Solange Marrying Music & Art Is Pure Magic, See What She Did At Jimmy Fallon Show

The “Cranes In The Sky” diva keeps raising the bar of creativity in every live performance. Solange Knowles of Saint Records once again brought magic to the Jimmy Fallon show with an unusual connection (literally) with her back up singers.
Draped in pink on a pink background, Solange stayed tied up with her back up singers in a dress or three dresses rather, which were attached to each other. The sight was pure art, music and magic.

What Trump Discussed With Kanye West

Rap superstar Kanye West on Tuesday delivered a surprise even in this most unusual of political years — he met President-elect Donald Trump, marking the artist’s first appearance since a reported mental breakdown.

West, a rare US celebrity to voice support for Donald Trump, showed up in the early morning with an entourage and his own cameraman at Trump Tower and boarded the elevator of the tycoon’s skyscraper home.

An uncharacteristically taciturn West returned to the lobby with the president-elect himself who, pressed on what the two discussed, said: “Life.”

“Just friends, just friends. He’s a good man. Long time. Friends for a long time,” said a visibly upbeat Trump.

West, sporting a fitted black sweatshirt, at first stood sullenly with his arms folded as reporters peppered him with questions — including on whether he would make good on his earlier promise to run for president in 2020, presumably challenging Trump.

“I’m just here to take a picture right now,” West finally said before flashing a smile and a thumbs-up sign.

Notably absent was the rapper’s wife, reality television star Kim Kardashian.

She has kept a low profile since gunmen broke into her Paris hotel room and robbed her of $10 million worth of jewelry — and gossip pages have recently speculated on the state of the couple’s marriage.

Donald Trump Reveals What He Plans To Do 100 Days In Office (WATCH VIDEO)

Nearly two weeks after winning the 2016 presidential election, Donald Trump has yet to hold a single news conference — an unprecedented move for the president-elect and a sign his administration will likely be one of the least accessible to the press (and therefore the public) in recent history.

Dodging reporters altogether, the president-elect instead opted to release a “video message” on Monday via the Transition 2017 social media channels, explaining his plans for his first 100 days in office and giving a brief, non-update about how the transition is going.

As with his campaign, in the video, Trump claims his overarching goal is to put “America first.” This allegedly entails withdrawing the U.S. from the Trans-Pacific Partnership on his first day in office; removing restrictions on energy production; reducing the number of regulations (his idea: with everyone new one, remove two old ones); developing a plan to protect America’s infrastructure from cyber-attacks; investigating “abuses” of all visa programs; and imposing a five-year ban on lobbying.

“These are just a few of the steps we will take to reform Washington and rebuild our middle class,” he said. “I will provide more updates in the coming days, as we work together to make America great again for everyone, and I mean everyone.”

President Buhari Reveals What Recovered Loots Will Be Used For

As Nigeria continues to battle economic recession, the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government has proposed to fund part of the 2017 budget deficit of N2.69 trillion from monies recovered from looters.
According to reports, FG in a Medium Term Expenditure Framework/Fiscal Strategy Paper submitted to the National Assembly is proposing to spend the sum of N6.86tn in 2017, with total revenue of N4.16tn.
With a funding gap of N2.69tn, the government said part of the deficit would be financed with recoveries from looted funds, the rest would be from borrowings.
“Based on the revenue and expenditure estimates, the fiscal deficit is estimated to increase by about N492bn or 22.32 per cent from the estimate of N2.2tn in 2016.
“However, while this remains below the maximum three per cent of the Gross Domestic Product stipulated in the Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2007, it is projected to take a downward turn afterwards.
“The deficit is to be financed mainly by borrowing as well as recoveries of misappropriated public funds/assets.”
“Borrowing will be geared towards funding critical capital projects that have potential to effectively increase productivity, and hence, provide mechanism for refinancing the debt,” the document read in part.

What We Do With Recovered Looted Funds– EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, says all looted funds recovered by it are paid into the consolidated revenue account of the Federal Government.

The commission made this known on its Twitter handle, @officialefcc in response to a question from one of its followers.

In a tweet to the commission through the handle @asantoo11a, the follower had asked; “When are we sharing our recovered looted money’’.

“Recovered funds are paid into the consolidated revenue account of the Federal Government,’’ it tweeted in reply.

Some Nigerians have raised questions about where crime proceeds recovered by the commission are kept.

