Video evidence of $1M cash recovered from Badeh presented in court by EFCC.

A Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja, presided over by Justice Okon Abang on Wednesday admitted in evidence the search warrant used by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in conducting a search on a house located at No. 6, Ogun Rivers Street, Maitama, Abuja belonging to a former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh. during which $1million cash was recovered in his wardrobe.

Mr. Badeh is standing trial alongside Iyalikam Nigeria Limited on a 10-count charge bordering on money laundering, criminal breach of trust and corruption to the tune of N3.97 billion.

He allegedly abused his office as CDS by using the dollar equivalent of the sum of N1.4 billion removed from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force to purchase properties in choice areas of Abuja between January and December, 2013.

At the last sitting, the EFCC through its PW15, Mohammed Goji, told the court how a search conducted on the house of the former CDS led to the recovery of the money.

Attempt by the prosecuting counsel, Rotimi Jacobs to tender the search warrant, a red box and the waybill as evidence was, however, objected to by Mr. Badeh’s counsel, Lasun Sanusi.

Mr. Sanusi argued that the documents were purportedly obtained from an illegal search.

According to him, the law gave the owner of the property the impetus to nominate a representative to witness such search if he or she could not be present.

“It is on record that the defendant was still in detention when the purported search was done in his house at Maitama which is a clear violation of the law.

“My Lord, we are not against the court admitting the search warrant as evidence but we vehemently oppose to the admissibility of the other items,’’ he said.

In response, Mr. Jacobs argued that Section 149 and 150 of ACJA which deals with house search warrant permitted the presence of two witnesses and the person the warrant is addressed to. He went further to explain how the witness can be any one in the neighbourhood.

Justice Abang in his ruling on the admissibility of the documents at the resumed sitting on Wednesday held that, “the first search warrant dated February 3, 2016 and executed on February 11, 2016 was not objected to” and it’s marked at exhibit T103.

The judge also held that issue of the legality of the item “is premature at this time” adding that, “it’s an issue for evidence in the final address”.

Consequently, the documents were admitted as exhibits T104, T105, T106 respectively.

Under further cross-examination, the PW15 insisted that the search was conducted in line with the enabling law and was recorded in a video clip.

Mr. Jacobs sought to tender the clip in evidence saying, “I will like to tender the DVD containing the search in evidence”, but its admissibility was again objected to by Mr. Sanusi, who said the document never came as part of the proof of evidence.

Mr. Sanusi added that, “we are seeing it for the first time in court even in civil cases we are to be given a copy of evidence so that we don’t fall into an ambush”.

He, therefore, asked for adjournment to enable him go through the evidence with his client.

Justice Abang after listening to the submissions of both counsel ordered the prosecution to oblige the defence with a copy of the clip and other documents they might wish to tender as evidence in the course of the trial.

The judge, thereafter, adjourned to March 20 – 23 for continuation of trial.

Putin Reacts To The Assassination Of His Ambassador’s In Ankara (WATCH VIDEO)

Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin has reacted to the murder of his Ambassador to Turkey, Andrey Karlov who was killed on Monday in the capital, Ankara.

Karlov was giving a speech at an art exhibition when he was shot in the back by a gunman who shouted Islamist slogans and spoke about the situation in the war-torn Syrian city of Aleppo.

However, Putin’s reaction is what many have waited for. Watch video below:

Police dares Wike to prove rigging allegation by releasing video

The Rivers State Police Command has challenged the state governor, Nyesom Wike to prove his latest allegation about plots to rig the forthcoming rerun legislative elections in parts of the state by making public the purported video.

Wike had during his outing at Abonnema in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area claimed that the state government was in possession of audio-visual footage of alleged plot to rig the rerun.

He also accused the Commissioner of Police, Francis Odesanya of involvement in the alleged plot with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

But the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in the state, Nnamdi Omoni challenged the Rivers State Government to release the video.

Omoni said, “We are not aware of it. It is a mere allegation which is not verifiable. We insist that his allegation is never correct. Such thing never happened.

