Court adjourns reverend father’s rape case to May 25

A Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Maitama on Wednesday adjourned until May 25 to commence hearing in a case of rape of a minor brought against a reverend father, Anthony Ochigbo.

The case which is being tried by Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf was adjourned after the prosecuting counsel, John Ijagbemi, wrote the court asking for adjournment.

Mr. Ijagbemi said he was attending another court for a different case.

The court had sometime in November 2016 adopted the bail condition given to Mr. Ochigbo earlier in another court.

The counsel told the court that Mr. Ochigbo, 44, of Catholic Church of Assumption, Asokoro, Abuja, on August 15, 2016 allegedly abused a 10-year-old girl sexually.

He said Mr. Ochigbo had an unlawful sexual intercourse with her in the church which contravened Sections 31 (1) and 32(2) of the Child Rights Act, 2003.

Mr. Ochigbo was earlier arraigned before Justice Olukayode Adeniyi on August 30, 2016 during courts’ vacation.

Mr. Adeniyi granted him a N2 million bail with two sureties, who must be civil servants not below Grade Level 14.

In addition, he said the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction.

Man ‘awarded’ 14 years imprisonment for raping 29-year-old virgin

A 32-year-old security guard, Kenechukwu Okonkwo, was on Friday sentenced to 14 years imprisonment for raping a 29 year-old virgin.

Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye while passing the sentence at an Ikeja High Court, Lagos, described rape as an `act of extreme violence’ against women.

Ipaye said that there should be zero tolerance to any form of violence against women and vulnerable members of the society.

“I hereby sentence you, Kenechukwu Okonkwo, to 14 years imprisonment to commence from today March 24, 2017,” she said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Okonkwo was arraigned in court on July 14, 2015 on a charge of rape which is contrary to Section 258 (1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.

During the trial, the prosecution led by Adeniji said that Okonkwo committed the offence on Dec. 27, 2013 in his one-bedroomed apartment located in Ketu Lagos.

Adeniji said: “The complainant was a 29-year-old saleswoman (name withheld) who was a virgin.

“She was experiencing accommodation problems and was about to be evicted from her home.

“The complainant however, confided in Okonkwo about her problem and he offered to keep some of her property in his apartment.

“She came to inspect his apartment which was a ‘face me I face you,’ doubting the suitability of his apartment and when she turned to leave, Okonkwo blocked her exit and forcefully dragged her from the corridor into his apartment.

“She was screaming and begging him in Igbo language and he responded saying that ‘you have been suffering me for too long,” he said.

The prosecutor said the convict however, gagged her with wrapper to stifle her scream and had forceful carnal knowledge of her in his bedroom.

“The noise and commotion in the apartment attracted Okonkwo’s co-tenant who came to intervene to no avail.

“It was when the landlord knocked on Okonkwo’s door to enquire about the noise that the complainant was able to escape,” Adeniji said.
However Okonkwo, in his testimony during the trial, claimed that the sexual intercourse between him and the complainant was consensual.

He said that he had a desire to marry her and she usually visited him at his apartment on Sundays with members of her church.

“On that fateful day, I attended a naming ceremony and while I was leaving the ceremony, I received a phone call from the complainant saying that she was at my house.

“I got home and she collected the bag of pure water I was carrying and asked me what I wanted to eat and I told her I wanted to eat Indomie.

“She changed into a pair of tights from her jeans trousers to make the Indomie and I played an adult movie which we watched together while we had dinner.

“She made me promise that I will marry her and thereafter, we made love,” he said.

However, when he was being cross-examined by Adeniji, Okonkwo admitted, contrary to his testimony, that the complainant visited him for the first time on the day of the incident.

Justice Ipaye, in convicting Okonkwo, noted inconsistencies in his testimony.

She said: “The defendant is not only economical with the truth, he should not be believed.

“There were inconsistencies in his testimonies and his longstanding friend who testified on his behalf as DW2, could not recall knowing her as his girlfriend.

“She was at risk of having her belongings thrown out of where she was staying and he took advantage of her vulnerable state on the night of Dec. 27, 2013.

“After hearing and observing the defendant and the complainant give their testimonies, her account is more in line with narration of her accommodation problem.

“Her visit to the defendant was not a social visit but to establish the suitability of his home to keep some of her belongings at the time.

“She is of a very slim build and could have been easily overpowered by the defendant and her account was more in line with the account of the medical doctors who testified on behalf of the prosecution,” Ipaye said.
NAN reports that four witnesses testified on behalf of the prosecution — the complainant, the investigating police officer and two medical doctors.

Noting the impact of the medical evidence on her conviction of Okonkwo for the crime, Ipaye said: “Penetration, however slight, constitutes the offence of rape.

“I have no doubt about the penile penetration, as the testimony of the complainant was clear, concise and unequivocal.

“PW3, Dr Oluwaseun Osungbusi, is a medical doctor with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). He came to testify on behalf of his colleague, Dr Justina Oyemarin, who attended to the complainant on the night of the alleged rape.

“He and Oyemarin both worked at the Ikosi Primary Health Centre where the complainant sought treatment after the alleged rape.

“Oyemarin’s report noted that the complainant had a broken hymen, had bruises on her body and had heavy vaginal bleeding and discharge.

“PW4 was Dr Joseph Onwoh, a medical doctor with over 30 years of experience in gynaecology.

“In his testimony, he told the court that when the complainant was referred to him, she was bleeding and had a ragged, broken hymen.

“He counselled her and advised her to keep her bloodstained underwear as evidence in case the matter goes to court.

“He can be seen as a first responder who saw the complainant in her state of distress and his testimony was in line with the test results presented by Osungbusi,” she said.

NAN reports that counsel to the convict, Mr Worer Obuagbaka, in his plea for mercy, told the court that Okonkwo was a first time offender and was repentant.

“The convict is a first time offender and the only son of his family; he lost his mother last year to cervical cancer and has been in custody since December 2013.

“During this period, he has learnt his lesson, I plead with the court to pass a light sentence on the convict and temper justice with mercy,” Obuagbaka said.

However, the prosecutor, Mr Kazeem Adeniji, the Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, commended the judgment.

Court strikes out rape case for lack of diligent prosecution

A Gudu Upper Area Court, Abuja, on Thursday struck out a rape case preferred against one Charles Adam, 30, for lack of diligent prosecution.

The judge, Umar Kagarko, struck out the case and discharged the defendant, after listening to the submission of the defence counsel, Gilbert Okoh.

Mr. Okoh had earlier prayed the court to strike out the case, as the prosecution had shown enough sign of lack of interest in it.

Citing relevant sections of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, ACJA, 2015, Mr. Okoh said the case had suffered many adjournments at the instance of the prosecution.

He said that while both the complainant and the prosecution were aware of the adjourned date for hearing, the prosecution and his witnesses were absent without any reason.

“There is no information or letter explaining their absence.

“It is against public policy to hang an accusation on the neck of a citizen and keep him perpetually bound in court.

“Besides, the court is not a dumping ground of cases,” Mr. Okoh said.

He urged the judge to strike out the case and discharge his client, who, he said, had been appearing voluntarily in court.

“In considering the number of adjournments this case has suffered, it can be seen that the non-appearance of prosecution has offended sections of the constitution,” he said.

Mr. Adam, of Adamawa Street, Chika, Airport Road, was first arraigned on July 18, 2016, on a one-count charge of rape.

He had pleaded not guilty.

Mr. Tanko said that the convict repeatedly carried out the crime five times.

He further explained that the minor was taken to the Rosa Haske hospital for treatment where N5, 250 was spent on his treatment; and the matter was reported to the Police by Adamu Ali on February 18.

Man sentenced to 7 years imprisonment for raping 80-year old woman

A 45-year old driver, Lawrence Adedapo, has been sentenced to seven years imprisonment by an Ado Ekiti High Court for raping an 80-year-old women, Madam Grace Asaolu.

Delivering his judgement on Monday, Justice Dele Omotoso, convicted Adedapo based on evidence before the court which showed that the driver forcefully had a carnal knowledge of the old woman and was guilty as charged.

Going by the charge sheet preferred against the convict, he was said to have sexually assaulted the octogenarian on November 7, 2013, at Oke Erimope Street, Ogbese, Ise-Ekiti .

Adedapo was thereafter charged to court by the Ekiti State Police Command on two-count charge of assault and rape.

During trial, Adedapo pleaded not guilty to the charge and gave evidence in his own defence without calling any witness to articulate his case.

Adedapo testified that the old woman, whom he described as his “mother as well as concubine” has been his lover as far back as his bachelor years, claiming that Mrs Asaolu framed him up.

The convict claimed that the old woman had earlier approached him for a sum of money to travel to her village but on that date, she walked into his room and demanded for the money.

He further claimed that the old woman started romancing him which eventually led to a sexual intercourse after he had given her 1,000 Naira.

The prosecution led by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Owoseni Ajayi, gave evidence that the convict confessed to have been dating the woman before the incident and that she consented to the sexual intercourse.

Ajayi tendered the blood-stained clothes of the victim which was recovered from the scene of the incident.

The trial judge resolved all issues for determination against Adedapo and consequently sentenced him to a jail term of seven years for unlawful carnal knowledge of the old woman.

Tales of rape, torture, and blackmail as deported Nigerians recount ordeal in Libya.

Nigerian returnees from Libya have appealed to federal and state governments to provide job opportunities for Nigerian youths to prevent them from endangering their lives looking for greener pasture abroad.

Some of the returnees told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lagos, that they decided to leave the country because they were jobless.

They said that they travelled to Libya with the hope of crossing to Europe through the Mediterranean Sea in search of jobs. NAN recalls that on Feb.14, 161 Nigerians returned voluntarily from Libya.

One of the returnees, Miss Bridget Akeamo, an indigene of Anambra, said her parents decided to send her to Italy when all hope of securing job after her school proved abortive.

Akeama, who said she left Nigeria in August last year, returned with four months pregnancy.

She said she was arrested while trying to cross to Italy from Libya by immigration officials.