The EFCC also said there was no hiding place for looters, including those who travel abroad to evade the arm of the law.

“Our network of partners includes the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and other international law enforcement agencies.

“Perpetrators cannot hide forever. Send a petition,” it said in response to an enquiry by one Biyi Soremekun.

Using the handle @adebiyie200, Soremekun asked what would happen in a situation where an individual travels out of the country after perpetrating fraud.

“What happens in a situation where someone defrauds you through issuance of dud cheques or falsification of land documents and leaves the country before you realise it”?

The commission advised victims and members of the general public to forward their petitions through its offices nearest to them, adding that they could do so anonymously.

See What A Mother Did To Her Daughter For Failing To Attend Classes

A cruel mum chained her young daughter to a street lamp post as punishment for playing truant from school. The photo shows the tearful eight-year-old child with a metal chain hooked around her ankle and tied to a large metal post. The youngster covered her mouth and looked on with a sad expression after being left there by her raging mother.

Horrified onlookers heard the girl crying in the car park outside the family’s apartment on Wednesday afternoon. They tried to free her but the thick chain had been secured with two padlocks – leaving the youngster stuck for over an hour before police arrived.

She told cops that her 30-year-old mum had punished her because she failed to attend mandarin classes at school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The girl had been locked up for around an hour before neighbours called police, who arrived around ten minutes later and tracked down the mum. The unemployed woman was taken in for questioning and later released.

What Buhari, APC Governors Discussed In Closed Door Meeting (SEE PHOTOS)

The All Progressives Congress on Monday said the lingering economic crisis in the country should no longer be blamed on the 16-year streak of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The party said it could no longer continue to blame past administrations for the enormous hardship Nigerians are grappling with.

The party’s new position was disclosed by the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, when he briefed reporters shortly after he and other APC governors met with President Muhammadu Buhari in the State House on Monday afternoon.

“We must take responsibility and we must never shift the responsibility to anybody,” Mr. Okorocha said. “We are responsible for everything happening in Nigeria.”

“The good, the bad, the ugly but we are promising Nigerians that we shall fix it,” Mr. Okorocha said.

The admission followed months of stern denial from the leadership of the APC and the Buhari administration, who maintained that Nigerians should direct their anger towards the PDP.

Between mid-August and early September, the APC joined issues with the PDP for the latter’s role in bringing Nigeria to its current unbearable state.

The party’s chairman, John Oyegun, admonished the PDP to desist from commenting about economic matters, saying the party should apologise for its 16-year rule instead.

“It was stomach-churning and downright immoral for the ruinous PDP, which has yet to show remorse or exhibit any form of penitence for presiding over the mindless looting of the nation’s treasury, to now put itself up as the saviour of Nigerians,” Mr. Oyegun said in an August 22 statement.

Mr. Oyegun reiterated his position on September 5, a week after the country officially plunged into recession.

Barely a week later on September 22,President Buhari again blamed the PDP for ruining the economy.

progressive-governors4

“After 16 years of PDP regime, there was no power supply, no much infrastructure, no rail and no security; this is what it left for us,’’ Mr. Buhari said.

But Mr. Okorocha, who is also the chairman of APC Governors’ Forum, said the party had now recognised that Nigerians are experiencing untold economic pains and his party had commenced initiatives that would address them.

“We share the pains of Nigerians, every human being must feel it,” Mr. Okorocha said. “We also feel what they are going through but we are asking for a little patience let us do things the right way and do it once and for all.”

This Is What Happens If You Don’t Shower For Two Days

Having a shower is a daily routine for most of us, but if you’ve ever been tempted to skip your body-washing session when you’re rushed for time one morning, you might want to think again.

According to an article published by TwentyTwoWords, there are a number of pretty gross things that happen to your body when you skip showering for two days straight. The first problem comes down to bacteria.

Humans carry around 1,000 types of bacteria around with them, including 40 types of fungus, reports the website. While most of these are actually good for us, it needs help fighting off the bad bacteria from soap.

“You can’t contain the bad bacteria if you don’t shower,” the site explains. “And if they find their way to your eyes, nose, or mouth, you can get sick.”

Bacteria is also the cause of body odor. In fact, the gases given off by bacteria can reportedly lead to around 30 nasty smells from one body. Lovely.