“If the Governor claims he has a video footage, a video recording or audio recording let him bring it out and make it public so everybody will see.

“As it stands what he said is still speculative and it does not offer any futuristic defence.”

Meanwhile, All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State has alleged that Wike is getting out of hand in his sundry allegations in the buildup to the rerun elections on December 10.

The Rivers APC stated that with less than two weeks to the legislative rerun, the Governor appears to have thrown caution to the wind as he launches a campaign of blackmail on everyone especially the APC, INEC and the Nigeria Police.

State Publicity Secretary of APC, Chris Finebone noted, in a statement, that Wike was putting up what he described as “a pitiable image of a disarmed dictator.”

In a counter allegation, the APC spokesman said Governor Wike has never embarked on any election without buying over the police and the rest of the security agencies.

The statement reads, “Governor Wike has also not engaged in any election without taking firm control of the election umpire and the judiciary.

“As the rerun elections approach, it appears to be dawning on the Governor that times have changed, as the security agencies are way beyond his influence.

“Despite still having pockets of moles in the Independent National Electoral Commission, the Rivers State Governor has lost the services of the top echelon of the commission due to the anti-corruption stance of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.”

Re-run: Wike To Release Video Implicating CP

Rivers  State  governor,Mr.  Nyesom  Ezenwo  Wike, has  announced  that  the state government would, in the  coming  weeks,  release audio-visual footages of the  state commissioner of police, Mr.Francis Odesanya, allegedly plotting with politicians on the methods  to  be  adopted  in  rigging  the December 10 rescheduled legislative elections.

Governor  Wike,  in  a  press statement  signed  by  his  Special Assistant,  Electronic  Media,  Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu, made the announcement while flagging off rehabilitation works of the General Hospital,  Abonnema  in  AkukuToru  Local  Government  Area  of the state, yesterday.

According  to  him,  the  audiovisual  footages  would  be  made public  through  different  media platforms  to  expose  the  extreme rigging  desires  of  the  Independent  National  Electoral  Commission  (INEC),  with  the  backing of  the  police  and  other  security

agencies. The  governor  further  alleged that  600  policemen  working  with the  Special  Anti-Robbery  Squad (SARS)  in  the  state  have  already been distributed to prominent APC leaders on local government basis by the Police Commissioner for the indiscriminate  arrest  of  Peoples  Democratic  Party  (PDP)  supporters a few days to the election. The governor added that the 600

SARS  personnel  so  distributed would also be used to unleash unprecedented  violence  on  the  people  on  election  day,  so  that  APC leaders would have time to substitute result sheets handed over to them by the INEC leadership.

“We  are  now  in  possession  of the  DVD  of  how  the  Police  Commissioner  and  some  politicians were  planning  on  how  to  rig  the forthcoming  legislative  re-run elections  in  Rivers  State.  At  the  appropriate time, we shall release the  materials  for  Nigerians  to understand the depth of the electoral  fraud  being  perpetrated  by

INEC and Police. “For  the  security  of  this  all important  audio-visual  material, we have mass-produced them and kept  them  at  different  locations. Nigerians  are  entitled  to  know the  truth  about  the  unfortunate rigging machine. “Now that we have caught them on tape, this will shake the world.

Rivers State is not like other states  where  you  can  plot  and  execute easy rigging plans.

Donald Trump Reveals What He Plans To Do 100 Days In Office (WATCH VIDEO)

Nearly two weeks after winning the 2016 presidential election, Donald Trump has yet to hold a single news conference — an unprecedented move for the president-elect and a sign his administration will likely be one of the least accessible to the press (and therefore the public) in recent history.

Dodging reporters altogether, the president-elect instead opted to release a “video message” on Monday via the Transition 2017 social media channels, explaining his plans for his first 100 days in office and giving a brief, non-update about how the transition is going.