Akeama said: “Ever since then, I have been moved from one prison to another until I was taken to detention camp in Tripoli.

“We were subjected to inhuman treatment while in prison, from the food we eat to the water we drink.

“Most of the young ladies in detention camp were raped by Libyan officials and if you refused their advances, it will be hell for you.

“Thank God I am back in Nigeria, I know all hope is not lost but it is painful that I will begin from scratch again with my unborn child.”

Stanley Iduh, 34-year-old indigene of Delta, told NAN that he was tricked by an agent popularly known as “Burger that he would facilitate his journey to Spain through Libya.

He said that when his hope of crossing into Spain was dashed in Libya, he decided to stay back and work in the Arab country.

“I worked in Tile producing company and their salary was good but unfortunately I cannot save my money in the bank. I lived with other Nigerians. I dug a hole in the ground to save my money.

“Unfortunately, one day, some Libyans came, kidnapped us and inflicted punishment on us. They asked us to call our relations back in Nigeria and tell them to send N300, 000 as our ransom.

“The 200, 000 US dollars that I saved, disappeared; they moved us to another place until we got to detention camp. Nigerians should be discouraged from travelling to Libya because they are not treating us like human beings.

“Our ladies were dehumanised by Libyan officials, it is very painful,” he said.

Iduh, who said he sold the house left by his late father before travelling to Libya, urged the federal and state governments as well as wealthy Nigerians to create job for the youths.

“It was because I was jobless for three years that I was cajoled to travel abroad to look for greener pasture. I am back in the country after eight months, devastated and humiliated.

“I have gone to look for greener pasture but here I am today; I have brought nothing green back home,” he said with tears running in his cheek.

Paul and Marvellous Isikhuemhen are twin brothers who travelled to Libya in March and May 2016 respectively in search for greener pasture.

Marvellous told NAN that they regretted travelling out of the country because of the bitter encounter they had in Libya. He said that though they secured good job in publishing house in Libya, “it was suffering and smiling’’ until they were given the opportunity to return home through IOM.

Isikhuemhen urged the Nigerian government to stop young ladies from travelling to Libya, saying they were molested by Libyan immigration officials. He said that most Nigerian ladies bribe Nigerian Immigration Officers to secure travel documents to travel to Libya.

Isikhuemhen added that most of the children brought back home by these ladies had no fathers.

“I can boldly tell you that the children you are seeing in their hands and those pregnant ladies are products of Libya immigration officers,” he said.

The witness said that her sister’s husband kept on maltreating her until she gave in to his request.

“He kept on beating me, then one day I could not bear it again, so I allowed him to sleep with me.

“He threatened to deal with me if I tell my sister. I didn’t tell my sister but I told the other two he had sex with,” she told the court.

34-year-old man suffers stroke after raping wife’s 15-year-old niece

A thirty-four-year-old man, Kingsley Agbini, has developed stroke after he allegedly raped his wife’s niece, identified as Comfort in his house at Agbarho community in Ughelli North Local Council of Delta State.

Agbini, who is still recuperating from his stroke, is said to have admitted to committing the offence, stating that he developed the ailment after his escapades with Comfort on December 12, 2016 was brought to the knowledge of his wife.

In his confession, Agbini said: “It was a strong tempto rape my wife’s niece.”

Already, his wife, Grace, 28, has packed out of the house with their 10-month-old baby as a result of the act. He is, however, pleading for her return for settlement, saying “it was a temptation. I don’t understand how it happened.”

It was gathered that Agbini had consistently raped the 15-year-old girl without the knowledge of his wife. Trouble started for Agbini after he last raped the girl on December 12.

Pained by the ugly incident, Comfort informed some elderly people, who disclosed the act to her aunt, Grace. When Grace confronted her husband with the allegation, he instead allegedly threatened to kill her.

“If you can’t sleep with a man, don’t go to his house”, says Comedian, Baba De Baba.

Nigerian comedian, Chidi Uzoma a.k.a Baba De Baba, has angered Nigerians online after suggesting that forcefully having sex with a girl who visits a man is not rape.

Trouble started when the comedian made a skit about “forcefully sleeping” with a woman who refused his several advances after he had spent money on her.

Although the skit was posted on Tuesday last week, not until Monday did it begin to gain traction.

In the now controversial comic skit, a lady went with a policeman to arrest a man for raping her.

According to the comedian, the forceful sexual intercourse is justified because the lady came to sleep over at his house for one week.

This is because he kept spending money on her, taking her to the club and others, yet she kept on rejecting his advances even though she slept in his bed.

During the last night of her visit, he forcefully had his way with her.

When asked if his action in the skit was rape, the comedian insisted that it could be justified as fornication.

He ended the video by saying to the camera, “If I want a girl that will sleep in my house and I will spend money on her, I will invite my sister. If you can’t sleep with a man, don’t go to his house.”

Some of the comments-:

@iamtopesalau asked, “are you endorsing rape’’?

He responded saying, “If you can visit a guy and stay over, you should be able to sleep with him because he is not your brother. If you are too responsible to have sex then stay in your father’s house.”

When PREMIUM TIMES put a call across to the fast-talking comedian, he had this to say.

“I want people to look at the moral value in the skit. They reason that a lady who decides to sleep in a man’s house for five days who isn’t her relative amounts to sexual fraud.

“Growing up, our parents instilled morals and discouraged our sisters from sleeping over at a man’s home. All these feminists are wayward people who are promoting sexual fraud.

The police are making money from it.”

When asked if he would take down the video following public outcry, he said, “People can go on insulting me and I wont take down the video. No one promoted the video since I posted it on Tuesday not until one women’s right activist stumbled on it. It is the feminist that promoted the video and and not me.

“The right thing I expect any responsible group to do is to contact me privately. I am totally against rape and no one has ever accused me of rape. Even my ex-girlfriends have called to commend the skit. These feminists are seeing it from another angle and only trying to promote sexual fraud.”

Following the clap backs, the comedian has set his Instagram account to private.

Justifying it he said, “People were only liking my stories but not following my page. So, if they really want to see my videos they must request for me to grant them permission to view my page.”

Two teachers rape girl after showing her porn.

Two teachers, Stanley Akanno and Olakunle Hassan, both teachers in a private primary school in Amuwo Odofin, were yesterday paraded by Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2, AIG Kayode Aderanti, for serially defiling their 6-year-old female pupil.

The teachers, he said, during extra mural classes, showed pornography on their laptop to the pupil and made her practice same on them. “The pupil has been taken to a government hospital where it was medically established that she had been deflowered. The suspects will soon be charged to court,” Aderanti said.

They were arrested following suspicion by the girl’s mother that her daughter has suddenly become sexually active. The girl’s mother, while narrating how the daughter was defiled, said: “I noticed that my daughter was kissing her brother’s penis”

I called her and interrogated her where she learnt the behaviour and she told me that her lesson teacher plays erotic films on his laptop and forced her to watch it. She added that the teacher will then defile her. We reported the case to the police and from the investigation, it showed that she was defiled.”

Woman Sets Her Husband On Fire For Raping Her 7 Year Old Daughter

When Vanessa Jackson found that her 52 year old husband, Vincent Phillips, raped and molested her daughter, she took matters into her own hands and lit him on fire.

The 40 year old mother waited for her husband to go to bed, then when he was asleep, she poured a combustible liquid on him and lit a match. She then admitted to police that she intentionally set him on fire because shooting him would have been ‘too nice.’

Phillips didn’t die in the blaze and is being charged with a 1st degree sex crime. Jackson faces arson charges and assault charges.

The state of mind of Jackson, at the time she set Phillips on fire, is being questioned, “Should Jackson’s mental state at the time result in a lenient sentence when it comes time for the criminal court to address her situation of the crimes she is being charged with?”

The public is worried that the state will punish Jackson too harshly for her crime of passion.

The Inspector-General of Police (I-G), Ibrahim Idris, said two policemen, three army personnel, one prison official, one Air Force personnel, a staff of Borno Ministry for Agriculture and two members of the Civilian JTF have been arrested for sexually abusing women and girls displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency.

A report published in Human Rights Watch, in October, detailed how government officials abused and raped women living at IDP camps in Borno State.

The report documented sexual abuse, including rape and exploitation, of 43 women and girls living in seven internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

Four of the victims told Human Rights Watch that they were drugged and raped, while 37 were coerced into sex through false marriage promises and material and financial assistance.

President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered the I-G and the affected state governors to investigate the allegation.

Police set up a special panel to investigate the alleged abuses.

Speaking Tuesday at the Inspector-General of Police Conference in Abuja on Tuesday, Mr Idris said police would liaise with the Army and Air Force to make their personnel available for a thorough investigation.

Mr. Idris said after the investigation, any suspects found guilty of the offence would be dismissed and taken to court for prosecution.

He advised state commissioners of police to ensure that Nigerians were not subjected to hardships on the roads during the Yuletide.

“You should ensure that no hardship is created for citizens of Nigeria, try and ease movements on the roads,” he said.

Investigations begin into U.S. tourist’s gang-rape claim in Delhi hotel

Indian police have begun investigations after a U.S. tourist alleged she was raped by five men including a tourist guide in Delhi, officials said on Tuesday.

The woman, in her early 30s, was allegedly assaulted at a luxury hotel near the central business district of Connaught Place in April.

Police said the victim had returned home without lodging any complaint and contacted them through an NGO recently.

“We have registered a case of rape and launched investigations into the allegations.

However, he did not give further details, saying it could hamper investigations in the case.

According to reports in the domestic media, the woman alleged that her tour guide had given her a spiked drink and later raped her with four acquaintances in the hotel room.

India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said those guilty would be brought to justice.

“I have also asked the Indian ambassador in the U.S. to contact the victim and assure that we will not spare the guilty,’’ she said in a series of tweets posted earlier.

Inaugurating the centre located in Gwmna Awan General Hospital, Kakuri Kaduna, the state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mrs Amina Sijuwade, said the development was the initiative of the Justice Reform Committee.

She said that the Ministry of Health would provide forensic examination and treatment, the Nigerian Police would investigate, and the Ministry of Justice would provide legal services.

