Bride Gets Dumped Week To Her Wedding, Destroys Wedding Gown In Heart Touching Way

Kilee Manulak was only a week away from her wedding when her husband-to-be dropped a bomb on her.

Well, not so much of a bomb as a text message saying he didn’t want to marry her.

“I just kind of went numb,” the Florida woman told WFLA. “My maid of honor, my mom and all my friends just helped me… I was just so devastated.”

She did allow herself a few days to grieve, but afterward she decided to “get even” with her ex in her own way — by signing up with her bridesmaids for the Color Fun Fest in Tampa, Florida. The goal: to ruin their dresses.

Manulak loved her dress and wanted to keep it after her wedding, but since it didn’t happen — and it signified sadness — she wanted to get rid of it.

“I wanted to maybe alter it, or do something new to it,” she said of her post-wedding plans for the gorgeous gown. “But I definitely didn’t want to destroy it.”

Manulak feels the same way about her broken wedding.

“I definitely want to tell him thank you for sparing me heartaches down the road, and thank you for letting me go so I can find true happiness,” Manulak said of what she wants her ex-fiancé to know now.

Answer This 1 Question With Your Husband Every Week For A Healthy Marriage

One question once a week can significantly improve the health of your marriage, the Wall Street Journal reports. According to marriage therapists, many couples let problems fester way too long without resolving them, and by the time the problem is big enough for them to seek therapy for it, it’s already done too much damage to repair. The key, says Dr. James Cordova, professor of psychology and director of the Center for Couples and Family Research at Clark University, is to schedule regular check-ups with your partner where you air your little issues before they get out of control.

Scientists and married couple Drs. Kathlyn and Gay Hendricks came up with one question they ask each other every week (well, they do it Tuesdaysand Thursdays, but we can’t all be such over-achievers). The question is: “How are we doing working together as a partnership?”

The Hendrickses use the question to talk about how they’re “working together as a team for our children, working together toward financial goals, or being together so we both have a great sexual experience” every week, but you can use it to think about ways you’re being good — or not so great — partners to each other that are specific to your relationship.

Dr. Cordova points out that while women often notice marriage issues early and suggest counseling, men are more resistant to seeing a therapist, so these weekly check-ins can be a lower pressure way to keep communication open and your marriage healthy.

Buhari Moves To Aso Rock Villa This Week

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will move to the Aso Rock Presidential Villa this week, Daily Trust has learnt.

Due to the ongoing renovation of the State House, Buhari and Osinbajo had been operating from the Defence House Abuja since their inauguration on May 29.

But our correspondent learnt this morning that the contractors, Julius Berger Plc, will complete its work and formally hand over the Presidential Villa today.

As of 12 noon, Julius Berger staff were still renovating the vice president wing of the State House. They were seen painting the walls and fixing air-conditioners.

Some of them told our correspondent on condition of anonymity few minutes ago that the president’s side of the Villa, including his residence, offices and the Council Chambers, had been completely renovated.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, had said last Monday that his principal would move to the Aso Rock Villa when the contractors completed the renovation.

“The contractors are working probably at their own pace. If I need to know or if you need to know this, probably, we have to talk to someone. I am not saying he (the president) is comfortable where he is at his rented house, but he is operating from there at the moment. When the Villa is ready, he will move”, Shehu had told journalists.

Buhari’s Cabinet Emerges A Week After May 29

Names of Ministers who will serve under the new administration of the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari would be unveiled within one week after the administration is inaugurated on May 29. The cabinet is likely to be a lean one.

Buhari, who stated this while unveiling his economic policies at a Lagos Business School breakfast meeting on Tuesday, noted that he would cut down the number of ministers to be appointed. He maintained that individuals with any whiff of corruption or any kind of taint will not be in the cabinet.

Represented by former Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayem, Buhari stated that there would be very little action from his administration until October, partly due to the fact that  President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration prepared the currently existing 2015 budget.
