Michelle Obama Finally Reveals How She Reacted The Night Trump Was Elected

As many Americans waited into the wee hours of election night to find out who would be voted the nation’s next president, First Lady Michelle Obama says she was not among them.

Instead, she was fast asleep in her White House bed.

In a joint interview with President Barack Obama for this week’s PEOPLE cover story, the first lady breaks her silence on President-elect Donald Trump‘s stunning victory, and reveals why she didn’t stay up to see the results.

“I went to bed. I don’t like to watch the political discourse; I never have,” Obama tells PEOPLE, adding of her husband, “I barely did with him.”

The first lady was one of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton‘s most powerful surrogates on the campaign trail, where she delivered passionate speeches about the dangers of electing Trump, being careful all the while to avoid mentioning him by name.

Her now-famous mantra, “When they go low, we go high,” delivered at the Democratic National Convention in July, moved audiences and became an unofficial slogan for Clinton’s campaign.

“Anything that I felt about the election I said and I stand by,” the first lady says now, adding of her early election night, “Once you do what you can do, then the rest is easy. It was in the hands of the American people.”

Though the first lady stands by her campaign-trail criticisms of Trump, she, like her husband, is prepared to help the president-elect as he transitions to the White House.

“This is our democracy, and this is how it works,” she says. “We are ready to work with the next administration and make sure they are as successful as they can be. Because that’s what’s best for this country.”

Kanye West Having Marriage Troubles, Source Reveals

Kanye West is reportedly living apart from his wife Kim Kardashian and their two children after being released from the hospital, an anonymous source told Us Weekly. He’s supposedly staying at a rental house as he receives outpatient treatment, the insider added.

On Wednesday, West was released from UCLA Medical Center after being admitted for sleep deprivation and exhaustion. He had returned home to Kardashian and their two kids, North and Saint, upon his release — the family even celebrated his homecoming and Saint’s first birthday with a “low-key” party.

Though West is living apart from his family for medical reasons, there is speculation that he and Kim are having marriage troubles stemming from Kardashian’s traumatic Paris robbery, which some cite as a reason for Kanye’s “erratic behaviour.”

“Kanye’s behaviour took a huge toll on their marriage,” a source told Us. “But Kim feels relieved he is getting the help he needs. She thinks this is what it will take to save him — and help their marriage.”

Ribadu Reveals Names Of Nigerians Who ‘Frustrated’ Fight Against Corruption

Years after leaving office as the pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu has named some Nigerians he said tried their best to frustrate the nation’s fight against corruption.

Mr. Ribadu spoke on Thursday when he presented the lead paper at the 2016 Annual Lecture organised by the Law Chambers of Joe Kyari Gadzama in Abuja.

Speaking under the theme “Corruption and the Nigerian Economy: Lawyers as Change Agents”, Mr. Ribadu named foremost lawyer, Ben Nwabueze, former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Michael Aondoakaa, and his successor at the EFCC, Farida Waziri, as people who undermined the country’s efforts to fight against the cancer of corruption.

“I still recall with amazement and shock how some very senior lawyers made it a duty upon themselves to bring down the EFCC and stop the work we were doing. Many of them, like Prof. Ben Nwabueze, SAN, teamed up with politicians to wage a very serious propaganda to discredit the work we were doing,” he said.

He also said Mr. Nwabueze personally went to court on many occasions to challenge the powers of the EFCC to fight corruption.

“One thing that also did a serious damage to the war against corruption was the active connivance of some senior lawyers who represented the governors we charged to courts after the 2007 election,” he said.

“It is on record that we charged the former governors of Jigawa, Taraba, Adamawa, Plateau, Enugu, Ekiti, Delta, Abia and Edo states as the first set of ex-governors to face prosecution. However, almost 10 years after most of the cases have not gone anywhere because of deliberate action by lawyers to frustrate the trials,” he said.

Mr. Ribadu, a lawyer and former police officer, also said he was shocked that some lawyers who found themselves in government also worked against the fight against corruption.

Muslim Pilgrims Board Ex-official Reveals How They Diverted N94m

Immediate past Executive Secretary, Plateau Muslim Pilgrims Board, Alhaji Salisu Mohammed, has admitted to diverting N94m from funds paid by intending pilgrims.

Mohammed made the confession on Tuesday in Jos, while testifying before a Judicial Commission of Inquiry setup by the Plateau government to probe activities of former Governor Jonah Jang’s administration.

He told the commission that the money was diverted into sponsoring himself and some politicians on pilgrimage.

He said, “The funds were diverted from no fewer than 131 intending pilgrims, who paid for slots to travel to Saudi Arabia for the 2013 Hajj.”