Sijuwade added that the Ministry of Women Affairs would equally provide psycho-social counselling for the victims, making it a complete package in response to the increasing cases of sexual assault in the state.

“The Ministry of Justice has already designated a gender desk officer who will prepare all legal documents for legal action for victims.

“Also, all the officials that will work at the centre have already been trained with support from the Department For International Development (DFID).

“This initiative will greatly help in curbing the alarming rate of violence and sexual assault against minors in the state,’’ she said.

The commissioner said that three additional centres would be established, one in each of the three senatorial districts in the state, for victims to increase access to the services.

She commended DFID for supporting the initiative through Justice For All project.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Rabi Abdulsalam, said that the centre would serve as a convergence ground for all stakeholders to act in addressing the scourge of sexual assault in the state.

On his part, the Chairman of the Justice Reform Committee, Justice Darrius Khobo, said that the centre would serve as a healing ground for victims.

46 year-old teacher arrested for allegedly raping 2-year-old girl in Lagos

A 46-year-old teacher, Adenekan Adegboyega, has been arrested by the police in Lagos State for allegedly defiling a two-year-old girl.

The supervising teacher in one of the popular and privately-run schools in Lagos State was alleged to have defiled the little girl under the guise of teaching her sex education.

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Mr Fatai Owoseni, who confirmed the arrest to newsmen on Wednesday, said the suspect was later arrested following a complaint lodged by the victim’s parents at the Ikeja Police Division.

He said that preliminary investigation revealed that the teacher allegedly defiled the girl, stressing that the suspect would be charged to court soon.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on the sidelines of the briefing, the suspect said that he got a telephone call from the pupil’s mother accusing him of defiling her daughter.

The suspect said he wondered where and when he committed such a crime, denying ever doing such with the baby girl.

“The mother of the pupil told me that she wanted what transpired between me and her daughter to end.

“She said she did not want any other person to hear about the incident, that even the girl’s father was not aware.

“When the mother of the pupil dropped her call, I was disturbed in my spirit and asked myself where the devil was coming from.

“Few minutes later, she sent a text message to me, telling me to remain firm with her daughter, because her daughter respected me like her father,” he said.

The teacher, who claimed to be a pastor in a Pentecostal church, denied doing such a thing with the minor.

“Before God almighty, I know nothing about the allegation levelled against me by the mother of the minor.

“I want to implore the Nigerian Police to do a thorough investigation.

“I am ready to surrender myself, but I know the God almighty that I serve will vindicate me because this is a serious challenge for me.

“The allegation that I was teaching the girl sex education is not true, because I had never taught in the school. I only supervise and walk round to make sure everything went well,” he said.

The mother of the abused girl, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the daughter told her that someone put his ‘Wiwi’ (penis) into her `wiwi’ ( private part).

“I asked her who the person was; my daughter then mentioned Mr Adenekan’s name saying he did it inside his office toilet.

“Truly, she is two years old but she could describe things vividly.”

“After my daughter explained everything to me, I got the teacher’s phone number from the school and called him.

“Initially, I did not want the issue to go out because of the stigma it would bring against my daughter in the school.

“Thereafter, I confronted the teacher not to threaten my daughter again and it was then he said I could go to anywhere to report.

“He said nobody would believe me, that even if I told the management of the school, they would not believe me,” she said.

The girl’s mother further said that Adenekan had no reason to be at the nursery section of the school, because he only supervises the primary section.

“When I took my daughter to Mirabel Medical Centre in Ikeja, it was revealed that she had been abused.”

Lagos Government to embark on ‘arming’ children against abuse.

The Lagos state government says it will be embarking on a series of event to educate the public, including children, on sexual and gender based violence in the country.

The implementer of the event, the Lagos state Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT), will partner with Access Bank to hold a workshop and a symposium on preventing violence against women and children.

She said the workshop would “focus on children within the region of primary 3 and 6, saying this became imperative in view of the recent statistics which revealed that children within this age range were most vulnerable as regards falling prey to sex predators”.

“Over 1,500 children drawn from both public and private schools in the mainland, Eti- Osa and Apapa axis of the state would receive age appropriate sex education, tips on being sensitive about their body parts, and also a critical education on how to detect and avoid the process of grooming which is a process most predators adopt,” Vivour-Adeniyi said.

“It is our utmost desire that after the program, children would be better informed on their rights, red flags to look out for, and relevant self defence tips. They would also receive relevant materials and contact numbers to call to report any child abuse case.”

She said the symposium, tagged ‘It’s On You And I To End Violence Against Women  And Children’, would hold at Access Bank head office, Victoria Island, Lagos.

“We are confident that after these events, there would be an increased level of awareness on how to prevent the occurrence of these crimes, steps to take to report and renewed commitment from members of the society on their role in ridding this menace out of our society,” Vivour-Adeniyi said.

Rapper Snoop Dogg’s Son Accused of Rape

Snoop Dogg’s 22 year old son, Corde Broadus is being accused of raping a pornstar. The pornstar, Leya Falcon went on Facebook yesterday and described a horrible encounter that she claims happened between her and the “son of a celebrity.”

She alleges she was drugged and raped.

She didn’t mention the person’s name but ‘’ identified the person she was talking about as Snoop Dogg’s son Corde Broadus and claimed they got Leya’s permission to post her full story on their site. Read after the cut…

Here is how she started off her allegations:

I remember way back when I was a young girl seeing your father, listening to your father, basically idolizing your father, so when I found out that he had a television show showcasing him and his family I was nothing short of ecstatic, I tuned into it every single week.

Though I watched it mainly for your father, I thought you were the cutest little thing and the way the show portrayed your family is that yourself and your siblings were raised very well, I was disappointed when the show was cancelled but that was that until a few years later about a year after

I started my career in adult films I came across something someone re-tweeted of you and I clicked and thought wow that cute little boy grew up into a very attractive man but I should have left it at that.

On the way to my car I took another sip of my drink and asked you to hold my cup for a second while

I put my jacket on because I was a little cold and that is where I firmly believe you very stealthily snuck something into my drink, something that would immobilize me, erase my memory and allow you to do whatever it was you wanted to do to me.

We got into my car, you went into the driver’s seat, I plugged in my ipod, took another sip of my drink and went back to trying to find a good song on my ipod to listen to on the way to wherever we were going to decide to go and the next thing I know is I wake up naked, completely disoriented, my vagina feeling swollen and torn like never before, I was covered in vomit and somehow made it upstairs to the room I was staying in.

Narrating the incident, the accused said that on Sept. 20, 2012, his female friend of more than three years called him to pick her at the motor park with his cab and that he took her to his house.

He said, “After staying with me in my house, she told me her problem and I gave her some money, dropped her at a bus stop and went my way.”

He alleged that it was in the course of dropping her that the complainant showed her a man she identified as her cousin.

The accused said that he was surprised when the police invaded his house the following morning requesting him to follow them to Udi Police Station where the man she identified as her cousin accused him of raping his wife.

“I took them with my cab to the police station and the man was threatening me that I will not go scot free for sleeping with his wife.

“I told the man that I have been befriending the complainant for a long time and she never told me that she was married.”

He said that he was granted bail at Udi but the complainant reported the matter to the State Criminal Investigation Department where he was arrested and charged to court.

The presiding Judge, Mrs. Catherine Nwobodo, adjourned the matter till Jan. 23, 2017 for an adoption of written addresses.

‘Nigerians often search for pornography, rape videos on Google’. – Chude

Chude Jideonwo, co-founder of Red Media, says the most searched topics by Nigerians on Google are pornography, suicide and rape videos.

Jideonwo said this on Thursday at the Excellence in Leadership conference holding at Daystar Christian Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.

He noted that the main cause of instability in the world is depression, according to World Health Organisation (WHO).

Jideonwo said people are frustrated, angry and hopeless and only an effective transformation can change the present situation.

The media entrepreneur said society’s values are shifting and more attention is now paid to feminist struggle, fight against patriarchy, disillusionment about pastors and challenge of authority.

“These are all signs that values are beginning to shift, you see it on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook; there is a battle between the stable and the violent”, he said.

He added that the government is somewhat useless and it is one of the major problems affecting the country.

“Ultimately, what they do is useless, one functioning government is more important than 2000 NGOs, if you have a government performing their functions, there would be no need for people contributing money to build schools, save the raped and the abused because the government would be doing its job.

He said transformation can only be effective only when the individual trying to effect the change is transformed already and upright.

Court grants church usher N1m bail for allegedly defiling 6-year-old.

A Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, on Thursday slammed a one million naira bail on a 33-year-old man, Roland Olise, for alleged defilement of a six-year-old girl in a church in Lagos.

Olise, whose address was not provided, pleaded not guilty to a one-count charge of defilement.

The Chief Magistrate, Ipaye Nwachukwu, ordered the accused to produce two sureties in like sum.

Nwachukwu said one of the surety must be a property owner in Lagos State, while the other must be a civil servant on grade level 14.

She said the sureties must provide evidence of tax payments to the government, and adjourned the case till Jan. 19, 2017 for mention.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Anthonia Osayande, told the court that the accused committed the offence at a church at Ajah-Lekki Area in Lagos at about 6.00 p.m on Oct. 21.
Osayande said the accused, who was a church worker, was in church and he saw the six-year-old girl passing and he called her into the church where there wasn’t any body around and defiled her.
She said that the girl knew the man as the church was there family church and that was why she comfortably entered the church with him.?

The offence contravened Sections 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.

Policeman sexually abuses 15-year-old rape victim.

A Metropolitan Police officer who had sex with a 15-year-old rape victim he met online has been dismissed from the force and jailed.

26-year-old James Evans, was sentenced to four years in jail in August and he will be on the sex offenders’ register for life.

Court heard how the ‘vulnerable’ girl performed a sex act in Evans’ car while he drove her home from a session with child mental health services.

He later had intercourse with her at his Ruislip flat after they matched on dating app, Tinder, in January this year.