As with his campaign, in the video, Trump claims his overarching goal is to put “America first.” This allegedly entails withdrawing the U.S. from the Trans-Pacific Partnership on his first day in office; removing restrictions on energy production; reducing the number of regulations (his idea: with everyone new one, remove two old ones); developing a plan to protect America’s infrastructure from cyber-attacks; investigating “abuses” of all visa programs; and imposing a five-year ban on lobbying.

“These are just a few of the steps we will take to reform Washington and rebuild our middle class,” he said. “I will provide more updates in the coming days, as we work together to make America great again for everyone, and I mean everyone.”

Michelle Obama Responds To Those Who Want Her To “Run For President” (WATCH VIDEO)

In light of this truly unprecedented election, many of those devastated with the results have openly expressed their belief that only one person is capable of saving the U.S. when Donald Trump is up for re-election in 2020: Michelle Obama.

But while the first lady has made it clear on multiple occasions she has no intentions of running for president, that hasn’t stopped her millions of fans from hoping and praying that she’ll change her mind. And it seems she might at least finally be softening up just slightly to the idea: When a random fan shouted “run for president!” during an event for veteran homelessness at the White House on Monday, rather than immediately shut it down as per usual, she instead laughed and said… Watch Video below:

WhatsApp on a major takeover, launches video calling for everyone.

WhatsApp wants to be international cross-platform FaceTime. Today Facebook-owned chat service WhatsApp is officially launching video calling for its over 1 billion users worldwide on iOS, Android and Windows Phone. Its debut follows a series of reports from people who recently found the feature had been enabled in beta versions of WhatsApp on Android and on Windows Phone – an indication that a public debut was on the near horizon.

To use the new feature, WhatsApp users can hit the call button in the top right corner of a conversation, which will bring up an overlaid interstitial asking if you want to voice or video call the friend or family member you’re chatting with. To kick off the video call, you simply select the “video call” option from this screen.

During the call itself, you can switch between the forward-facing and rear camera, mute the call or press the red button to hang up. It seems the user interface varies slightly on Android and iPhone in terms of where the picture-in-picture video feed is displayed, as well as the buttons’ size, lineup and placement. (See images and video below).

WhatsApp already supports a number of standard features for communications apps, including group texting and voice calling. But the company says that video calling has remained one of its top feature requests from users.

With video calling, WhatsApp is belatedly catching up with a number of rivals, including Facebook’s own Messenger app, for example, as well as Skype, Apple’s FaceTime, Viber, LINE and Google’s recently launched Duo, to name a few.

Though a late entrant, WhatsApp still has a massive user base and the addition of the feature could help them from fleeing to other messaging and calling platforms. In addition, WhatsApp touts its cross-platform support as one of the reasons to use video calling in its app, instead of elsewhere.

“…we want to make these features available to everyone, not just those who can afford the most expensive new phones or live in countries with the best cellular networks,” the company said in its announcement, published today.

That’s a direct shot at things like FaceTime, which only works on Apple devices, as well as newer arrivals, like Google Duo, which only runs on later versions of iOS and Android (Jelly Bean and up, or iOS 9 and up).

You may not immediately see video calling in WhatsApp today, however. The rollout is staged, meaning it will arrive over the days ahead as it reaches the entire WhatsApp user base.

Video calling isn’t the only new addition to arrive recently. The company also rolled out two-factor authentication in some of its beta versions, hinting that its next big release could be a security-focused upgrade.

By retaining its simple interface but embracing more vivid connections beyond texting, WhatsApp could flourish with users no matter how they want to communicate.

Finally Ex-Miss Anambra Beauty Queen Opens Up On Sex Video Scandal

Since the story of the sex video involving former Miss Anambra, Chidinma Okeke, broke a few weeks ago, several groups and individuals have come forward with different versions of what transpired between the embattled 20-year-old beauty queen and the organisers of the pageant.

The former beauty queen was seen in a shocking x-rated video with a lesbian partner. Surprisingly, the video was released on October 11, 2016, a few days before the expiration of her tenure originally billed for October 28, 2016.