“They were disqualified from participating in the pilgrimage because I was instructed, verbally, by the then Secretary to State Government, Prof. Shedrach Best, to do so and use the money to sponsor some political VIPs.

“The VIPs and I sponsored ourselves, with the fund collected from the pilgrims, to attend the World Islamic Conference in the United Kingdom and to the Hajj itself.”

Mohammed, however, revealed that the payees had neither gone on the pilgrimage nor had their monies refunded to them.

He said that he wrote to Jang asking for the remittance of the money and got an approval but that the money was not released untill after Jang left office in 2015.

The chairman of the commission, Justice Stephen Adah, who was visibly miffed, expressed bitterness over the development and wondered why the former official got involved in such an “unholy” action.

He frowned at the act of depriving persons from performing spiritual rites for some selfish reasons, “after they had paid the fees”.

Adah promised that the commission would look into the matter and force those responsible to refund the monies to the owners.

Donald Trump Reveals What He Plans To Do 100 Days In Office (WATCH VIDEO)

Nearly two weeks after winning the 2016 presidential election, Donald Trump has yet to hold a single news conference — an unprecedented move for the president-elect and a sign his administration will likely be one of the least accessible to the press (and therefore the public) in recent history.

Dodging reporters altogether, the president-elect instead opted to release a “video message” on Monday via the Transition 2017 social media channels, explaining his plans for his first 100 days in office and giving a brief, non-update about how the transition is going.

As with his campaign, in the video, Trump claims his overarching goal is to put “America first.” This allegedly entails withdrawing the U.S. from the Trans-Pacific Partnership on his first day in office; removing restrictions on energy production; reducing the number of regulations (his idea: with everyone new one, remove two old ones); developing a plan to protect America’s infrastructure from cyber-attacks; investigating “abuses” of all visa programs; and imposing a five-year ban on lobbying.

“These are just a few of the steps we will take to reform Washington and rebuild our middle class,” he said. “I will provide more updates in the coming days, as we work together to make America great again for everyone, and I mean everyone.”

President Buhari Reveals What Recovered Loots Will Be Used For

As Nigeria continues to battle economic recession, the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government has proposed to fund part of the 2017 budget deficit of N2.69 trillion from monies recovered from looters.
According to reports, FG in a Medium Term Expenditure Framework/Fiscal Strategy Paper submitted to the National Assembly is proposing to spend the sum of N6.86tn in 2017, with total revenue of N4.16tn.
With a funding gap of N2.69tn, the government said part of the deficit would be financed with recoveries from looted funds, the rest would be from borrowings.
“Based on the revenue and expenditure estimates, the fiscal deficit is estimated to increase by about N492bn or 22.32 per cent from the estimate of N2.2tn in 2016.
“However, while this remains below the maximum three per cent of the Gross Domestic Product stipulated in the Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2007, it is projected to take a downward turn afterwards.
“The deficit is to be financed mainly by borrowing as well as recoveries of misappropriated public funds/assets.”
“Borrowing will be geared towards funding critical capital projects that have potential to effectively increase productivity, and hence, provide mechanism for refinancing the debt,” the document read in part.

Kerry Washington Reveals Her Best Beauty Secrets

What’s your everyday makeup look?

When I’m not working, I let my skin breathe, so I just do concealer, mascara, and a sheer lip color. Occasionally I’ll mix a drop of foundation into my moisturizer. I’m a consultant for Neutrogena, and I worked with them to add more shades to their Healthy Skin foundation. I tested them on set and on the red carpet — it was a real process to come up with the formulas, so I’m very proud to wear them!

What’s your best beauty skill?

I know my own lips better than anyone — at least anyone who’s putting makeup on me. I might not know them better than my husband! I line my lips with a pencil that matches my lipstick, then I slick on the color and it doesn’t bleed.

You stopped chemically straightening your hair years ago. What made you decide to do that?

I’d been relaxing my hair since I was a little girl, so part of it was just wanting to see what would happen if I didn’t. Quitting has been such a time-saver, and my hair feels much healthier now. It’s been fun getting to know my real curls.

You have incredible skin. What’s your regimen?

I’m a firm believer in double cleansing: I use a facial wipe to take off my makeup, then I wash my skin. Right now I’m pregnant, so I’ve stopped using retinol and cut back on products with salicylic acid, since that’s what doctors advise. I’m so relieved that hyaluronic acid is safe during pregnancy — I can’t live without Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel.

You collaborated with OPI on their fall nail colors, all of which have Washington, D.C.-inspired names. Did you help create those as well?

