Man buys three-year old boy for N500, kills him for ritual.

A mother of four children, Mrs Chinasa Okereke, has revealed how a 15-year-old boy collected N500 from an Alfa to abduct her three-year-old son for ritual at Ijegun, Lagos State.

Chinasa, who spoke with newsmen on Sunday, alleged that the teenager, who is also a neighbour stole her son, Chiagozie.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports the teenager identified as Simon had earlier confessed to the police that an unidentified Alfa, now in police custody, asked him to supply a three-year-old child.

When the three-year-old was finally located by detectives from Isheri Police Station, he was already dead.

Chinasa, who broke down in tears, said that she was not only grieving for her murdered son, but also scared about strange men on motorbikes coming to threaten her and her husband, Augustine Okereke.

The woman who lives in a multi-room building, has three other children, apart from Chiagozie. The eldest is 10years old, the second child is eight years old. Chiagozie was her third child. Her fourth child is just nine months old.

She explained that on a fateful day, she wanted to give three of her children a bath outside the house when the three-year-old child was abducted.

According to her account, she had briefly stepped into the house to get a wrapper to strap the nine-month-old to her back. But when she returned Chiagozie was nowhere to be found.

When she asked her eight-year-old daughter the whereabouts of her little brother, the girl said that Simon, the 15-year-old living in the building next door had taken him away.

“When my daughter told me that Simon took Chiagozie, I immediately rushed to his house, but his guardians said they had been looking for him too. When it was getting late, we went to the police station to report that Simon took our son and that we couldn’t find him.

“Police took over the case and soon located and arrested Simon. He was taken to the station. Singing like a bird, he revealed how the Alfa came to pick him and Chiagozie with a car.

“When detectives asked questions from residents of the community, they were told that they saw the Alfa driving off with Simon and Chiagozie.

“The suspect led police to the scene where the Alfa took him and Chiagozie. The corpse of Chiagozie was found laid out on the ground. A big stone was beside his head and a red cloth tied around his neck.

“Asked how Chiagozie was killed, Simon said that he saw when the Alfa lifted Chiagozie mid-air and made some incantations before dropping him to the ground,” the woman recalled in tears.

Reacting to the incident the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni, alleged that the Alfa used the deceased for a ritual.

“Parents should be proactive and know the kind of people they leave their kids with.

“Parents and guardians shouldn’t allow the economic situation in the country to affect their vigilance and care towards their kids,” Owoseni stated.

Nasarawa: Police arrest 4 over alleged ritual killing of boy.

The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested one Mr Emmanuel Ishaya of Ushata village in Nasarawa Local Government area for allegedly killing Isaac Joshua, his friend’s seven-year-old son, for ritual.

DSP Idrissu Kenedy, the Command’s Spokesman, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lafia.

Kenedy said that the suspect was arrested following a report to the police by the father of the deceased, Joshua Ebini, on the disappearance of his son on Oct. 10.

He said that information from the suspect led to the arrest of three other suspects while a fourth accomplice to the alleged crime was still at large.

Kenedy said the suspects, during interrogation, confessed to the crime with each of them narrating his level of involvement.

According to the spokesman, the prime suspect, Ishaya, confessed to have lured the boy away from the father’s house on a motorbike to a forest and killed him with a stick.

Ishaya confessed that he removed the seven-year-old boy’s genital and right buttock as requested by his collaborators.

The spokesman said investigation revealed that the whole ideal was muted by Aderogba Tunde.

He said that Tunde made another suspect, Isah Ogah, to believe that his aged father in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, had the power to make money ritual provided they could provide some human parts.

“Isah claimed not to be interested in taking human life in order to make money, but contacted Yohanna Ibaku, who brought Emmanuel Ishaya, the prime suspect, into the deal,” Idrissu said.

He said the remains of the deceased were recovered from where they were dumped and buried by the family.

Man arrested for killing stepdaughter for rituals

A 63-year-old man, Korede Odubela, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing his 16-year-old stepdaughter, Amudat Oshimodi, for ritual purposes.

The suspect was said to have connived with another accomplice, Lekan Lawal, to commit the crime at Imosan village, in the Odogbolu Local Government Area of the state.

The two suspects were among the 12 suspects paraded at the command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, on Tuesday by the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, for various offences, including armed robbery, burglary and stealing.

Iliyasu said Odubela, who was the leader of the gang, connived with Lawal to strangle Oshimodi, after which they sold her head and hands to ritual killers.

The police commissioner said the men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad received information about their activities and swooped on them on Monday, November 7, 2016.

