the nose or eyes.”

He added, “Do not break any bones or cut her skin or leave any marks. Do not hit her vindictively, but only for reminding her about her religious duties.”

Tambuwal, Osinbajo’s Wives Move To Improve Children, Woman’s Welfare

In an effort to improve the well-being of Sokoto women and children by ensuring access to education and health opportunities, wife of the Sokoto Governor, Hajiya Maria Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Thursday visited the wife of the Vice President, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa.

The meeting was designed to help Sokoto state become the champions of change on issues like women’s health, girl-child education, improving child mortality, and boosting women’s economic empowerment.

In her remarks, Mrs Tambuwal said the state government is mapping out modalities to increase the number of women entrepreneurs so they can build themselves and help their families and communities at large.

This, according to her, becomes imperative because it will reduce poverty rate across the state.
She said women in Sokoto are receptive to new ideas, and have in the past shown the need to work with the authorities and development agencies to improve their lots and seek a better future for their children.

“We need the support of the Federal Government in that regard,” she added.

Responding, Mrs Osinbajo appreciated the fact that Mrs Tambuwal had come with a clear agenda to tackle the problems of girls education and women empowerment.

It Is Dangerous Marrying One wife As A Muslim, You Need Two & Above – Muslim Scholar

Well known for his tough lectures, popular Islamic scholar and preacher, Sheik Muyideen Bello is at it again. Bello has said a Muslim man will be doing himself more harm by marrying just one wife, but instead he will advise such a man to start with two. He made this known in one of his lectures titled Legal Marriage. Enjoy!

“Allah said a man should marry any kind of woman he likes. As a man, if you want to marry a fair-complexioned or dark woman, marry her. Allah said we should start from 2 women. I know women will not like to hear this. If you have to marry, start with 2 women, that is what the Quran says. The Yorubas have a saying that a man with 1 woman isn’t a real man. For instance if you are
married to 1 wife and she over-salts your food, you have just 1 wife. You don’t have a choice than to eat the food or buy food outside.

“I have received so many messages from people that why should I encourage polygamy. I tell them, is it me encouraging polygamy? Allah said you should marry 2, 3, 4. Allah said if as a man you know you can’t take care of them, then marry 1. Then if you are a me&my wife kind of man, the implications are too many. As Muslims, 4 women is the maximum a man can have, have 2 living with you then if you have 2 houses outside, you put the other 2 there. The implications in marrying just 1 wife are too many.

Man Reveals His Shocking Discovery That He had Twins His Ex-Girlfriend Said She had Aborted

Story as shared on TheHumansofLagos by our guy pictured above:

I have two daughters (twins) I didn’t know existed till recently. I wouldn’t have known if someone had not told me they saw a picture of my ‘ex’ with 2 girls who looked exactly like me.

I got a girl pregnant 14 years ago when I went to Abuja to spend the holiday with my Sister. We were both teenagers and inexperienced, we spent so much time together and one day one thing led to the other and we had sex. It was both our first time and we didn’t
know what we were doing.

When her parents found out, her senator father threatened to kill me if they ever see me, they said they would rather abort the pregnancy than let their daughter have a baby for someone from a poor home with no background. Some days later she came and told me her mum took her to a hospital and the pregnancy was terminated, I cried so much that day. She also told me her dad was seriously looking for me to arrest me and they asked her to say I raped her but she refused.

Apparently, they lied to me about the abortion, there was no abortion. She was sent abroad and she had the babies there. They are still abroad and I don’t know if they even know about me.

“My Wife Does Not Have Any Vagina Opening”, Man Tells Court

An Abeokuta Customary Court sitting in Ake on Wednesday dissolved a three-year-old marriage between Mr Femi Olayiwole and wife, Kemi, due to the absence of vagina, deceit and frequent fighting.

Olayiwole told the court that his wife deceived him to marry her knowing that she could not bear him a child.

He accused his wife, who had failed to appear in court after being summoned several times, of living a false life, frequent fighting and threatening his life.

“My wife had been deceiving me since we got married I have never seen her pass through menstruation. My wife does not have any vagina opening.

“Anytime I ask her for sex, she would give an excuse to back up her refusal. Meanwhile, we have been praying to God to give us children.

“My wife did not tell me anything about her condition before we got married, until February this year that she confessed to me that she had never experienced menstruation in her life.

“I thought she was lying, so I went to see her parents who told me it was true, and that they thought their daughter explained to me before we got married,” Olayiwole told the court.

He pleaded with the court’s president to dissolve his three-year-old marriage that had nothing to show for both now and in future.

The defendant was absent in spite several summons by the court.

The court’s president, Mr, Olalekan Akande, dissolved the marriage, saying that both parties had made up their minds to part ways.

Akande said that both parties were free to remarry anybody of their choice, adding that the document of the marriage dissolution should be sent to Kemi.

Boko Haram Slaughter Wives To Prevent Them From Marrying Infidels In The Future

Dozens of Nigerian women who were forced to marry Boko Haram fighters were reportedly slaughtered by their “husbands” before a battle with troops in the northeast town of Bama, multiple witnesses said Thursday.

Five witnesses who recounted the massacres to AFP said the Islamist militants feared they would be killed by advancing soldiers or separated from their wives when they fled the town.

They killed the women to prevent them from subsequently marrying soldiers or other so-called non-believers, they added. “The terrorists said they will not allow their wives to be married to infidels,” said Sharifatu Bakura, 39, a mother of three.