I did, which is every girl’s dream! The one we’re most excited about is We the Female. When I spoke at the Democratic National Convention four years ago, I talked about how the words “We the people” didn’t include a lot of individuals in this country — women, people of color — when they were first written. We’ve all fought to be a part of that phrase, so having a polish called “We the Female” felt perfect to empower women. Plus, it looks great on every skin tone.

What do you hope to teach your 2-year-old daughter, Isabelle, about beauty as she grows up?

I want to set the example for Isabelle that my mom set for me. I never felt as though she put on makeup to fix a sense of insecurity or impress others; she did it just to feel good. I want my daughter to know that she deserves to feel pretty but then let her decide what that means for her. It’s important to have the courage to be the best version of yourself and not try to look like anyone else.

Toke Makinwa Reveals Project Behind Her “On Becoming” Visual

Marking her birthday few weeks ago, Media personality, Toke Makinwa, released a snippet titled ‘On Becoming’. The visuals gave a little insight about her life and struggles, aside issues that made her a topic of discussion in the public eye.

Today, Toke unveils a book cover carrying the “On becoming” title, indicating that she’ll be releasing an entire book soon. She said God told her she was going to write a book and even thought she avoided it, she eventually did it.

See her caption on Ig below:

Today is the most exciting day of my life. Today I Become ??… I hereby introduce you to #OnBecoming. At the beginning of last year (2015) when the lord told me I was going to write a book I was confused. Is it God’s voice, is it mine???? How will this work? I never planned to write a book, what I’m I supposed to write. I did what I had become used to, I ran. Just Like Jonah; I ran. I pushed it deep down and completely let it go. And then it began, God started sending people to me. Every time someone told me they thought I should write a book, I remembered my conversation with God in January but I was still unsure. (Fear maybe), I felt the idea was great but deep down I was not fully convinced. Then came June and my world fell apart. My world was crushed completely and in all of the pain I heard it again. This time, I knew what happened to me happened for a reason. I am a city set on a hill. My life will reflect God’s glory. I have been giving a platform to share and God was going to use my pain. In the pain there was a message and On Becoming was conceived.
On Becoming is My journey through pain to victory. I have Become and it is my prayer that God does what he planned from the start with this project. I can’t wait to put “author” in my bio. I wrote a book ya’ll. I did it ?????

Trump Edges Ahead Of Clinton, Poll Reveals

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has edged ahead of Democratic rival Hillary Clinton by a point for the first time since May, an ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll out Tuesday has found.

The poll also registered a seven point decline for Clinton in the share of likely voters who are strongly enthusiastic about her, a possible reflection of the renewed controversy over her use of a private server while secretary of state, pollster Gary Langer said.

Trump’s 46-45 percent lead in the four-way race for the White House, while well within the margin of error, is the first time he has polled ahead of Clinton in the survey since May.

The new poll was taken from October 27-30, a period that includes FBI director James Comey’s October 28 announcement that his agents had found a new trove of email that may be pertinent to an earlier probe into Clinton’s handling of classified information.

The results flip 46-45 in the Democrat’s favor when combining the last seven days, Langer said.

“Either way the results are exceedingly close,” he said.

IBB Reveals His Toughest Duty In The Military

Former Nigeria military head of state, Ibrahim Babangida, has said that his toughest duty in the army was trekking from Enugu to Umuahia where he sustained injury during the Nigeria civil war.

Mr. Babangida said this when he spoke to journalists to mark his 75th birthday in Minna on Wednesday.

“Movement from Enugu to Umuahia was very tough and challenging because you need to be physically fit to be able to undertake that kind of journey on foot.

“We had to go through the jungles and the hills. I think it was my toughest encounter in the army because that was where I got wounded in April 1969,” he said.

Mr. Babangida said he joined the army to protect the country.

According to him, being in the military means that you must subject yourself to a constituted authority to execute all the tasks assigned to you by the government.

He said the constitutional role and international treaties made it possible for military personnel to serve anywhere in the world.

Mr. Babangida said the military job was more challenging than being the president of a country.

He said an army officer would lead men to danger because your life and their lives depend on you as the commander.

“If they have faith in you they follow you. If you have faith in them you go along with them.

“So, it is more challenging than being a president,” he said.

Mr. Babangida said a head of state will seek people’s advice, interact and discourse with them to get solution based on the prevailing circumstances.

“Being a military officer you are the only one leading your troops hoping on you. If you lead them wrongly you will kill many of them.

“So, I consider the military more challenging than the political job,” he said.