Although the girl told Evans she was 16, he said he knew she was 15 years old and still at school.

she said, “I now know he took full advantage of my vulnerabilities.

“I told James I had been sexually assaulted the previous August and now I know he should have acted differently as a police officer,” Metro UK reported.

The report also says the girls mother discovered the relationship after reading her daughter’s diary and finding pictures of Evans in police uniform and reported to the authorities.

Assistant Commissioner Helen King said, “PC Evans exploited a girl he knew to be vulnerable and, as she knew he was a serving police officer, abused his position.

“Sexual exploitation of young people, particularly by those in positions of power and influence, has long been very seriously under reported.

“For a police officer to commit such offences is inevitably going to have a serious detrimental impact on the confidence of victims and the wider public to report concerns.

“PC Evans has undermined the work of colleagues to build that trust. Critically he has victimised a young girl and broken the laws he was entrusted to enforce on others.

“The only outcome in this case is for him to be dismissed without notice.”

No Excuse for Rape, Corruption in IDP Camps – Saraki

The President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has said increasing social injustices like rape, diversion of food items and other corruption-related cases within the Internally Displaced Persons’ camps are inexcusable.

A statement by the Special Assistant to the Senate President on Print Media, Chuks Okocha, quoted Saraki as saying this when a delegation of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees led by Mrs. Angele Dikongue-Atangana visited him at the National Assembly, Abuja, on Tuesday.

He also pledged the cooperation of the Senate to ensure quick passage of bills to help address the crisis in IDP camps across the country.

Saraki said, “It is disheartening and heartless when you read and hear of cases of corruption in the supplies of food items; when you see cases of malnutrition and mortality in the IDPs; when you see children with cases of malnutrition and you know there can be speedy recovery; when the necessary drugs and nutritional items are provided with the necessary food items.”

He also pledged the readiness of the National Assembly to cooperate with the UNHCR in addressing the challenges facing the IDPs in the Middle Belt region of Nigeria.

Saraki told the leader of the delegation that the fact that the Senate had no committee on the IDPs did not mean the upper chamber of the National Assembly was unmindful of its legislative duties on the IDPs.

He stated that there were committees of the Senate saddled with the responsibility of tackling poverty and its related challenges.

Saraki pledged the cooperation of the Senate to work with the House of Representatives in the passage of legislation that would enhance the welfare of the persons in the IDPs.

Saraki further pledged to help facilitate the domestication of the Kampala Convention on Statelessness and Protection of Refugees.

Earlier, Dikongue-Atangana recounted the efforts of the UNHCR to rally support on the domestication of the Kampala Convention in the troubled regions within the country.

She announced that the UNHCR was planning a workshop for parliamentarians on the role of lawmakers in internal displacement, adding that the workshop was aimed at creating the awareness among members regarding international standards on IDPs protection and lesson learnt on parliamentary oversight of national response to internal displacement crisis.

Man jailed 10 years for raping 13-year-old hawker.

A Katsina State High Court in Malumfashi on Friday sentenced a 28-year-old farmer, Yusuf Umar, to 10 years imprisonment for raping 13-year-old hawker.

The trial judge, Justice Abbas Bawale, convicted Umar after he was found guilty of unlawfully having carnal knowledge of one Salima Nuhu on April 13, 2014.

Delivering judgment, Bawale said the prosecution had successfully established the charge beyond reasonable doubt as required by law.

The judge, however, said he had taken into the consideration the ill health of the convict, being a cancer patient in his judgment.

He said the punishment for the offence under section 283 of the penal code law attracted a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

The judge said the lead prosecution Counsel, Mr. Aminu Garba, had led four witnesses and three exhibits, including the medical report on the victim.

He sentenced the convict to 10 years imprisonment without option of fine to serve as deterrent to others.

The convict, who was not represented by a counsel, defended himself during the trial.

The convict had lured the 13-year-old into his house on the pretext of buying mangos from her and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her.

The case was first mentioned on Dec. 17, 2015

Father Sentenced to 1,503 Years in Prison for Raping Teenage Daughter

A 41-year-old man in Fresno, Califonia was sentenced to 1,503 years in prison for raping his teenage daughter over a four-year period.

The man was sentenced Friday, October 21, to the longest-known prison sentence in Fresno Superior Court history. The Associated Press is not naming the man because it could identify his daughter. They also don’t name victims of sexual abuse.

In announcing the punishment, Judge Edward Sarkisian Jr. told the man he is a “serious danger to society” and noted that he had never shown remorse and has blamed his daughter for his predicament.

The man’s daughter was first sexually abused by a family friend but instead of protecting her, he turned her into “a piece of property,” prosecutor Nicole Galstan said.

The victim was raped two to three times a week from May 2009 to May 2013, when the girl got the courage to leave him.

In September, a jury found him guilty of 186 felony counts of sexual assault, including dozens of rape of the minor. The daughter, who is now 23 told the judge that her father has never shown remorse for her pain and suffering.

“When my father abused me, I was young. I had no power, no voice. I was defenseless,”

Before his preliminary hearing, he turned down two guilty pleas. If he had admitted  his guilt, prosecutors would have recommended 13 years in prison. But he rejected the offer, saying he should be released from jail for the time he already served.

“He ruined her teenage years and made her feel like it was her fault,” Galstan said.

Tricycle Rider Abducts, Turns 15-yr-old Girl to Sex Slave

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS of the Lagos State Police Command, weekend, rescued a 15-year-old girl, who was allegedly abducted and turned into a sex slave by a tricycle operator in Agege area of Lagos.

Arrested alongside the suspect, identified as Dada Azeez, 28, was an alleged accomplice, Wasiu Agunbiade, in whose apartment the teenager was initially kept. The rescued teenager (names withheld), had N58,000 on her when she was abducted on October 5.

The money belonged to her aunt, Mrs Gbemisola. She was, however, trailed to a one-room apartment at 7, Oseni Street, Danjuma Cinema area of Agege. The abduction saga took another twist after the suspect, Azeez, 28, claimed that the teenager was his girlfriend.

He told the operatives that he had been in a clandestine relationship with the teenager since last year, claiming he abducted her because her aunt was against the relationship. According to Azeez, “we started having a secret affair about a year ago.

But her sister frowned at our relationship when she got to know. I bought her a phone through which we communicated, and instructed her to keep it away from her aunt.

“Whenever she intended to visit me, she would call and I would describe our meeting place for her. Then I thought it would be better for her to elope with me and started working on her psyche by buying her gifts to lure her into accepting to move in with me.

“The day I made up my mind to abduct her coincided with the day she was sent on an errand. I did not know she was with such an amount of money. I only wanted to take her far away from her guardian for not supporting our relationship.”

Her story

The teenager alleged that she was used as a sex machine during her stay in Azeez’s hideout, saying she agreed to elope with him out of ignorance.

According to her, “he forcefully had sex with me on the first day of my arrival and since then, he had been having sex with me without wearing the condom.

He slept with me anywhere, including at his friends’ place where he hid me for weeks.

“I succumbed to him because I could not go back home. He collected the N58,000, which was a thrift contribution I was going to give to the owner. He fed me three times a day with the money.”

I didn’t know she was abducted – Accomplice

On his part, the alleged accomplice, Agunbiade, admitted that the teenager was kept in his apartment for just a night, claiming he never knew she was abducted.

He said: “If I had known she was abducted, I would have advised him to return her to the parents. I never believed he could commit such crime.

“He begged me to accommodate them for one night in my room. They left my place the following day to somewhere else. I regretted allowing them to pass the night in my place.”
Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmus, said the suspects and the rescued girl had been transferred to the Agege Divisional Police, where the case was initially reported before the RRS took it up.

She warned parents and guardians against exposing their wards and children to social vices in their environment.

BREAKING: Footballer Ched Evans found not guilty of rape.

Footballer Ched Evans has been found not guilty of raping a young woman, following a re-trial.

The jury took around three hours to reach their verdict in the re-trial, which came after an original guilty verdict four years ago was quashed by the Court of Appeal.

The 27-year-old had always denied raping a teenager at a Premier Inn hotel near Rhyl in North Wales five years ago.

Evans said he walked into a room at the hotel to find fellow footballer Clayton McDonald having sex with the woman.

The Welsh footballer had told Cardiff Crown Court that McDonald asked the woman whether he could join in,
to which she looked up at him and replied: “Yes”.

Evans said he had consensual sex with the complainant before getting up and leaving after realising he was cheating on his girlfriend.

Prosecutors had tried to prove the complainant was too drunk to consent to sex and awoke hours later confused and alone in the room.

But Evans had told Cardiff Crown Court the woman was no more drunk than him or McDonald.

Alleged Rapist Says His Penis Is Too Small To Rape Anyone

Jacques “Porkchop” Rouschop of Canada is currently on trial for allegedly sexually assaulting and choking two sex workers in the back of his pick-up truck in 2013.

On Thursday, his lawyer, Natasha Calvinho, tried a new argument for the jury as Rouschop pleads not guilty: His physical measurements would have prevented him from committing these crimes.

Specifically, Calvinho argued that Rouschop’s hernia “makes it too painful to have sex from behind, his stomach is too large, and his penis is way, way too small,” according to crime reporter Gary Dimmock of the National Post.

The lawyer for the 44-year-old alleged choker-rapist also called a registered nurse to the stand to testify that she had measured Rouschop and that he stands at five feet six inches, with a 66-inch waist, 31-inch thighs, and a one-inch penis (two inches when erect).

Jury members were also given naked photographs of Rouschop during the trial. The Ottawa Citizen reports that according to one of Rouschop’s alleged victims, Rouschop had paid her for oral sex, and when she refused to do more, he flipped her over and choked her — repeatedly asking “Who’s in charge now?” — until she passed out.

Rouschop’s other alleged victim testifies that when she refused to do more than oral sex, Rouschop choked her and raped her from behind, leading her to lose consciousness.

In her arguments, Calvinho is also highlighting the fact that Rouschop, a registered sex offender since 2005, was a prime suspect in the unsolved 2013 murder of sex worker Amy Paul. While he was never charged, “He believes he is the subject of a witch hunt,” Calvinho told the jury.