And if that isn’t enough to make you take showering seriously, there’s another great reason to keep clean, as it’s also vital for healthy skin. Showering helps to keep skin blemish-free by preventing oils in the skin from building up, which is particularly important if you regularly work out.

“Keeping moist, salty sweat soaked clothing close to your skin for long periods after working out leads to irritation and the increased risk of small abrasions or skin breakdown,” Holly L. Phillips, M.D., a women’s health physician told Women’s Health. “This can raise your risk of bacterial and fungal infections, like staph bacteria or the fungus that causes jock itch.”

If you really must skip a shower, Phillips says it’s essential to change out of your gym clothes and dermatologists recommend to always keep the armpits, groin and face clean, as these areas are said to be especially prone to attracting bacteria.

However, fans of really long showers will be disappointed hear these don’t do your skin any good either. Too much shower time can strip the oils from your body, which can leave your skin feeling dry and flaky. On the plus side, no one will complain about your funky smell.

Jay Z Introduces His Wife To Holly Holm & She Asked Her What Her Name Was

In an interview, Holm talks about her encounter with Jay-Z and Beyonce. Apparently, a courteous habit of hers kicked in and made things a little awkward between her and Beyonce:

“I meet Jay-Z and he says “This is my wife,” and I’m like, “Oh, hi, what’s your name?” ‘Cos that’s what I do when I meet someone’s wife. And as I’m shaking her hand, I’m thinking, “Why did I just say that? Why did I just say that? It’s Beyonce. Then Jay-Z’s asking me about the fight, and I can’t even focus on what he’s saying because I just put my foot in my mouth. And I literally have to interrupt him, I’m like, “I’m really sorry.” And I go back to Beyonce, and I’m like, “Beyonce, like, I can’t believe I just did that.” Yeah, she goes, “Oh, no it’s fine.” I’m like, “No, like, I really, really — it’s like such an honor to meet you.”

What Actually Ruined Ciara & Monica’s Friendship

At this point, it’s been established that Monica and Ciara’s friendship is a thing of the past. And while the source of their conflict remains a mystery, the singer is adamant that Ci’s ex-fiancé Future’s alleged infidelity is not what drove them apart.

“I read something that I didn’t tell her about somebody cheating, none of that stuff is true,” she told Streetz 94.5in Atlanta. “They say I was friends with somebody he was cheating with, none of that stuff is true. I am friends with one of the mothers of one of Future’s children, but it’s the mom that you never see, you never hear, that Ciara also has a good relationship with. So a lot of the stuff you read is very untrue. Nothing that happened with us had anything to do with him.”

Actually, the mom and wife refused to point to one particular issue as the cause of their broken 20-year friendship. She did, however, reveal that for years, they failed to properly address problems they had with one another. The singer explains.

What Saraki Told Obasanjo

Facts have emerged showing why Senate President Bukola Saraki led a delegation of Senators to meet former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his hilltop mansion, Abeokuta, Ogun state on Friday.

A source who was part of the meeting informed PREMIUM TIMES that the Senate President was in Abeokuta to beg Mr. Obasanjo to reconcile him with President Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Mr. Saraki emerged as the president of the Senate against the decision of APC leaders. He was also elected when most Senators from the APC were at the International Conference Centre waiting to hold a meeting with Mr. Buhari to discuss the election of the Senate president and Speaker of the House of Representatives.

We also gathered that Mr. Saraki lamented that although the party leaders have stated that they have accepted his emergence, there was “complete communication breakdown between him, the president and the party”.

The national chairman of the APC, John Oyegun, had abruptly cancelled a scheduled meeting with Mr. Saraki last week without giving another appointment.

Likewise, we also gathered that Mr. Saraki had tried severally to meet with Mr. Buhari after his emergence, but was always denied audience.

Another source in the presidency informed us that the President was angry with Mr. Saraki and the management of the national assembly for going ahead with their election despite adequate knowledge of an invitation for a meeting with Mr. Saraki and his colleagues.

“The president considered it as a mark of disrespect for his office for Saraki to ignore an invitation to meet with him and his colleagues,” our source said.

In his response, Mr. Obasanjo promised to do his best to “ensure communication between all parties”.

However, the spokesperson for the president, Garba Shehu, said the Senate president did not seek to meet with Mr. Buhari.

“I am not aware of any request for a meeting, the president would have seen him, he represents a key institution in our democracy,” he said.