What We Discussed With Buhari, Jonathan Reveals

Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday said he was against the disintegration of Nigeria, saying he was working with other leaders to find solutions to the renewed crisis in the Niger Delta.

Mr. Jonathan spoke to journalists at the presidential villa after a private meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

The former president, who met with Mr. President Buhari for about 15 minutes, said he was at the villa to report his international engagements to the incumbent president.

“One key thing is that having been a head of a government, a former president you become a state property, that’s the privilege you have. But every privilege has its corresponding responsibility, and once you become a state property, most of your international engagement, that has to do with public addresses and some international assignment becomes a national assignment, you brief the president. Even when I was here the former presidents used to do that and see me. I have been coming but most times I come in the night that’s why you don’t see me.

“I came to brief the president about some of my engagements. As you are aware I will be leading the AU elections monitoring team to Zambia, I came to brief the president about some of this external engagement. It is the tradition,” he said.

Mr. Jonathan said he was staunchly opposed to the secession of any part from the country.

He said Nigeria was only termed “great” because of its size and diversity and not necessarily because of its oil.

“It’s not just about me but about all the traditional rulers, elders and opinion leaders that are of the Ijaw ethnic nationality; we have been in touch to see that peace reigns in the country,” Mr. Jonathan said. “Those of you that have followed my talks when I was here, my emphasis is that we need a united Nigeria and I always emphasize that Nigeria is great not just about the oil – so many countries produce more oil than Nigeria nobody notices them.

“We are great because of our size, the human resources we have, the diversity we have, if we fragmentise the country into small components we will be forgotten by the world.”

A group known as Adaka Boro Avengers had threatened to declare an independent Niger Delta Republic on Monday, but said it cancelled the plan following the intervention of Mr. Jonathan and other leaders in the area.

“That has been my focal position and without peace, there cannot be development anywhere in the world,” the former president said. “We are all working collectively to see that issues are resolved.”

On the ongoing anti-corruption campaign that has seen several of his former appointees arrested and prosecuted, Mr. Jonathan said he would speak when most of the court cases are resolved.

“I don’t want to talk about that one because there are too many cases that are in court, it will not be fair to make comments, I will talk at the appropriate time when most of these things are resolved,” he said.

Secret Papers Reveal Nigerian Oil Mogul’s Offshore Hideaways, Beyoncé Surfaces In Story

In September 2015, Beyoncé sat on a yacht drinking sparkling wine with her legs wrapped under a striped, earth-toned blanket as the Faraglioni rocks, near Capri on Italy’s west coast, passed by.

The singer and her husband, Jay Z, paid a reported $900,000 that week to sail the Mediterranean Sea on the Galactica Star, a 65-meter private cruiser with a helipad, 10 dining areas, Jacuzzi and sun deck.

Unknown to the celebrity couple, the yacht’s owner was soon to be a wanted man.

Held through a shell company created by the law firm at the heart of the Panama Papers scandal, Mossack Fonseca, the yacht is now caught up in a massive investigation in Nigeria. The government claims the yacht was bought with profits from crude oil sales that were diverted and never paid to authorities.

The Galactica Star’s owner is Kolawole Aluko, a petroleum and aviation mogul who is one of four defendants accused of helping to cheat Nigeria out of nearly $1.8 billion owed to the government on massive sales of oil. In a separate investigation, Nigerian authorities are also reportedly probing whether Mr. Aluko helped smuggle millions of dollars out of the country as kickbacks to Nigeria’s former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

Mr. Aluko is part of a constellation of Nigerian oil executives, state governors, cabinet ministers, military officials and tribal chiefs within the Panama Papers. Mossack Fonseca, a Panama-headquartered law firm with offices around the world, worked for three former Nigerian oil ministers who used companies to buy boats and homes in London, the records show.

The prevalence of Nigerians within the Panama Papers may be no coincidence. Nigeria loses more money from illicit activity, including graft and corporate tax abuse, than any other African nation, research by anti-corruption groups indicates. As much as 12 percent of Nigeria’s annual gross domestic product is lost to illicit financial flows, according to Oxfam.

“Our firm, like many firms, provides worldwide registered agent services for our professional clients (e.g., lawyers, banks, and trusts) who are intermediaries,” Mossack Fonseca told ICIJ. “As a registered agent we merely help incorporate companies, and before we agree to work with a client in any way, we conduct a thorough due-diligence process, one that in every case meets and quite often exceeds all relevant local rules, regulations and standards to which we and others are bound.”