“I am the Personal Assistant to my pastor; we were organising our crusade, going out to paste crusade posters when my pastor called me to say he forgot something at home.

“He directed me to go to his house and bring some money. When I got there, I saw children playing and grabbed one of them. That was what happened.

“It is purely the handiwork of the devil. I don’t know what happened; all I know is that I am not happy with what is happening to me. I am calling on the parents and the police to have mercy on me. The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, said the robbery suspect would be charged to court with sodomy and stealing.

He said, “I am a mechanic. My parents are responsible people. It was bad friendship that made me to go into robbery. My friend had lured me to go out with him to attack those pedestrians. I rode the motorcycle that we used for the operation. Jelili (Babatunde) had a toy gun that we used in dispossessing people of their property.”

The police spokesperson, Badmos said the suspects would soon be charged to court.

Speaking with PUNCH Metro, Ijeoma said one of the suspects threatened to kill her if she disclosed the rape to anyone.

She said, “It was Uncle Kingsley (Oke) who first raped me. On that evening, he called me and said he would send me on an errand. When I went to his room, he immediately locked the door.

“I started begging him, but he forcefully carried me to his bed and raped me. On the second occasion, it was one man called Baba Ijebu that molested me. I had been sent to his house to collect an item.

“While in his house, he raped me. I cried, but he said I would die if I told anyone. The third man was Henry (Osadere). I don’t want to talk about it again.”

A 49-year-old man, yesterday, gave a graphic description of how he had been sleeping with his 15-year-old daughter in their Oko-Oba home in Abule-Egba area of Lagos State.

The suspect, Tony Ehumadu, who hails from Mbaise area of Imo State, was caught in the act by his wife, a Customs officer.

He admitted to have slept with his Junior Secondary School 1 daughter twice, adding that the first instance was under the influence of alcohol.

According to him, “I did the abominable act with my eldest daughter. But I only raped her twice. I don’t know what came over me. I am convinced that forces beyond me led me into committing the crime.

Both incidents happened on Fridays. One Friday night, one of my friends invited me to a naming ceremony around Power Line, New Oko-Oba. I came back home drunk but my wife was not around. All my children, except the eldest, were asleep.

Immediately, I rushed in and raped her. I did not meet her as a virgin. But the second time, my wife was at home.

That Friday night, we were all watching a movie, when I suddenly stood up and went straight into my daughter’s room and started raping her. It was at that point that my wife caught me and started shouting.

Stockbroker Accused Of Raping Woman Claims She Only Started Crying Because His ‘Penis’ Was So Large

A stockbroker accused of raping a woman after a cocaine fuelled night out insisted today the woman only started crying because his penis is so big.

Daniel Green, 26, claims he has a ten inch member with a four inch girth and has often had problems having sex in the past.

He allegedly attacked the 29-year-old after a night out in the City.

Green and his colleagues brought the alleged victim and her friend back to their StratX headquarters on the fourth floor of an office block near Monument for a wild bash.
But she crawled under a desk for a sleep until she was able to catch the first train home because she did not have enough money for a cab, the Old Bailey heard.

Green said he had ended up in the empty office because he had been looking for a place to charge his phone.

The stockbroker said he and the alleged victim complained about a friend who had ‘ruined the evening’ by claiming her cocaine had been stolen when in reality she just did not want to share.

He said they had consensual sex but she started crying because his 10? penis – which he claims is 4? in circumference – was just too large.

“She was touching me, she unbuttoned my shirt and she was touching me, also we were still kissing,” he said.

He claimed they had taken off all their clothes and were lying under a desk in the ‘spoons’ position when he tried to enter her.

“I’m kissing her neck, she’s putting her arm around me and at which point I tried to penetrate her with my penis.

“A which stage she rolled back, and at that point I saw a tear in on her face so I jumped back and I said ‘Oh f*** are you crying?’.

“I thought my penis was hurting her. I always have difficulty when it comes to having sex with girls, I find my penis is hard to penetrate females unless there is lube readily available.

“The last relationship I had we didn’t have sex a lot, if we did manage to do it would cause her pain and we wouldn’t be able to have sex for a few weeks.”

When asked how large his penis was he said it was 10? long and 4? in circumference.

Green made a ring with his fingers as he estimated his girth to the jury.

“I tried to penetrate her twice,” he said.

“She said: ‘Can you leave? Just leave, just go’.”

He said he grabbed his clothes and fled the office and that the whole incident had taken less than two or three minutes.

Green said that earlier in the evening while in a club he had asked the complainant if she was okay, saying ‘that’s just the kind of guy I am’.

In her evidence, the victim said: “I absolutely didn’t consent to sex with Daniel, it was rape and I was trying to get away.

“I didn’t shout out for someone to come and help me, my focus was in trying to get away.”

She estimated the whole incident lasted about a minute-and-a-half, and said Green had been making sexual noises during that time.

Prosecutor Timothy Forster told how the alleged victim and her friend were out in the City on Friday 15 May last year.

They met up with Green, who had been working for StratX for only a week, and his colleagues at a bar in the City.

The group had all been drinking and taking cocaine.

The alleged victim said she had drunk three glasses of red wine, taken three pinches of cocaine and one line of cocaine while out in the City.

In the early hours of Saturday morning one of the revellers suggested they should continue the party back at the StratX office, in Abchurch Lane, where the group continued drinking, taking cocaine and listening to music.

Jurors heard the complainant did not have her bank card or enough money for a cab and had decided to rest until she could catch the first train home. Laying in the foetal position under a desk when she felt Green grabbing at her legs before ripping off her trousers and knickers.

After the alleged attack, the complainant phoned a friend, who in turn called police.

But when officers arrived, Green had gone and was later tracked down at his home nearby.

Jurors heard he gave a prepared statement denying the alleged rape and made a similar statement in November last year.

Green, of Walthamstow, east London, denies a single charge of rape on May 16 last year.

The trial continues.

Pastor Accused Of Rape, Abortion Of 13 Teenagers Says, ‘I’ll Marry All The Girls’

THE General Overseer of Tongue of Fire Restoration, Chukwuma Nwkocha, who was accused of abduction, defilement and illegal termination of pregnancies for about 13 teenagers has defended himself.

The 34-year-old indigene of Imo State said he was only aware he slept with one of the girls, Kingdom, adding that he promised to marry the 17-year-old girl. He also said he might marry all the girls if that would bring about peace.

The pastor stated that the parents of the girl and some of his parishioners were aware of his relationship with the her. “I only slept with Kingdom and I have the intention of marrying her. I know she is much younger, but I have seen in the country that a 15-year- old girl got married to a grown up man and it was not a problem. Her parents were aware of our relationship but they are not aware that we were having sex.
According to him, “one Pastor Stephen carried out abortion for Kingdom, and told her that he was not in support. Stephen also said he asked Nwkocha if he slept with the other girls and if he was aware that about six of the girls were pregnant.

Responding, the Pastor said, “I didn’t not sleep with them, I only gave them shelter in my church. I was trying to be a good pastor. When I come to church, these girls would say that they wanted to come and spend weekend at my house. I kept on dodging them, but one day I was placed in a tight corner, when one of the girl’s mother came to me and said that they had accommodation problem.

“I could not have turned down her plea, but she persisted that her daughter could be with me, so I helped out and it turned out like that for everybody. I couldn’t help one and leave the other. I also trained them in school”, he stated.

He also argued that the girls were not found in his house, but in the church, which was where they stayed.

Fashion Designer Mobbed For Molesting Two-Year-Old Girl

A 28-year-old fashion designer, identified only as Ituah, has been beaten up by a mob on Mosaku Street, in the Oshodi area of Lagos State, for allegedly raping a two-year-old girl.

Our correspondent gathered that Ituah, who was later dragged to the Akinpelu Police Division, was caught by a neighbour while allegedly raping the victim. The neighbour reportedly alerted the girl’s mother.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the incident occurred on Sunday at about 5pm.

Our correspondent gathered that the girl’s mother, identified simply as Mrs. Ajibade, had gone to the toilet to urinate and left the girl in the corridor.

The victim was said to have gone to play with Ituah, who has a shop in front of the victim’s house, when the suspect allegedly raped her.

A neighbour reportedly caught the fashion designer and raised the alarm, which attracted a mob.

The mob reportedly beat up the suspect before dragging him to the police station.

Speaking with PUNCH Metro, the victim’s mother, Ajibade, a trader, said she left the girl in the corridor so that she would not play with electric appliances in the sitting room.

She said, “It was around 5pm on Sunday that the incident happened. We live in a face-me-I-face-you house. The suspect has a shop in front of our house.

I went to the toilet and returned without seeing my daughter in the corridor. I had left her in the corridor because I did not want her to play with electric sockets in the house.

When I came back, I could not find her. I did not know she was with the fashion designer. When my girl was brought from the shop, she just pointed to her private parts and cried, ‘Ituah, Ituah’.

That was how I examined her pants and discovered that she had been raped.

We were at the Mirabel Centre on Monday for a checkup. She is gradually responding to treatment.

The suspect’s family members are putting pressure on us. We do not want any case on the matter.”

Our correspondent learnt that after Ituah was mobbed, the matter was also brought to the attention of a non-governmental organisation in the area, Child Protection Network, which facilitated his movement to the police station.

The CPN coordinator in the Oshodi area, Ebenezer Omejalile, said the suspect confessed to have inserted his fingers into the two-year-old’s private parts, but denied raping her.

He said, “The suspect denied having an intercourse with the girl. He was the only one in the shop. He later told the girl’s mother that he only inserted his fingers into the girl’s private parts.”

The shop is closed down as we speak. The suspect has been moved from the division to the command headquarters.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed Ituah’s arrest. She said, “He is in custody at the gender unit of the command headquarters. Investigation is ongoing into the matter.”

Catholic Priest Faces Fresh Charge Over 10-Year-Old Girl’s Rape

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command, yesterday, said it had concluded plans to dock a Catholic priest, Reverend Father Anthony Ochigbo, before an Abuja High Court over allegation that he raped a 10-year-old girl.

