Taylor Swift is the richest female musician. Swift amassed earnings of 170 million US dollars (£137.8m) over the past year.

Her earnings are mainly due to her 1989 World Tour raking in a quarter of a billion dollars. She also has lucrative endorsement deals with brands such as Diet Coke, Apple and more.

British singer Adele was second on the list, with 80.5 million US dollars (£65.2 million). Forbes estimated the pre-tax income of personalities from June 1 2015 through to June 1 2016 from a variety of sources, including data from Pollstar, Nielsen and the Recording Industry Association of America, as well as interviews with managers, lawyers and some of the stars themselves. Taylor Swift To Donate $1million To Louisiana Flood Relief After Historic Flooding

Due to torrential rains, Louisiana has suffered some of its worst flooding in years which has left 11 people dead and damaged 40000 homes. Taylor Swift has announced she will be donating $1million to help with disaster relief efforts….

‘We began The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home. The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking,’ the 26-year-old said in a statement.

‘I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time,’ Swift said.

It’s not the first time Taylor Swift has opened up her purse to those in dire need.
In 2014 she donated $50,000 to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to help fund therapy tools for children suffering from cancer.

In 2015 she gave $50,000 to a young fan battling leukemia as well as another $50,000 to her backup dancer’s baby nephew who is battling cancer.

Taylor Swift and her singer,producer boyfriend Calvin Harris are no longer together. E! News confirmed through various reliable sources that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris (whose real name is Adam Wiles) broke up after 15 months together. One source close to the former couple said:

“This all happened last week.” “Taylor and Adam had no big blowout fight, but the romance just was not there anymore for them. Adam is the one that ended it. It was all done in a very mature fashion. Taylor is pretty upset but they are still in communication. Taylor was there for Adam with his accident and supportive.”

The couple celebrated their one-year anniversary in March.

Taylor Swift took a swipe at Kanye West as she received her award for Album of the Year for the second time at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards for ‘1989’. This came after Kanye West, recently put Swift in his new song “Famous,” where he said, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.”
Taylor said:

“I want to thank fans for the last 10 years and the Recording Academy for giving us this unbelievable honor. I want to thank all of my collaborators that you season this stage, mostly I want to thank my co-executive producer Max Martin who has deserved to be up
here for 25 years,” she began. ….
“And as the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame. “But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday, when you get where you are going, you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. Singer, Katy Perry is the highest-earning non-boxer on Forbes 2015 Celebrity top 100 list, thanks mostly to her Prismatic World Tour. Perry grossed more than $2 million per city over the course of 126 shows 75 of them overseas while pulling in an astounding $20 per head in merchandise sales.
She also pads her coffers through deals with Coty, Claire’s and Covergirl, and from a new Perry-themed mobile game due out soon which combined to earn her $135 million this year, tens of millions of dollars ahead of the rest of the women on the list.

“I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company,” Perry told Forbes. “I’m an entrepreneur… I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls.”

Taylor Swift earned the No. 2 spot on the list, nabbing $80 million. Her own tour, the 1989 World Tour, helped her cinch the high ranking, but couldn’t measure up to her rumored rival Perry’s haul. Her album “1989” sold more than 3.6 million copies and was the top release of 2014.

“I feel like I wasn’t ready to be friends with [West] until I felt like he had some sort of respect for me, and he wasn’t ready to be friends with me until he had some sort of respect for me—so it was the same issue, and we both reached the same place at the same time,” Swift says. “I became friends with Jay Z, and I think it was important, for Jay Z, for Kanye and I to get along. …And then Kanye and I both reached a place where he would say really nice things about my music and what I’ve accomplished, and I could ask him how his kid’s doing.”

Grammy Winner Insures Legs For $40 Million.

Taylor Swift wants to make sure her legs are safe in case of an accident. So she has reportedly insured both of them for a whopping $40 million.

According to The National Enquirer, Taylor’s team has allegedly looked into insuring the songwriter’s legs just in case something bad happened during one of her routines.

It seems like a ludicrous sum, but if something was to happen to her legs, Swift wouldn’t be able to give her signature stage performances. Her $200 million career would be in big trouble,” a source told the gossip weekly.

Swift was reportedly also shocked by the amount her legs went for. She thought her legs might be worth only a million dollars.

The source revealed to the site, “But $40 million shocked her. She’s even a little embarrassed about it.”

Swift’s team is reportedly completing the insurance paperwork in preparation for her world tour, kicking off in May.

For those who have been living under a rock since 1989, there’s a supposed feud going on between pop star Taylor Swift and other pop star Katy Perry. This riff between the two started after Taylor told Rolling Stone that her song “Bad Blood” was about another pop star, and many assumed that person was Perry. Now,  in an exclusive interview The Telegraph, Swift addresses the controversy once and for all.

“I’m not giving them anything to write about,” Swift told The Telegraph. “I’m never going to talk about her in my interview. It’s not going to happen.”

And that’s that.

Last night at the Elle Style Awards she wore a fantastic green gown by Julien Macdonald and tonight she’s rocking custom made Roberto Cavalli.

What a dress! From the front it may not look that special but turn around and there’s drama to spare going on at the back. We are crushing hard on this dragon embellishment. It curves across her back and swirls at her waist ending at the floor sweeping train. Stunning!

She bragged about her album, 1989, which has sold the highest copies within the first week of release. She said the last time that happened was when she was twelve, that is 2002.