Every day across the state since the video hit the streets, different versions of what led to the scandal are churned out by the actors, leaving the people confused and unsure of what to believe.

Since the scandal broke, Miss Chidinma Okeke, who won the Miss Anambra beauty pageant, organised by the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), has remained incommunicado, choosing to go into hiding over alleged threats to her life. She has also remained silent, leaving her lawyer to do most of the talking.

While the father, Sir Jeremiah Okeke, had claimed in recent reports that his daughter had been handed over to a relation for safety, some others claimed that the ex-beauty queen had relocated abroad.

But after weeks of keeping quiet, Miss Okeke has finally broken her silence. In an exclusive interview with The Nation, she debunked claims that she threatened to commit suicide, adding that there was never a time such thought came to her mind.

She also said her life might no longer be in danger, adding that her traducers were no longer threatening her life, and maintaining that those who were after her life had stopped contacting her.

She also said the faces behind her agonizing period in Anambra would be revealed soon, adding that with God, all things are possible.

Narrating her own side of the story, she said: “Early last year, the ABS advertised for the Miss Anambra beauty pageant. I heard of it and went to make enquiry.

“My roommate was also interested, but one of the organisers told me to apply. I told them I was not interested but the man insisted that I might win the competition. He also promised to give me the form for free if I indicated interest, and he did when I agreed to contest.

“But one Jane told me that before a winner would be declared, there were certain things to be done, including the (sex) video. I consented after some persuasion from the organisers. I later went for the contest at the Marble Arch Hotels in Awka, and I was declared winner with a Kia Rio vehicle as star prize.

“When I went for my car after the contest, the organisers brought out a contract form for me to sign, but I told them I wanted to contact my lawyer to see it. I was not given the opportunity to do so.

“What they kept telling me was that if I insisted on not signing the contract or wanted to contact my lawyer, they would release the video.

“At that point, I became uncomfortable and signed the contract to avoid such embarrassment, and the car was released to me from where it was packed within the premises of ABS.

“From that moment, I became a slave to them. On October 11, 2016, they called me to come and make presentations inside the office of one the organisers. After that, the man excused some people in that room and showed me the video again.

“They told me to drop my car and removed my crown from me. I told them I would take the car as stipulated in the contract. They insisted I should pack it in the premises of (ABS).

“I told my uncle in Abuja about the situation. My uncle called them and asked them to release my car to me. Instead, they forwarded the video to him as part of the blackmail. That was what happened,” Chidinma said, crying.

She also said the scandal had weighed her down. Amidst sobs, she denied being a lesbian, saying she had never been involved in the act.

For her parents, Sir Jeremiah and his wife, Lady Nora Okeke, the incident remains a shock. According to Sir Okeke, the management and organisers of the pageant capitalised on his daughter’s “age and naivety to deny her whatever monetary gains she made while serving as Miss Anambra.”

He added: “How can a beauty queen borrow money to pay her driver, even when she is supposed to be receiving a monthly salary?

“I cannot say all that I heard or saw. Why was she not paid her winning prize of one million naira fully? Rather, they paid her on installmental basis. And up until today, the money has not been completely paid.

“They have rubbished her and rubbed the family’s name in the mud. But we have united as a family, praying seriously for my daughter and for the people behind this wicked act to be exposed.

“My family at first agreed not to tell me about the whole thing, because I am hypertensive. But they decided otherwise when things got out of hand. I told them this issue will not kill me because I have had worse experiences while in business years back.

“My God, as always, will answer me and expose the truth in no distant time. I won’t say much because the damage has already been done.

“Chidinma is a small girl who does not know anything, hence, she fell into a trap that was too heavy for her to shoulder. But I thank God she is recovering.”

All through the interview, Chidinma’s mother, who was advised by the husband to remain silent, continued to hiss, and motioning her hands towards the heavens in supplication to God.

Two of the chiefs in Ogboji community in Orumba South Local Government Area, where Chidinma hails from, Chief Obi Okoli (Idejimba) and Chief Julius Nwankwo (Nwabulu-Omee), told The Nation that the incident had left them in shock.