The Officer-in-Charge of Legal Matters at the Command, Mr. James Idachaba, made the disclosure after he applied and withdrew an initial one-count rape charge Police entered against the priest before an Abuja Upper Area Court at Gudu.

The Upper Area court judge, Alhaji Umar Kagarko, had on Monday, remanded Rev. Ochigbo in prison custody, even as he adjourned ruling on the defendant’s application for bail.

However, at the resumed sitting, the prosecuting counsel, Chief Superintendent of Police, Mr. Idachaba, persuaded the Upper Area Court judge to hands off the matter for a higher court to take over the trial.

Idachaba, who anchored his application on Section 106 of Administration of Criminal Justice Act, ACJA, 2015, stressed that the Upper Area Court was bereft of the requisite jurisdiction to handle the case.

The prosecution told the court that it was the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), that okayed the transfer of the matter to a higher court.

Despite objection by the defence counsel, Mr. Godwin Chukwukere, the court acceded to the withdrawal request.

The judge said he had no option than to strike out the initial First Information Report before him and discharge the defendant.

Nevertheless, the priest is still in police detention awaiting his arraignment before the high court.

Bhollywood Director Convicted Of Rape, Faces Seven Years To Life In Prison

Indian film-maker Mahmood Farooqui has been found guilty of raping an American research student at his Delhi home in March 2015.
Farooqui, who co-directed the 2010 release Peepli Live, with his wife Anusha Rizvi, faces seven years to life I’m prison, according to the Indian Express. The court is slated to hear arguments Tuesday before sentencing him.

The case first came to light when the victim, who was a student from Columbia University, filed a police complaint which led to Farooqui’s arrest last June. He was later released on bail as the case went to trial in September.

The case is seen as a landmark as its verdict has been delivered under a 2013 amendment to the criminal law which included forced oral sex as a crime, the complainant’s counsel Vrinda Grover told the Express.

“This is perhaps one of the first cases of forced oral sex, which shows two things: that there was a crime for which we did not earlier have an offense named, now it has been recognized as rape. We’re also very happy to see that the court relied on very credible evidence that the woman gave.”

The brutal gang-rape of a young Delhi woman on a moving bus in New Delhi on December 16, 2012 sparked nationwide protests. The outcry led to a call for action against crimes against women which included legal amendments and fast-tracking rape cases.

Farooqui was first introduced to the student, who is in her thirties, by Danish Hussain, a long-time friend of the director. Local reports said that Hussain, in his testimony, said that the victim immediately contacted him after she was assaulted by Farooqui.

According to the Express, the 2012 incident was also referred to in the testimony of the American woman who told the court that she “did not resist” the rape because she feared she would also be killed like the Delhi gang-rape victim.

Farooqui is expected to appeal the verdict and the case could go to a higher court.

“Our fight for justice is by no means over,” his wife Anusha Rizvi told the Hindustan Times. “We will approach the High Court for justice that has been denied to us.”

No fewer than 13 rape victims have been treated at Funtua General Hospital in Katsina State from January to date, the hospital’s Medical Director, Tijjani Bakori, has said.

Mr. Bakori told the News Agency of Nigeria in an interview on Thursday in Funtua that most of the cases were severe.

He disclosed that some of the victims had to undergo surgery in the hospital.

The medical director lamented that three of the rape victims were admitted by the hospital in the last four days.

“This signifies the magnitude of the problem in Funtua and environs, and it is important for all stakeholders to intensify efforts to address the menace.”

According to him, all the victims were below the age of 13 and mostly from less privileged families.

He noted that there was no presence of International and National Non Governmental Organizations in the area to support the victims, noting that respective families of the victims were left to shoulder the burden.

He urged the Katsina State Government and local councils in the area to ensure that the perpetrators were traced and severely punished.

“A victim was admitted on Monday, and another, aged 12, had undergone surgery in the hospital on Wednesday because of the severe injuries she sustained,’’ Bakori said.

Nigerian-Born Son Of A New Jersey Minister Kicked Out Of School For Alleged Rape Reinstated

They both played football for Temple University and got accused of raping women they met on campus, but that’s where the similarities between Praise Martin-Oguike and Bill Cosby end.
Martin-Oguike, a Nigerian-born son of a New Jersey minister, was kicked off the team and out of school in 2012 after a woman accused him of assaulting her in a dorm room.
Evidence  that the encounter was anything but consensual was so lacking that a prosecutor later dropped charges, but Martin-Oguike found that counted for little at the Philadelphia school.

“I was just trying to prove my innocence,” Martin-Oguike, who missed the 2012 and 2013 seasons as be fought to clear his name, told “There were times where people were negative, trying to give me different scenarios and how I could be sent to jail for a long time. And being black, the odds were against me.”

Martin-Oguike, a 6-foot, 2-inch, 255-pound defensive lineman, rejoined his Owls teammates for the 2014 season, and just completed a 10-3 season that culminated in a bowl game. Some believe Martin-Oguike even has a shot at the NFL, a dream that if realized, would be testament to his tenacity.

Martin-Oguike’s nightmare began in May of 2012 when he was arrested after a senior at Temple accused him of raping her inside his dorm room. Martin-Oguike, who grew up in Woodbridge, N.J., and had never been in trouble with the law, claimed the sex was consensual.

But the school moved quickly, revoking his scholarship and expelling him. He missed the 2012 season, moved back home and wondered if the clock had run out on his future. The next season, while his former teammates were laboring toward a brutal 2-10 record, Martin-Oguike was preparing to stand trial and facing prison time.

As jury selection was about to begin in October 2013, the Philadelphia district attorney’s office suddenly announced it was dropping charges due to a lack of evidence.

“Upon further investigation, it was determined there wasn’t enough evidence to proceed to trial,” Tasha Jamerson, a spokeswoman for the district attorney, said at the time.

But the jury was still out on Martin-Oguike’s future at Temple. He was forced to plead his case for reinstatement before a board comprised of students and faculty, and his accuser, who was well known on campus, remained adamant that she had been raped.

“The student conduct process is an internal university administrative process that is independent of the criminal process,” a spokesman for Temple University said in a written statement. “The resolution of a criminal matter does not resolve a student conduct matter.”

Martin-Oguike prevailed, and insists he harbors no ill-will toward the school.

“They did not know me as a person and they had a process. They were just doing what they had to,” he said.

As he approaches his final season next year, Martin-Oguike said he has heard of potential interest from various NFL teams for the 2017 draft.

“I’d like to go to whoever pays the most,” he joked when asked where he would like to play before giving his real choice.

“I would like to play for the [New York] Jets,” he said. “They are close to home and have a lot of connections to Temple.”

ISIS Throws Syrian Teenage Boy Off A Roof For Being Gay But The ISIS Chief Who Raped Him Is Spared

Militants of the Islamic State (ISIS) executed a teenage boy by throwing him off a roof in Syria’s eastern city of Deir ez-Zor for being gay, local sources reported on Friday.
The 15-year-old boy was arrested by ISIS militants on charges of homosexuality and he was thrown from the top of a building in central Deir ez-Zor.

“The horrific execution took place in front of a large crowd,” a local media activist and an eyewitness told ARA News in Deir ez-Zor.

An informed source reported that the victim was captured “in the house of an ISIS leader” earlier on Thursday.

“The boy was accused of being engaged in a homosexual relation with the prominent ISIS officer Abu Zaid al-Jazrawi,” media activist Sarai al-Din told ARA News.

While the boy was executed, Abu Zaid was expelled to Iraq after being deprived of his position.

“Abu Zaid was forced to leave Syria and join the fighting fronts in northwestern Iraq. The decision has been taken by the ISIS leadership,” al-Din said.

According to pro-ISIS sources, the Sharia Court in Deir ez-Zor had demanded the execution of Abu Zaid for being homosexual, but the ISIS top commanders insisted to let him join the battlefronts in Iraq instead, as the group has been recently exposed to heavy losses in battles both in Syria and Iraq.

Rex Showunmi: The Big Issue; A Weekend Rave on Rape

Somehow on Saturday 28th November, I “ran” into the latest  Nigerian talk show in town, TVC’s The Big Issue hosted by Oba Adeoye. Coincidentally, or rather deliberately, the debate issue was the same subject-matter that raved the Internet last week. The Rape issue. As with all debates there were two sides: One side led by a female Psychologist  held the agelong behavioural “dog and meat” psychology. The argument seem tilted to the campaign that stopping Indecent dressing may mean stopping rape. After all,  once you throw the meat the dog must chase. To stop the dog from chasing you may have to stop throwing the meat.

And the other side, championed by popular Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola were more logical : Rape is Rape. Indecent dressing is wrong but we cannot finger it for rape cases. They were in line with the popular maxim: “there are no words for rape, only sentences.”

As for the audience, by the questions they asked and their “body language”, they seemed more inclined to the psychological argument over the logical one. However, this psychological principle didn’t start today, it’s root is in the theory of causality. Thus, we cannot  dismiss it as illogical, it has a point. Only that it has failed to solve many issues. If Indecent dressing is the major motivating factor for rape then the Western World should have more rape incidents than anywhere else in the world.

Stats reveals that South Africa records up to 500, 000 “reported” rape cases every year while UK has 85,000 rapes a year. When you connect that to the recent Xenophobia incident, you get a clearer picture.

Presumably, we know what to blame for rape. In one word : Savagery! It’s a pre-logic state of the mind.   Indecent dressing or not, it has more of an internal locus of control than external. You’ll understand the point better when you hear the numbers of rape cases churning out of states like Kano.

Truth be told, if all women agree to help men by wearing blankets, it’d only be a matter of time… Blankets would seem like “see throughs” for “pathological” rapists. Many rapists can undress a woman through with their eyes. Psycho-Cybernetics? The triggers  of vices {after they have matured in the mind of the perpetrator} is more internal than external. They are relatively automated.