Mossack Fonseca declined to answer specific questions and said, in providing its services, “we follow both the letter and spirit of the law. Because we do, we have not once in nearly 40 years of operation been charged with criminal wrongdoing.”In October 2015, London police questioned Mrs. Alison-Madueke, Nigeria’s oil minister from 2010 to 2015, as part of investigations into allegations of bribery and money laundering. The investigations are ongoing. The ex-minister, who graduated with an architecture degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C., in 1992, is in London undergoing cancer treatment, her lawyers said.

Media reports have described Mr. Aluko as a key ally to Mrs. Alison-Madueke, a relationship both have previously denied. He rose to prominence around 2011 when Nigeria’s government awarded two companies he founded or owned valuable oil blocks on a no-bid basis. One of his companies, Atlantic Energy, was created the day before it inked the deals to acquire multimillion-dollar oil licenses.

Mr. Aluko is part of a circle of oil traders who are the subject of frequent media speculation in Nigeria. His lifestyle has earned him the reputation of being Nigeria’s playboy. He bought an apartment in Manhattan for $8.6 million and, according to The New York Times, paid more than $70 million to buy four homes in Santa Barbara and Beverly Hills.

The Nigerian government won a court order in May freezing assets linked to Mr. Aluko, two companies he directed and one of his business partners. The Lagos High Court order listed Mr. Aluko’s yacht along with property in London, four homes in California, two penthouses in Manhattan, one in Dubai, 132 houses and apartments in Nigeria and land in Canada and Switzerland. The court also ordered Mr. Aluko not to sell or dispose of more than $67 million in four bank accounts in London and Switzerland, an assortment of watches, a 58-car collection and three airplanes.

Through a representative, Mr. Aluko told ICIJ that “I have never been prosecuted and convicted in any country. I am aware that a criminal investigation was started in the UK. However, to date I have not been made aware of any law enforcement action to be undertaken against me.”

Rihanna Gets Real About Beyonce Rivalry, Reveals Her Biggest Regret In Vogue

The 28-year-old singer stuns on the April cover of Vogue, sporting a show-stopping Tom Ford sequin dress and a slicked-back ‘do. Rihanna opens up about everything from her new album, Anti, to her love of fashion with the publication, and sets the record straight on reports of a feud between her and Beyonce.

The magazine points out Beyonce’s surprise release of her single “Formation” during Anti’s week climbing the charts as just one reason some fans have been pitting the two superstars against one another, but the “Work” singer isn’t bothered in the least.

“Here’s the deal. They just get so excited to feast on something that’s negative,” Rihanna says. “Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that.”

Obviously, Rihanna has enough going on in her own life as it is. She’s in the middle of a 63-city world tour, and says her grueling schedule makes it a challenge to be in a relationship.

“My schedule is so crazy right now,” she laments. “It’s definitely going to be a challenge when I do decide to pursue a relationship . . . but I have hope!”

But she couldn’t be prouder of her latest album, even if it turns out to not be as popular as her previous work.

“It might not be some automatic record that will be Top 40,” Rihanna acknowledges. “But I felt like I earned the right to do that now.”

Rihanna’s latest music is definitely personal, judging by the way she describes her songs. For example, “Higher” is about a woman in a not so healthy relationship. “You know he’s wrong, and then you get drunk and you’re like, ‘I could forgive him. I could call him. I could make up with him,'” she explains. “Just, desperate. We just said, ‘You know what? Let’s just drink some whiskey and record this song.'”

Her song “Work,” which Ariana Grande recently poked fun of on Saturday Night Live thanks to the not easily understood chorus, is inspired by her home culture in Barbados.

Aside from her music career, Rihanna also has plenty going on in fashion, including a new Puma collection, and Fr8me, an agency representing stylists and hair and makeup artists, which she co-founded last year.

And it turns out her biggest regret in life is fashion related. Rihanna recalls her infamous completely sheer Adam Selman dress she wore to accept her Fashion Icon award at the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards — for which Tom Ford called her “one of the most beautiful women [he has] ever beheld”– and reflects that she wishes she would have changed one thing.

“I just liked it better without the lines underneath,” Rihanna says about donning nothing but a nude pair of undies underneath the intricate Swarovski-encrusted creation. “Could you imagine the CFDA dress with a bra? I would slice my throat. I already wanted to, for wearing a thong that wasn’t bedazzled. That’s the only regret I have in my life.”

Nigerian Army Reveals How 14 Female Suicide Bombers Were Unleashed On Maiduguri

Fourteen female suicide bombers descended on Borno State on Sunday, killing 25 people and injuring at least, 85, the Nigerian Army has said.

Yushau Abubakar, a Major-General, said during a press briefing in Mai?duguri, Monday, said the suicide bombers blowing themselves into bits as they attempted to invade the city.