Okoli, who described Chidinma as a nice and well-trained girl from a Christian home, saw the entire thing as a set up, but argued that such issues would only happen if somebody presents oneself.

According to him, “she is a well brought up girl from a good family background and Christian home. There could be more to this than meets the eyes.”

Asked if the community was not going to say anything on the sex scandal involving their daughter, Okoli laughed and said: “There are ways of handling such issues, and I don’t think the community will be involved.”

Also speaking, Chief Julius Nwankwo, described the situation as a pity, adding that today’s children behave as they like.

However, he said that the people of Ogboji community were seeing it as blackmail, adding that none of them was happy with what happened to their daughter.

He said: “As an Ogboji man, I am pained that such a thing happened to one of our own, and that is why we want the authorities concerned to look into the saga appropriately, with a view to arresting those involved.

“When our daughter won the award, we were happy. For anybody or group of persons to rubbish her and our community is what we will not condone.”

Nwankwo said they heard some people had been apprehended over the sex scandal, adding that the authorities should look well in making sure that wrong people were not punished.

The Managing Director of ABS, the organisers, Uche Nworah did not comment on the queen’s allegations when we contacted him. He instead  referred us to the organisation’s earlier statement.

In the earlier statement, the organisers had dissociated themselves from the scandal. Part of the statement read: “The attention of the management of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, organisers of the Miss Anambra Beauty Pageant, has been drawn to a video with lurid contents purportedly showing former Miss Anambra, Miss Chidinma Okeke (Miss Anambra 2015).

“The said Miss Chidinma Okeke, who is allegedly linked to the lurid content in circulation, has served out her term as Miss Anambra 2015 and handed over the crown in line with the terms and conditions of The Miss Anambra pageant.

“We condemn in clear terms any amoral behaviour/conduct as suggested by the alleged lurid content in circulation and do not condone such.

“It is on record that The Miss Anambra Beauty Pageant has been a platform to empower Anambra women and celebrate our rich culture and heritage. Winners of the pageant are bound to contracts to be of good conduct and moral behaviour and to uphold/maintain the honour in their position as queen.

“Winners of the pageant also contract to refrain from any personal relationship that could appear to hinder their ability to perform the duties of their office as queen and role model, and we do not expect any less.

“We, therefore, wish to dissociate The Miss Anambra pageant from any discussions on the said allegations.

“We feel sufficiently perturbed by the mere reference already made to the pageant and hereby state that we are in no way connected to the controversy.

“We apologise to the government and good people of Anambra State, our sponsors, supporters, friends and all those associated with the Miss Anambra project for the embarrassment the mere reference to the pageant in the controversy may have caused whilst reassuring of the good intentions of the Miss Anambra pageant franchise.”

Video Of Police Killing 6 Year Old Autistic Boy Released

A court in the US state of Louisiana has released a video showing law enforcement officers fatally shooting a 6-year-old autistic boy last November.

The tape shows two deputy city marshals opening fire on a car, killing the boy and critically wounding his father in the city of Marksville.

Jeremy Mardis, who had autism, died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. His father, Chris Few, survived.

Prosecutors showed the tape in court to support their claim that one of the deputies had a pattern of using excessive force.

Police say the officer’s chased the boy’s father after he drove off from an argument with his girlfriend.

Defense attorneys argued the deputies acted in self-defense and claim the boy’s father rammed into a deputy’s vehicle before they fired.

However, the judge said the footage doesn’t show the boy’s father using his car as a deadly weapon at the time of the shooting.

The release of the video came days after several African American men were killed by police in the states of California, Oklahoma and North Carolina.

Are You Above 25 & Under Pressure To Marry? This Video Is A Must Watch

In China, the term “sheng nu” — which translates to “leftover woman” — is offhandedly used to describe single women, many barely over the age of 25. Even in 2016, the single adult lifestyle is seen as embarrassing for these women’s families, which explains the popularity of “marriage markets,” matchmaking hubs wherein parents seek suitable partners for their shamefully single daughters. In this video from Chinese skin care brand SK-II, some of these so-called “leftovers” attempt to stand up against the pressure to settle . . . for a partner, lifestyle, or societal expectation that doesn’t suit them.