Something very similar is the idea of terrorism. Terrorists start with eating offending cows, later their appetite grow bigger. Any unholy cow becomes the preferred beef  for his sumptuous banquet. Until they graduate to start feasting on the sacred cows itself. Cow is cow, brother. Bring them on. As in, they never repent!

I remember when the Charlie Hebdo incident happened in Paris, while many countries condemned the attacks, some others raised the #IamNotCharlieHebdo hashtag. They did so with the behavioural “dog and meat” argument. Their body language or body odour was clear. Those guys deserved what they got for their heresy. I mean how can you speak ill of the holy fellowship? And those boys, no need for remorse, they saw your  hashtag.

Later on, they came back… for more blood…. The #ParisAttack happened. When the news came, I pinged a friend – one of the #IamNotCharlieHebdo guy- to ask him if those who died in the attack were drawing satirical, offensive cartoons at the concert? He went mute. “Ani ki a ba ole wi eyin ni pe enikan careless.”

The truth of the matter is that a vice is a vice and should be vehemently condemned irrespective of what led to it. So my parting for Oba Adeoye and many of us who over exaggerate the “back to your shell” solution is simple. Let’s face it, If all women move about nude it would never “assist” a rapist in proving ANY point. No words, only sentences.

He is already some inches into me. I wriggled my waist severally to free myself from the grip but the more I do that the deeper he gets so I resigned to fate, at least the pain will stop.

Jide had invited me to his room on a Friday afternoon. Everyone in the compound had gone out. His mother and siblings had traveled for the Christmas holiday and he would be joining them the following day. He had come home to see me if not he would have gone straight from his school. But he came to me because the last time we saw was two months ago when he came home to get some foodstuff and hiss stipend. I had seen him off to the park. He looked at me and expressed his love for me the umpteenth time. Even though I felt he was lying I still took him serious; a brilliant young undergraduate for that matter, saying he loves a fresh school leaver like myself.

“I am telling you the truth; I don’t like those campus girls. They are just too hypocritical for me”, he would say each time he saw that I wasn’t really taking his words seriously. How could I have taken those sweet nothings seriously? Many times, I have seen him in an uncompromising state with different ladies. Pictures don’t lie.

Everybody says I have a figure of a full grown woman with the right curves and shape. But I don’t see all of those. They even say my pretty face will give any beauty queen a run for whatever she may profess but I still don’t see that. I have many years ahead of me. I am looking forward to writing JAMB in few months and I must get myself prepared for what lies ahead. Jide showed interest in my study as he assumed the role of an advisor. Thanks to my parents as they would always call him in to seek one clarification or the other concerning my choice course of study and the institutions that offer the programme.

“I will suggest she goes for Mass Communication as I can tell she likes broadcasting”. He must have eavesdropped on my conversation with my friends one of those times we would argue why one course of study is better than the other. I have always loved broadcasting. Each time I see Abike Dabiri on the NTA network I always wanted to be like her.  Then when Adesuwa Oyenukwe comes on, nothing compares to the joy I feel on the inside: For me it is broadcasting.

“Why don’t you go to Jide anytime you have issues filling your form. He is your brother anyway”, my mother would say. Jide would smile and half-prostrate then leave for the room and a parlour self-contain at the backyard that he lives with his mother and siblings. My parents, 6 siblings I occupied a makeshift two room but originally one room in the face-me-I-face-you tenement in Ijora Badia Area.

The life I see around me is not what I am proud of. I never want such a life. But what can I do if that’s where life itself says that is where my life will start from. The only thing I can do is to better my life through acquiring good education. I don’t want a life in the slum.

Brother Jide as I used to call him is God-sent. Always. Ready to help. Always. We got closer and closer. His tutelage gave me an hedge over my peers and some of them would even beg me to meet him but I hoarded the knowledge. I looked forward to attending a university anxiously. “I would not be like any of those campus girls at all”, I would tell my mentor. “Brother Jide, tell me what it is like on campus?” and my lover would load me with stories of gigs he attended in company of girls. This one wants him. That one wants him. I started getting jealous especially when my friends started showing interest in meeting him. He must be hot I accepted eventually. But how does one determine human hotness? My naivety would not allow me decipher such.

“Anytime we are together don’t call me Brother jor, you make me feel like a paedophile”.

“Paedophile: old men that take advantage of young girls. Or. Am I?”

“Taking advantage of me? No! I love you!”

“I love you too”.

Jide moved closer to me and tried to plant his lips on mine but I drew back.

“What is it?” He breathed into his palm just as many toothpaste ads suggest for a breath-check. “Do I have a bad breath?” he asked.

“Not at all!”

“Then what?!”

“I don’t know how”

“Adijaaaaat! “ he rolled over to the other side as he laughed. “You want to tell me you haven’t done this or more before?”

“No, I haven’t .  I am a virgin”

“It’s a lie?!”, he snouted.

“I am telling you the truth”

He looked at me with much astonishment written all over his face. He only moved closer and held me as both of us kept quiet for a while.

“Then I will love you forever”, he broke the silence. Just at that point a knock came at the door then we both rushed to the sitting room and feigned study-mode before he got the door. I still have my long dress and hijab intact. My father would not allow any of his girls leave the house without observing the Islam usance.  My elder sister would even walk into the bathroom all decked, though my two younger sisters enjoy clemency while I am a bit flexible in my coverings. That’s why I usually doubt the judgment of anyone that says they see beyond the thick cover.

“I will be going back to school in two days time:”, my lover told me at our rendezvous. A pavement just outside of the compound. Anyone sits here but we would be the last to leave the arena; sometimes we would be there till very late in the night and since it is just by the side of the building and since it is Brother Jide and Adijat there is no problem. My father would even greet and walk through us into the house anytime he comes back from his séances. As far as anyone is concerned both of us are safe in each other’s company. It is Brother Jide we are talking about. He is the same age as my elder brother. The only boy in my family. Sule is not given to too much study so he couldn’t put me through like Jide and my elder sister will be writing the forthcoming GCE, in fact, we enrolled together.

Just as we both went in for the night, Jide pulled me to himself immediately he bolted the door behind us and like a ballerina dancer I collapsed into his waiting arms. He kissed me. I responded. It was sweet. I liked it.

The next morning, I couldn’t look straight into his face. He stood in their living room; his usual stand point. He watched me as I carried by bath water into the bathroom. I held on to the tip of my wrapper with my left hand as I  carried the bucket tilting more to my right like a Shylock scale will outsmart whatever that is just. He smiled and I gently returned the smile without looking up his direction. My father was at the backyard performing his ablution. His mother was watching clothes by the window. A neighbour was in the kitchen just by the bathroom and my youngest sister was having her bath outside by the bed of the tap. Nobody saw what was going on. It was just an even for two lovebirds. Just the two of us.

I can’t wait for everyone to go their ways. I can’t wait for the night to come. I can’t wait for the rendezvous. Seated on the pavement under the moonlight by the side of the house at the entrance of Iya Muti’s beer parlour. I can’t wait for Jide to latch the door…

“I will be going very early tomorrow. I have an assignment to submit by 4pm”, my lover dropped and I looked forlorn.

“How long will you be gone for?”

“I can’t tell”

The forlornness became more amplified. I imagined what one of those girls would do with Jide if they had a taste of his lips. They would be willing and ready for him unlike me. I am not ready to go beyond what happens behind the latched doors. Our Imam had taught us it is dignifying to yield our hymen to our man alone.

“I hope you will not go kissing every girl in your school?” I eventually joked but I meant it. For real.

“I swear they are just my friends. I don’t deal more than friendship”, he defended.

Everybody had gone in. We must go in also but not until my father returned from mosque. He is usually the last person that comes home late. Before now he was the one that latches the door but these past few days the onus has fallen on Jide and I. Just as expected, he came back from the mosque and few minutes after Jide latched the door. Ordinarily, I would have walked out of the darkness to go wait for him under the light but I stood close to him as he fastened the final bolt  then I offered him myself. Just my lips. He took it further and cupped by breasts and groped my body. I moaned. He held me close to himself and we were there for some time. We only broke away, hurriedly when we heard footsteps. My father wanted to perform his final ablution for the day. He does that every night after his dinner.

The next morning I heard his movement in the passage. But this time he knocked on our door to inform my mom he is leaving for school. It is my message.

The long wait began.

His mother would only return to give his warm regards to my mom as he had called her office from a NITEL phone in his school. I remembered one thing he would buy in surplus were NITEL phone cards. Each time she gave the message I knew by extension it was for me.

Then he came back home. A month after he left. The school has been shut down indefinitely following a violent protest by students against purported hike in school fees. “What do you mean by indefinite closure?”, my mother had asked him as he stepped into the backyard where everyone was seated.

“It means we would only go back to school whenever the school authority deems fit”, he responded with his bright eyes glowing even in the dark. His mother received him into her waiting arms. He is sure a mummy’s boy. His siblings love and admire him. He is brilliant. His friends mill around him for his warmth and large heartedness. He is love by everybody.

“Adijat, when is your exam?”, he asked.

My heart leapt, “it is some weeks away”, I managed to answer.

“When exactly?!”, my mouther shouted.

“3 weeks”.

“I am available anytime. Let’s hope the school authority will allow me stay around through the period”, he walked into their parlour and shut the net behind him but I can see him beyond the door.  What a glow moment I got back into my life.

“Are you still intact?”, Jide asked me the next day we met.

“As ever!”, I smiled as I presented him loads of poetry I have composed even though I  considered them arrhythmical, they are straight songs  from my heart. He laughed and presented his own rhythm:

Who Says…

Who says love have eyes!

I have seen a sepia

Fallen for a negroid

The mighty

Walking like a dove

In the presence of the weak.

The richest

Who is meant to be riding

On the high horse of pride

But strolling in the miry

With a pariah.

Where does this feeling come from?

I wonder as I see

A little cherubim

Am archer

Firing his arrows indiscriminately

Each arrow hitting a twosome

Opposite sex.

A beautiful woman clapping at the corner

And I asked why so happy at this shot

She says…

I am venus and that is Cupid my son

A perfect archer though blind.