Odubela said he connived with Lawal to kill his stepdaughter because the 16-year-old girl was always stealing her mother’s money.

He said, “The mother said we should kill her as a sacrifice for other children she had. She (Oshimodi) normally slept by the outside door. On that day, around 12 midnight, I invited Lekan Lawal, and he held the girl by the neck and strangled her while I held her legs.”

Odubela said he sold Amudat’s head to his son, Seun, a herbalist who paid him N3,000, as part payment.

However, Odubela’s wife, Fausat, denied asking her husband to kill her daughter.

Iliyasu said the case was still under investigation, while the corpse of Amudat had been deposited at the morgue of the Ijebu Ode General Hospital.

The command also paraded suspected robbers –Tochukwu Njikonye, Abdulahi Abdulamid and Obinna Mbam – who were said to have been arrested on Monday, October 3, 2016, in the Ogbere area of the state. The police said they were arrested while robbing motorists of their valuables.

Iliyasu said the suspects were armed with two pump-action guns and one locally-made pistol, adding that they usually blocked the road with either truck or wood to “perpetrate their nefarious activity.”

Six other suspects were equally paraded for burglary and stealing. The suspects were said to have burgled the computer laboratory of the Egba-Obafemi Community Grammar School, in the Obafemi-Owode Local government Area and carted away 95 tablets (computers) and their chargers.

Iliyasu said the school principal, Mrs. Ajiboye Olaide, reported the matter at the Owode-Egba Police Station on Wedneday, November 9, 2016, and the Divisional Police Officer and his men swung into action.

He said two suspects were arrested in the bushes around the school, which led to the arrest of the gang leader, Oluwagbotemi Ojo.

Iliyasu said the alleged receiver of the stolen computers, Sunday Olufemi, was also arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State, while all the computers were recovered.

Ojo, however, said the school’s security guard, Saheed Adamu, gave him information on how to burgle the computer laboratory.

The CP also disclosed that his men received information that some armed robbers used a house in Egbe village in Ijebu Ode as their hideout, adding that one Gbenga Olowolafe was arrested with one pump-action gun and one double-barrelled gun.

The suspect, however, said he was the coordinator of the Oo’dua Peoples Congress in the Egbe area.

Ritual Killers Behead Daughter Of Gov Al-Makura’s Aide

Some suspected ritual killers have beheaded 20-year-old Memuna Galadima, the daughter of Mustapha Galadima, the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to Governor Umaru Al-Makura.

Mustapha, who confirmed her daughter’s murder to Punch Metro, said Memuna, before her untimely death, was in the Department of Entrepreneur, Faculty of Administration at the Pianku campus of the Nasarawa State University, where she was studying for a National Diploma.

Galadima said,

“It was on Thursday, February 26, 2015. My daughter left home for school to sit for a test at the Pianku campus along Nasarawa Road along with three of her friends.”

The Special Adviser said the test was for 10am and he expected his daughter home a few hours later.

He added that he became worried when Memuna did not come home on the day. He said he never saw his daughter alive again until her decomposing body was found along Agwan Ozoro, in the Karshi development area of Nasarawa State. He said,

“Upon hearing the news, I mobilised people to go there and check if it were her remains that were found. On reaching there, the search team told me that the body had decomposed beyond recognition.

“They added that the body was found inside a deep well, saying several attempts made to remove the corpse from the well were unsuccessful.
“It was when the police brought her picture that we were able to identify her through her legs and there was nothing we could do but to bury her there according to Muslim injunctions.

“She had been in Keffi for the past three years with her mother, who is also an undergraduate at the department of accountancy of the same institution.”

Investigation by PUNCH Metro showed that Memuna was found without a head as it was suspected that her assailants might have decapitated her before throwing her remains inside the well.It was also said the people responsible were ritual killers.

Some passersby, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they sighted the victim on a motorcycle at about 12pm.

Mustapha, who described his daughter as peace loving and humble, said he never saw her keeping any bad company.

“Those that did this dastardly act will not go scot-free.
“Her death is still a mystery to us, but, however, as a Muslim, we have consolation in God.”

The mother of the deceased, Hajiya Hassana Galadima, said her daughter left home for her lecture with her friend, Aisha. She said,

“The duo usually went to school together and used to return home at about 5pm every day. I even have a photocopy of her timetable in order to monitor her movement.”

It will be recalled that some unidentified gunmen, also suspected to be ritual killers, recently beheaded Mrs. Amina Suleiman, the daughter of Director General of Governor Umaru Tanko Al – Makura’s Campaign Organisation, Mr. Musa Illu.