‘Zookeeper’ In The Viral Leopard Attack Video Says The Leopard Was Playing, Not Trying To Attack Him

Eduardo Serio, a ‘zookeeper’ at the Black Jaguar White Tiger Sanctuary in Mexico City was supposedly saved from a potential leopard attack by a tiger. A video of the dramatic incident shows Serio playing with a group of six lions around him oblivious to the danger behind as Dharma the leopard tries to sneak up on him. Aztlan the tiger sees the danger however and stops Dharma in its stride. But Eduardo, who rescues & trains the animals, says he was never in any danger
Here’s the thing. Eduardo doesn’t regard the sanctuary as a Zoo and says he’s more of a father to the wild animals. The sanctuary/foundation is a non profit organization whose aim is to rescue animals in need from circuses, breeding facilities, from private owners and providing the a safe home with good medical care. He shared a statement via his IG page and it read,

“There is an old video that is going viral all over the world where my boy Dharma is stalking me like he always does and Aztlan intercepted him. Again, we are all over the Planet. Great exposure. The only problem is that they called me a zoo keeper. I’m a father, but well. I rescued Dharma from a private owner that was feeding him Cow and condensed milk, so he was dying and had no hair when he arrived. I cured him. I taught him to respect his family members, including our Dog Chiquitin. I taught him to climb Trees since he was afraid of doing it. I Love my boy with the same intensity that he Loves me back. Super proud of him being a beautiful, healthy and Lovely 3 year old Leopard.”

New Chibok Girls Video ‘Concocted’ Propaganda Tool- Military

The Nigerian military has branded the latest video by Boko Haram terrorists allegedly showing healthy-looking Chibok girls as propaganda by the terrorists to divert attention from the ongoing rescue operations.

The Director of Defence Information (DDI), Brig-Gen. Rabe Abubakar (rtd), while responding to injuries on Thursday, said that the military cannot authenticate the new video.

Abubakar said that it is the terrorists antics, which he vowed, will not derail the ongoing military operations and efforts to clear all parts of the North East of Boko Haram remnants.

He said: “In as much as we saw the menus, we cannot authentic the video. Listen, all these things are campaign. In as much as we saw the so called video, it has nothing to do with our own activities, even though we are sympathetic to the plight of our sisters and brothers with the ungodly group.

“In as much as we have seen the video, it has not nothing to do with our operations. In this era of social media, anytime can happen. It can be concocted because in this era of social mega, anytime can happen, so people should not carried away.”

Chibok Girls In ‘Proof Of Life’ Video

An indication that the Chibok girls kidnapped from their school on April 14, 2014 were  still alive has been given in a video which showed 15 of the more than 200 girls abducted by Boko Haram.

The video sent to government negotiators by the captors showed the girls wearing black hijabs in an unspecified location, stating their names, that they were taken from Chibok and the date of the recording.

The video, the first concrete indication that at least some of the girls were still alive since a previous video released publicly by Boko Haram in May 2014, was coming two years after the girls were kidnapped.

They were identified by two mothers of the 219 schoolgirls still missing.  Another mother shown the video broke into tears because her daughter was not among the fifteen girls in the video.

All three, however, identified all the girls, as did a classmate, who was at home on the day of the kidnapping.

In the video, each of the fifteen girls calmly stated her name and that she was kidnapped from Chibok Government Secondary School.

At the end of the clip, a girl identified as Naomi Zakaria, made an apparently scripted appeal to whoever is watching, urging the Nigerian authorities to help reunite the girls with their families.

“I am speaking on 25 December 2015, on behalf of the all the Chibok girls and we are all well,” Naomi said. Though it is unclear if the video was recorded on the stated date, but the date embedded in the video matched the date stated by Naomi, a CNN report said.