“The 14 female suicide bombers, who were between the ages of 12 and 18, attempted to entered Maiduguri with the intent to cause mayhem, confusion, and panic,” said Mr. Abubakar, the Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, who represented the GOC, 7 Division, Major-General Lamidi Adeosun.

The attack, one among a recent wave of violent assaults by the Boko Haram terrorists, came days after the Nigerian government claimed it had met its December deadline of defeating the insurgents.

Mr. Abubakar said the girls, who planned to carry out coordinated suicide missions through Asmari, Damboa checkpoint, Ali Dawari, Molai Kura, Baderi, and Jumari villages, were intercepted by soldiers on patrol.

Three of the terrorists, according to the army officer, detonated their Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) while seven others were shot dead by soldiers.

One of the bombers was arrested while three others escaped.

“I believe this development has averted what would have been a major disaster if they had gained entrance into Maiduguri,” Mr. Abubakar said.

“One of the girls went into a nearby house and requested for water to perform ablution but instead prepared herself and came to a nearby mosque, killing herself and one other person while 13 others sustained injuries.”

Buhari Reveals Those Frustrating Efforts To Recover Loots, Stolen Assets

President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, descended on the judiciary, saying the overall levels of judicial service delivery in the county still leave much to be desired.

President Buhari said he was perturbed that more than ever before, “allegations of judicial corruption have become more strident and frequent.”

Flagging-off the 2015 All Nigeria Judges’ Conference  in Abuja,  yesterday, Buhari, who was represented by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, accused corrupt lawyers and judges of sabotaging his efforts to recover stolen assets.

He said: “Further on point of negative perception, there is both local and international dissatisfaction with the long delays in the trial process. In the past few years, this has become especially so for high-profile cases of corruption, especially where they involve serving or former political office holders.

“As my lords are undoubtedly aware, corruption transfers from public coffers to private pockets, resources required to deliver social and economic justice.

“Government’s attempts to recover such assets in accordance with the law are often faced with dilatory tactics by lawyers sometimes with the apparent collusion of judges.

“These tactics are often not directed at reaching any conclusion or affirming innocence or guilt, but at stalling trials indefinitely, thus denying the state and the accused person the opportunity of a judicial verdict. I wish to echo the sentiments of the vast majority of Nigerians in saying that we cannot afford to continue on this path.”

How I Emerged Ooni, Ooni-Elect Reveals

Following his emergence as the Ooni-elect, only coronation-rites away from occupying the pre-eminent monarchical stool among an estimated 60 million Yoruba worldwide, Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, yesterday said his ascension to the throne was a divine call, as “only God chooses kings.”

The Ooni-elect who spoke in an exclusive interview yesterday, expressed his appreciation to God, who made his emergence so peaceful.

He spoke against the backdrop of several efforts to thwart the process that led to his emergence which had led to uncertainty in the ancient town since the passage of the last Ooni, Oba Okunade Sijuade Olubuse II, on July 28 this year at Saint Mary Hospital London at the age of 85.

Kingmakers who had thought the new Ooni would be announced 42 days after the death of Sijuade were wrong as several interest groups raised allegations against either the families due to produce a new Ooni or Prince Adeyeye Ogunwusi himself when, they somehow found out he was the candidate to beat.

Before his selection was announced, Prince Ogunwusi spoke of his shock at the allegations, saying he was never involved in any sharp practices, stressing that he believes “it is God that actually appoints kings.

“My brother, can people be this bad?! How can they be maligning my character with all these spurious allegations, which I am not aware of or connected with? Well, I believe that in a matter of days, everything would be over and that the will of God will be done,” he had said emphatically.

Two months before, when some friends expressed concern over his bid for the throne, he simply thanked them but said: “This is beyond me; it is a divine call and I cannot do otherwise. This is the biggest challenge I have ever faced in my life.”

Through it all, the Ooni-elect even as a candidate never failed to express his confidence in God, in the integrity of the kingmakers and the government of Osun State.

Beyonce’s Dad Reveals Her Real Age

Mathew Knowles continues to use his daughter Beyoncé’s name as a means to stay newsworthy — this time, it’s by adding fuel to the rumor that the superstar is lying about her age.

In a new interview with Power 105.1’s Breakfast Club, Knowles says (in the context of telling another story) that Pink is “exact same age as Beyoncé.” Pink is 36, and Beyoncé is (according to her) 34. Beyoncé’s age has been a source of speculation for years, complete with alleged birth certificate leaks and celebrity sources (Gabrielle Union, who is nine years older than Beyoncé, has said they were friends when they were teenagers).

