A 62-year-old grandmother is facing serious charges after she allegedly smuggled drugs in her vagina into a Canadian prison where her son was doing time.
Linda Ethal Sheridan came to the Edmonton Institution with her 10-year-old granddaughter on July 22, 2013 to visit her son, who is serving time for home invasion. During a routine search, a drug-sniffing dog detected drugs on her.
She allegedly had three bags of drugs including heroin, meth, and marijuana hidden in her genitals and breasts. She seemed embarrassed that this happened,” said correctional officer Brandy Swenson. “She really wanted to remove the stuff from her body cavity.”
Officials estimated the value of the drugs to be more than $12,000. Her son told a court he did not ask her for the drugs.
The Huffington Post reports Sheridan said she only did it because she felt threatened by an anonymous caller who said he would kill her son if she didn’t bring the drugs.
“I wish I hadn’t been talked into this,” Sherida reportedly told police at the time she was arrested. “It was a stupid move and I should’ve known better.”

British Blogger Zoe Stavri whipped the Internet up into a frothy bread mix frenzy earlier this week, after writing about a sourdough loaf she’d begun to make from scratch, leavened with yeast from a vaginal infection. She sourced the yeast with the help of a dildo.
Her first tweets on the subject chronicled her yeast making her dough rise — “IT’S ALIVE”! she wrote, in an acceptable use of all caps — and a blog post also documented the criticism she’d received on social media in response. Noting much of the hate came from apparently grossed-out men, Stavri argues that “the vast majority of the utter horror about my sourdough isn’t anything to do with ignorance on food hygiene, but more to do with a general mistrust and horror at vag.”

Feminist blogger Zoe Stavri, who writes at Another Angry Woman, woke up on Saturday with the typical signs of a yeast infection, she wrote in a blog post.
But due to her self-described “slightly perverse sense of humor,” she decided to try baking bread with her yeast. So she retrieved some yeast using a dildo, combined it with flour and water, and covered it up so the yeast could do its job. She started making the sourdough starter on Saturday afternoon, and so far, so good… see result above.
1. ?It cleans itself. ?That’s what vaginal discharge is for, after all. Having a clear or white-ish discharge is perfectly healthy, and it flushes out bacteria and old cells to prevent any unwanted pathogens from entering the uterus. So there’s no need for you to come at your vagina with scented soaps—only baby shampoo, please—as you don’t want to upset its pH balance. And for the love of all things healthy, don’t douche. You’ll only regret it.
4. It can get stronger. ?No, you don’t have to do more Kegels (you already know they can give you a better orgasm). This is about your pelvic floor—about 1 in 3 women experience some form of pelvic floor muscle dysfunction (PFMD), and those who do deal with bladder control issues, urine leakage, and pain. And it’s not just a problem for older women or those who’ve had children—Leslie Rickey, M.D., fellowship director of female pelvic medicine at Yale University, says she sees it in patients across every age, including young women in their early 20s who haven’t had kids yet.
Otherwise, she suggests cutting down on caffeine, not over-saturating your body with too much water (the Institute of Medicine recommends women drink nine cups per day), and even training your bladder to wait longer between bathroom breaks. And no, it won’t cause an infection if you wait about three hours—the average amount of time Dr. Rickey says you should be able to wait when drinking the recommended amount of water—between visits, she says.
5. ?It can talk to you. ?From whether you’re in baby-making mode or about to get your period, to if there’s a serious health risk like cancer potentially going on, your vagina has a lot of important things it’s ready to tell you. You just have to listen. If you notice something different-than-usual is going on, it’s usually best to head to the doc to get it checked out.
?6. It could save lives. ?There’s currently a clinical trial testing the safety of endometrial regenerative cells (ERC), or “stem cells,” to treat congestive heart failure patients. These stem cells are extracted from menstrual blood and grown to generate different types of cells in the body. In this case, the stem cells are made into muscle cells of the heart. Right now it’s just an experimental foreign study, and not something that is being done with any regularity, but you never know—someday it could help patients suffering from heart failure.
7. It protects itself. ?In case you were wondering, “the vagina isn’t endless,” says Dr. Rickey. So there’s no chance something—a tampon, condom, menstrual cup, whatever—is going to get lost. “The vagina connects to the uterus, but the cervix acts like a barrier between the two. It would be very difficult for anything to get through the small opening that ?is ?there (that’s how sperm get through, FYI).”
8. ?It can trap a penis. ?Not kidding. It’s known as penis captivus—a fitting name, if you ask us, as it literally holds a penis captive when it occurs. Dr. Krychman notes that it’s an extremely rare phenomena, but it has been reported in several case studies. Basically, what happens is that during intercourse, “the pelvic muscles of the vagina clamp down on the penis much more firmly than usual, which can make it difficult or impossible to remove the penis from the vagina.” It might make an extremely awkward (not to mention difficult to navigate) trip to the doctor, but Dr. Krychman says if this happens to call 911 right away, stay calm, and lie very still until help arrives.
9. ?It can have four different kinds of orgasm. ?Guys can only have one. For us, orgasms can be divided into four categories: clitoral, vaginal, blended, and multiple. A breakdown, according to Dr. Krychman:
10. You can live with two of them. ?It’s rare, but it’s possible to be born with uterus didelphys—a condition that essentially causes the vagina to split into two separate cavities. Along with it comes two uteruses and two cervixes, but a “normal” amount of fallopian tubes and eggs. It also means having two periods every month if the egg in one uterus is released before an egg in the other. This is how one woman lives with the condition.
11. ?It can push out a baby. ?Enough said.

A 40-year-old Mpumalanga woman says she’ll never ever be able to have sex because her husband put super glue on her genitals, scarring her for life. The woman, who cannot be named to protect her dignity, lives in Ngwamtila village near Bushbuckridge.
Her husband, whose name is known to African Eye News Service, allegedly put the super glue on her vagina on 9 March 2013, after accusing her of cheating on him with her uncle.
“My husband was an abusive man for many years. His abuse spiralled out of control when my uncle dropped me off at our home. He then accused me of cheating on him with my uncle. It was shocking because he knew my uncle well and even greeted him nicely when he dropped me off,” says the woman.
She said after screaming at her he told her that he would teach her a lesson. “Every time the month of March comes along I remember the cruelty that he showed me. He took out a panga and ordered me to take off my clothes. As I started doing that he told me that if I didn’t do it he would chop off my head with the panga. He had previously tried to chop off my hand with the panga but I managed to escape. This time I could not escape.
“He then ordered me to lie down and open my legs. He then took out super glue and applied it on my vagina while I looked at him with horror and tears streaming down my face. I do not know what would make a man who loves a woman do that to her,” she said.
Asked if her husband was ever arrested for his cruel actions she said: “I wanted to press charges but he fled and has not been seen since the incident. I am scared that he might come back anytime and remove my head.”
The woman feels pain every time she urinates.