Though it was unclear if the video was recorded on the stated date, but the date embedded in the video matched the date stated by Naomi, a CNN report said.

However, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, told CNN the girls in the video appeared “under no stress whatsoever” and there had been “little transformation in their physical appearance”.

But he declined to comment directly on the state of talks with Boko Haram, which has previously said it would release the girls only in exchange for captured fighters in Nigerian prisons.

Tyga Posts Video Of Son Next To Pile Of Weed?

Tyga posted an adorable video of his son King Cairo playing in his living room … problem is, there is a pile of what looks like marijuana right smack in front of the boy.

The 3-year-old is within arms reach of the green pile, which sits on a coffee table next to a package of Swisher Sweets cigars people typically use to roll blunts.

Tyga and baby mama Blac Chyna have been in an on-again-off-again custody war over the boy, and this can’t help Tyga’s cause.

TMZ reached out to Tyga’s lawyer for comment and got no response … but after we placed the call Tyga removed the video from his Snapchat.

ISIS Releases Gruesome Video Showing What They Do Best, New Execution Style

ISIS terrorist group has released a new gruesome video showing the execution of ten Afghan tribesmen, allegedly for cooperating with the Taliban militant group and Pakistan’s intelligence agency.

The footage, claimed to be filmed in the eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar, was released on Monday by the terror group’s members in a region, which the ISIS calls Wilayat Khorasan, comprised of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and nearby areas.

The tribesmen were accused of cooperating with the Taliban and Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency, and giving them information about ISIS members.

The video shows the notorious terrorists using a new way to kill their victims by digging holes in the ground and planting explosive materials in them. The victims are then forced to sit on the holes before the materials are detonated using a remote control.

Syrian Rebel Group Executes 18 ISIS Fighters In New Video

A Syrian rebel group operating around Damascus has executed 18 alleged members of the Islamic State group in a video mimicking the extremist organisation’s own productions.

The video, which emerged overnight, shows fighters from Jaysh al-Islam (Army of Islam) wearing the orange prison clothes that ISIS victims often sport.

The ISIS prisoners however are wearing black clothes and chained together wearing ankle and hand shackles with metal balls attached.

The nearly 20-minute production mimics many aspects of IS’s own execution videos, with similar sound effects and visuals.

Jaysh al-Islam fighters in the video say the IS forces are being executed in part as revenge for the deaths of at least three of the rebel group’s members who were beheaded by ISIS.

I Followed God’s Instruction, Shekau Claims Baga Massacre

Boko Haram has claimed a massive attack feared to be the worst in its six-year insurgency and threatened Nigeria’s neighbours, as talks began for a regional response to the militants and fears grew of further violence.

The confirmation from Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau came as no surprise after multiple eye-witness accounts of the attack on Baga, which is thought to have killed hundreds, if not more.

But Shekau claimed that the January 3 attack, in which large parts of Baga were burnt to the ground and at least 16 surrounding settlements were razed, was only a prelude to further attacks.

“We killed the people of Baga. We indeed killed them, as our Lord instructed us in His Book,” Shekau said in the 35-minute message, which was posted on YouTube. He added: “We will not stop. This is not much. You’ll see.”

See Viral Video of Indian Girls Fighting Harassers

A video showing two sisters in northern India hitting back at men who allegedly harassed them on a crowded bus has drawn huge attention in a country where hundreds of thousands of women silently endure sexual harassment daily. The women, identified only by their first names, Arati and Pooja, said they lashed out at the men after enduring lewd comments and pawing from them.

“One of the boys started touching my sister and making kissing gestures,” Arati told reporters. “I told him to go away or I would teach him a lesson. Then he called another boy saying that we have to beat up two girls. And then the other boy got on the bus.”

The sisters said that no one on the bus tried to help them. Instead, other passengers told them to not provoke the men, because they might later attack them or throw acid on them.

Boko Haram’s New Propaganda Video Style

Boko Haram’s latest video aimed at showing an unidentified community happy to be under their control is a departure for a group whose trademark has been brutal hit-and-run attacks against defenceless civilians.