At another point in the interview, he does refer to her as 34 years old. “I think they [Destiny’s Child] have so much because they started so early in life,” says Knowles. “This goes back to eight years old, and now we’re talking 34.”

Report Reveals Salary Of ISIS Fighters As French Jihadists Narrate Life In Islamic State

A new report compiling testimonies from French jihadists about their life with the Islamic State has revealed what salary ISIS pays its fighters, what a combatant’s daily life looks like and why some chose to return to Europe.

The document, named Recruitment, Itinerary and Activities of French Fighters was sent to every magistrate investigating terrorism in the country at the beginning of October.

In it, officers of the Direction des Affaires Criminelles et des Grâces (the department of criminal matters and pardons, DACG), have compiled testimonies of French fighters being investigated after their return from the Iraqi-Syrian region, according to Le Monde.

Jihadists described how routes into Syria have widely diversified since the conflict began. In order to “cover their tracks” some French jihad candidates now fly to Istanbul from neighboring countries such as Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Spain.

Others travel by road to Antakya (also known as the former town of Antioch), a city in south-east Turkey, just 12 miles from the Syrian border.

On arrival at the Turco-Syrian border, the future jihadists explained how they were taken care of by either other jihadists – some French – or most commonly by smugglers, who they pay between €100 (£74, $114) and €200 to take them either by foot or in a van into Syria.

According to the testimonies, the border crossings “do not seem to pose any difficulties other than climbing barbed wires.”

Former ISIS Captive Reveals Strange Incidence With Jihadi John

In a vivid new description of ISIS’ brutal executioner, a former hostage says his captor was not only sadistic, but bizarre.

Daniel Rye, a 26-year-old photographer from Denmark who was held captive in Syria for more than a year, said that one of his jailers was the hooded figure in black who spoke in ISIS execution videos.

In an interview this week, Rye described an encounter with the man, who has been nicknamed”Jihadi John” by the British tabloids.

“He picked me up and I had to dance the tango, John and I,” Rye told Danish broadcaster DR. “My head was down and afraid of being beaten. He led me around the prison. Suddenly, he changed and just pushed me down. They kicked and hit me. They finished by threatening to cut my nose off with pliers and things like that.”

Amber Rose and Blac Chyna were supposed to be starring in their own reality television show – that was before MTV reportedly (and mysteriously) pulled the plug on it.

There was no reason specified for the show’s cancellation, which caused the rumour mills to start turning…

Many speculated whether the duo’s friendship had broken down and to further put fuel on the fire, Chyna didn’t attend Rose’s L.A. “Slut Walk” last weekend but instead chose to party alongside rapper Future in Atlanta.

However, there is a plot twist; Amber is now denying that there was even a show in the first place.

NASA Reveals Next Step To 8 Months Journey To Mars

Man is one step closer to setting foot on the Red Planet, according to the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The space agency, which recently announced the historic discovery of flowing water on Mars, has just announced an updated plan for ‘The Journey to Mars.’

“NASA is closer to sending American astronauts to Mars than at any point in our history,” NASA Administrator, Charles Bolden, said in a recent statement.

“Today, we are publishing additional details about our journey to Mars plan and how we are aligning all of our work in support of this goal. In the coming weeks, I look forward to continuing to discuss the details of our plan with members of Congress as well as our commercial and our international and partners.

“The journey to Mars crosses three thresholds, each with increasing challenges as humans move farther from Earth,” the agency reported. “NASA is managing these challenges by developing and demonstrating capabilities in incremental steps.”

The first of these steps is pretty straight-forward. “Earth-reliant” activities, as NASA calls them, will be ongoing up until the day the Space Launch System (SLS) – NASA’s latest flagship rocket and the “most powerful rocket ever built” – sends the Orion spacecraft on its way to Mars.

ICPC Witness Reveals How N805m Was Shared In N’Delta Ministry

Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences commission, ICPC, that arraigned Yusuf Agabi and some directors in the Federal Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs has revealed through its principal witness, Kabiru Kaloma, how the sum of N805m was serially shared.

Paloma who was personal assistant to Agabi and one Ayinla Abibu, a former Director Finance and Accounts, DFA, informed the court yesterday, at the resumed hearing of the matter before Justice Husseini Baba of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, FCT, in Abuja, that the mopping up ‘was pure stealing’.

During his cross examination by counsel to the ICPC, Paul Bassi, Paloma told the court how he suddenly discovered that his personal accounts were frozen by the anti-graft agency sometime in 2014.

The witness who was used as a conduit pipe for illicit transfer of funds said he informed Agabi, his former boss, of how his accounts were being used by the ministry in 2013 to remit funds.

He claimed that Agabi shunned all his calls and never responded to his text messages hence he decided to “spill the beans.”

Paloma told the court how Ayinla who became Director of Finance and Accounts (DFA) in 2014 instructed that a balance of N100m be left of the balance of 2013 constituency project that was being ‘mopped up’ .

Paloma alleged that the DFA, Ayinla, ordered a transfer of N60m to his account while the remaining N40million was to be shared amongst staff of the accounts department namely: one Mr. Dickson, Kabiru Paloma, James Ihenacho and Daniel Oba, while a portion of the money was shared to staffs of the Central Pay Office (CPO) of the ministry.

Man Without Penis Reveals How He Was Able To Sleep With 100 Women

Andrew Wardle, known as the man without a penis, says that he’s slept with 100 women and most of them had no idea he didn’t have a penis. Thankfully, he’s finally revealed how. Wardle, who says he also hid that he has no penis from his girlfriend for over a year, explained the whole situation in TLC UK’s documentary special The Man With No Penis?, which aired Monday night.

The 40-year-old was born with a rare birth defect and because of it, he’s focused on what he can provide women in the bedroom, even without a penis. Wardle says his knowledge of the female body and mind is what made his one-night stands successful. “I was very confident in bed of what I could do to them so they wouldn’t come near me and they were finished and I was fine,” he said. (Which I assume means he got really good at going down on women, but that’s just a guess.) Wardle also mentioned a drug abuse problem, and would use being on drugs like ecstasy and LSD for the reason why he couldn’t perform.

An innovative surgery could possibly give him a functioning penis, which would use muscle and skin grafts taken from his forearm to craft a shaft. For now though, Wardle told ?People ?that “I’m talking it one step at a time and not expecting anything.”

Saraki Reveals Why He Is Facing Prosecution

In a statement released by his media aide, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Tuesday evening, Mr. Saraki said he was singled out for prosecution because of his position as the Senate President – an apparent reference to the controversy over his election as leader of the Senate.

In the statement, Mr. Saraki said he previously refused to appear before the tribunal because he was exploring the “opportunity to defend (his) fundamental human rights in other courts”.

“As I stated while taking the plea in the case, I reiterate my belief that the only reason while I am going through this trial is because I am Senate President. If I were to be just a Senator, I doubt if anybody will be interested in the asset declaration form I filled over twelve years ago,” he said.

The statement repeated a claim he made at the tribunal earlier Tuesday that trial did not follow due process.

“This belief stems from the fact that Section 3 (d) of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act provides that if there is a breach or non-compliance with any section of the law, the person involved should be given the opportunity to either admit or deny and that in the case of a written admission, no reference to the tribunal shall be necessary,” he said.

Chibok Girls Still Alive, Intelligence Reports Reveals More

Intelligence reports have revealed that at least half of the Chibok girls are still alive but held in various secret locations in the North-east region of Nigeria and neighbouring countries of the Lake Chad region.

This is coming as the division between the Abubakar Shekau-led faction of the Boko Haram sect and a splinter group led by Mahamat Daoud, who recently claimed to be the new leader of the group, has weakened the resolve of the terrorists to carry on with their mission for an Islamic Caliphate.

An intelligence source vouched that some, but not all, of the Chibok girls were alive.

The source revealed that military intelligence was aware that some the girls were still with the terrorists in different locations, while some had been married off and may never be found again.

“We will never find all the girls again as intelligence findings revealed some have died, and some married away, while the rest are still divided among the terror groups in different locations both within the North-east and some neighbouring countries,” the source said.

The 47-year-old has bravely opened up about how she and her family are coping with René’s illness and explained why she is returning to her Las Vegas residency now following a year-long hiatus. “I didn’t want to be here at first, I don’t need it. A Mathematical Formula Reveals The Secret To Lasting Relationships

If you’re fortunate enough to find someone you want to settle down with forever, the next question is: How do you achieve happily ever after? According to mathematician Hannah Fry, it may come down to a simple formula.

Fry, who works at the UCL Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis in London, explains in her 2014 TED Talk and recently released book, “The Mathematics of Love,” that the best predictor of long-lasting relationships is how positive and negative a couple can be to one another.

In her book, she discusses the groundbreaking work of psychologist John Gottman and his team. Over many years they observed hundreds of couples and noted their facial expressions, heart rates, blood pressure, skin conductivity, and the words they used in conversation with their partners.

They discovered low-risk couples have more positive interactions with each other, and high-risk couples tend to spiral into negativity.