Residents in the affected areas have told AFP that people are desperately seeking the chance to flee, sometimes under the cover of darkness, after watching their neighbours suffer brutal corporal punishments administered by the new rebel leadership.

There are, however, indications that Boko Haram is trying to persuade people that they will be safe under its so-called caliphate, provided everyone adheres to the group’s medieval interpretation of Islamic law.

Boko Haram “appears to be moving in the direction of providing services, especially security for the residents in the territories it controls,” John Campbell, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, wrote on the think-tank’s blog.

“They have stepped in as an alternative government following the withdrawal of government institutions from the areas now under their control,” added security analyst Abdullahi Bawa Wase. Parts of the latest video obtained last weekend were almost certainly orchestrated for propaganda purposes.

Locals were shown cheering gunmen riding down a road on a tank, in some cases with onlooking children celebrating, arms raised in the air. Several people were interviewed, including an unidentified older man, who said: “As a Muslim man, I am literally happy with Islamic caliphate. We have not faced any humiliation.” There was no way to tell whether the words were spoken under duress.

The video clearly had a different objective from previous messages, with Boko Haram trying to present itself as a benevolent ruling authority and its leader Abubakar Shekau as a spiritual leader, said Ryan Cummings, of security analysts Red24.

“Much of Shekau’s previous videos have been filled with anti-Nigerian, anti-Western vitriol, which was seemingly delivered by a madman,” he said.

The latest message, however, portrayed him as “a composed theologian, providing spiritual guidance to a captured congregation”, he added, referring to scenes apparently showing a large crowd listening to Shekau’s preachings through a speaker.

“Staged or not, it may go a long way in nullifying government claims that Boko Haram is merely a bunch of criminal bandits with no agenda other than senseless violence,” he added.

Parents of American held by I. S. Release Letter & Photos

The parents of an U.S. aid worker held hostage by Islamic State militants on Sunday released photographs of their son and parts of a letter he wrote them from captivity in which he says he is scared to die but at peace with his belief.

Peter Kassig, 26, was taken captive a year ago while doing humanitarian work in Syria, his family has said. He was threatened in an Islamic State video issued on Friday that showed the beheading of a British aid worker.

Ed and Paula Kassig of Indianapolis, Indiana, appealed for his release on Saturday in a video message.

On Sunday, they called for people to use the name he has taken since converting to Islam, Abdul-Rahman Kassig.

They also released photos of him working as a medic in Syria in 2013, fishing with his father on the Ohio River in southern Indiana in 2011, and – much younger – standing in his mother’s arms by a waterfall during a family camping trip in 2000.

Kassig’s parents said they were overwhelmed by the response from those who thought their boy was a hero for the humanitarian work he had been doing.

“We have also received many questions about our son’s conversion to Islam,” they said, adding that friends said his journey toward Islam began before he was taken captive, and that he voluntarily converted between October and December 2013.

Quoting from a letter he wrote them in June, they said he prays five times every day and takes the religion’s practices seriously, including adopting the name Abdul-Rahman. “We see this as part of our son’s long spiritual journey,” they said.

In the parts of the letter they released, Kassig thanked his parents and said it could not have been easy raising him.

“I am obviously pretty scared to die but the hardest part is not knowing, wondering, hoping, and wondering if I should even hope at all,” he wrote.

The letter added that he was in a “dogmatically complicated situation here, but I am at peace with my belief.”Kassig had been doing humanitarian work through Special Emergency Response and Assistance, an organization he founded in 2012 to treat refugees from Syria, his parents have said.

They have also said their son served in the U.S. Army during the Iraq war before being medically discharged. Pentagon records show he spent a year in the army as a Ranger and was deployed to Iraq from April to July 2007.

After leaving the army, Kassig became an emergency medical technician and traveled to Lebanon in May 2012, volunteering in hospitals and treating Palestinian refugees and those fleeing Syria’s civil war.