To My Heart

Dearer to my heart

As I go far

Nearer to my mind

As I draw nigh

Priceless to my soul

An invaluable treasure

That you are

For I know

Amor Vinceit Omnia-

Love conquers all.

I read those words and all the virtues in me flew. I wanted to hold him. I held the papers dear to me and hid them where even rats could not locate. They are the first love notes I got from my lover. I have received love letters before. Quite a few. From those young boys that would not get their daily feed if they don’t wash plates in their mother’s kitchen. These were matured lines from a matured man compare to those lines skewed from Mills and Boons then mixed with R&B lyrics diluted with some Hispanic Calypso then laced with Reggae from the golden era through to the new age. You can tell such watery compositions from the mixes and the remixes. What Jide gave me was straight from the heart. Original!

Jide put me through my study. Most times we used their living room. His sibling would be there at times. We would only go beyond the veil if no one is in the house. We would use the inner room.  My exams went well and the result would come sometime later in the year. I would have to wait. We would have to wait.

“You know it is high time we lay ourselves.”

“Lay ourselves?”

“I want to have you.”

“Not yet”

“Maybe when I gained admission by that time you would have rounded up your study and married me.”, I told my lover but he went cold. I rubbed his body to calm him as that is what we resorted to each time he wanted me. I watch him shower many times and he watched me too. He said that would help both of us. The first time I went full nude before him, I covered my private and my tiny breasts with my hands but he made me comfortable telling me how beautiful my body is. He made me realize I wouldn’t need the padded bra I have always worn. He likes lacy instead. I exhibited confidence more and more anytime we were together and he had helped administered some ointment around my private at different times. We were discreet. Nobody ever saw our shadows not to talk of our physicality to be in a compromising state. What they could only say is that we held hands.

“My mom too never believed I am still a virgin”

“How do I believe you are telling the truth if I don’t test it?”

“If you would try it then I won’t be a virgin anymore”

“I will be gentle…”, he mounted me, held me down under his weight.

“Noooo! I don’t want….”

“Don’t shout”, he covered my mouth to the point of asphyxiation, he firmed his grip on my hands. He held both of my hands with his left arm pinned to my head by holding few strands of my hair. Altogether, I couldn’t move a muscle around my upper region. He spread my legs with his legs and he went in. Few inches into me I felt dripping moisture from my private. I wriggled and wriggled hoping that I will eject him out of me but he spread my legs the more as he leaned the more on me. I only stopped when I saw that the more I wriggled the deeper he got. Finally, he came out and wet my navel with his water.

I wept!

The clot of blood and water on the bedspread demoralized me gravely.

Pain enveloped my whole being. I felt useless. My ego is bruised. My priceless pearl has been cheaply sought. Trampled. Thrashed.

He said he is sorry. He should respect me. My nay is not aye!

Few days later, I explained what happened to my sister as she noticed my broodiness. Surprisingly, she wasn’t alarmed.

“Just keep it to yourself, it’s a mundane”, she dispassionately consoled. I watched her as she walked out of the room. She must have lost her virginity in her efflorescence. Even to a savage.

Indonesia: Man Kills Wife’s Rapist, Chops Off His Penis, Cooks And Eats It

A newly-wed Indonesian couple have been arrested over claims they dined on the genitals of the woman’s suspected rapist after her husband allegedly murdered him and cut off his private parts, police said on Tuesday.

According to the AFP, the victim’s body was found in a burnt-out van after a suspected revenge attack sparked by claims from the new wife she was raped a week before her wedding on Sumatra island.

The husband, 30-year-old Rudi Efendi, has admitted murdering the man after discovering his wife was not a virgin on their wedding night in September and being told of the alleged rape, but insists he acted alone.

“I was so outraged,” Efendi told reporters after his arrest last month, adding that deciding to eat the victim’s genitals was “to cure my heartache”.

Police say that after murdering the man, Efendi took home the victim’s severed genitals, ordered his 20-year-old wife to cook them, and the pair then ate them together.

The victim was a driver, whom the wife used to date.

Sulistyaningsih, a local police spokeswoman who goes by one name, told AFP, “The case is still under investigation but we strongly suspect that this is a premeditated murder.”

The husband is accused of carrying out the murder, while police believe the wife acted as an accomplice.

The victim was found dead in early October in a burnt-out van in Tulangbawang district, Lampung province. Police later arrested Efendi and his wife.

Efendi had ordered his wife to contact the victim and set up a meeting, according to police. But when the victim arrived, he found only Efendi, who then allegedly stabbed him to death, cut off his genitals and set the vehicle on fire.

Lampung Police chief Brig. Gen. Edward Syah Pernong said that when Rudi’s wife Nency heard about the discovery of an unidentified body in a burned-out black Daihatsu Xenia in Penumangan Lama village, West Tulangbawang Regency, on Oct. 4, she believed the body could be that of her missing husband.

“Nency recognized the burned-out car as the one her husband drove in his work as a chauffeur for a travel agency,” Edward said, as quoted by on Monday.

Police Arrest Evangelist Over Rape Of 13-years-old Girl

The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested an evangelist alleged to have raped a 13-year-old girl in Marraraba, Karu Local Government area of the state.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Sani Mohammed, told newsmen on Monday in Lafia, that the suspect was invited to stay with the girl’s family in Marraraba, based on trust, but abused the privilege by forcefully having carnal knowledge of the minor.

“It is unfortunate that the Pastor took advantage of his closeness to a family among his congregation to rape their 13-year-old daughter,” he said.

The Commissioner, who claimed that the suspect had confessed to committing the crime, said that the evangelist had earlier told investigators that he was trying to remove demons from the girl.

“This man was believed to be a man of God by the family but used the advantage of his said position and proximity to the family to rape the 13-year-old girl,” he lamented.

Mohammed said that investigation had been concluded on the matter and the suspect would soon be charged to court.

Tears Flow As Transgender Woman Is Sent To An All-Men’s Prison

A transgender woman and a makeup artist, Tara Hudson, 26, has been sent to a men’s prison in a move her mother says will endanger and humiliate her.

Tara has lived as a woman all her adult life and has gone through six years of gender reconstruction surgery.

Magistrates sent Tara, who admitted to a bar assault on Boxing Day last year, to a male prison because her passport says she is still a male. Her mum, Jackie, said there’s nothing male about her and she feels the men are going to go after her. .
She says Tara’s doctor has even confirmed that she is now a woman. Tara was sentenced to 12 weeks inside the tough all-male Bristol prison.

She said: “There’s nothing male about her, nobody would know the difference. She looks like a woman. She’s gorgeous.

“We think it’s totally outrageous. I don’t think she will cope well at all. I just feel the men are going to go after her. It’s going to be humiliating.”

Tara was born Aaron. Jackie has now written to the court and the prison governor in a bid to overturn the decision, Bristolpost reports.

She says she just wants to get her daughter into a safe, female environment where she belongs and she will continue to fight the decision. She says her daughter still has the vestige remains of a penis, despite having 34EE breasts.

She said the hormone treatment has shrunken Tara’s manhood and she’s due to have it removed at some point. Tara regularly gets abuse for her gender status and is on a hormone replacement course as well as medication for depression.

Man Sentenced To Life In Prison, Plus 230 Years For Kidnapping And Sexually Assaulting A 10 Year Old Girl

A 34-year-old man was sentenced to prison on Thursday for kidnapping a 10-year-old girl from her bed in Northridge and sexually assaulting her.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Tobias Summers was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus an additional 230 years.
The victim chose to speak out against Summers after he entered the courtroom in shackles.

“It was not right,” she said. “No one should ever have to go through that.”

Jurors found Summers guilty of 32 felony counts including rape of a child, aggravated sexual assault, possession of child pornography, kidnapping and first-degree burglary.

On March 27, 2013, he allegedly chose the victim’s house at random, threatened the young girl with a knife and then repeatedly sexually assaulted her in his car, a drainage tunnel, a storage yard and a vacant house, according to Deputy District Attorney Laura Knight.

Authorities located the victim nearly 12 hours later, at the corner of Canoga Avenue and Oxnard Street in Woodland Hills.

According to prosecutors, she was barefoot and had visible injuries when she was found.

A defense attorney for Summers said he will appeal the court’s decision.

Children’s Football Coach At Chelsea Repeatedly Raped School Girl Atleast 15 Times

A children’s coach at Chelsea repeatedly raped a 12-year-old girl at their training centre in Surrey, a court has heard.

Shane Hughes, 31, allegedly abused the girl 15 times over four months in a physiotherapy room, where she was supposed to be getting treatment for a knee injury.

Prosecutor John Livingstone told the court that the first attack happened after he told her to take her clothes off and get on the massage table.

Mr Livingstone added: ‘She said “No, what is happening?” He then pushed her back on the massage table and told her not to scream and, though she did, he put his hands over her mouth and forced her clothes off.’

It alleged that he raped the girl and forced her to perform a sex act, Kingston Crown Court heard.

Hughes, who is the Premier League club’s children’s coach, is said to have carried out the offence in 2011 at their training headquarters in Cobham, Surrey.

The girl is now 16 years old, and Hughes is facing 14 counts of rape in relation to a child under the age of 13. He however denied raping her while the case was adjourned for continuation.

British Woman Raped In Turkey Gets An Apology From The Rapist On Facebook

A British holidaymaker, Fern Westland, 20, claims she was raped on a beach by a waiter, who then apologised on Facebook.  Fern said she had befriended Sabri Demir during her stay in Alanya in Turkey last month. But she says the holiday turned to horror when he dragged her on to a beach and subjected her to a sustained sex attack, the Daily Record reports .

Fern said: “I want him off the streets to make sure he can’t target any other women like me.”

Fern said she was left further shaken when Demir messaged her, admitting the attack and even apologising.

She said she is too traumatised to leave her home in Fife.
She said:

“We had been at a local restaurant called Brothers and had been introduced to the owner’s brother and his friend, who agreed to show my friends and I to a club. “Everything had been fine until Sabri got drunk and started touching me inappropriately.

“I told my friends I wanted to leave the club as I didn’t want to be anywhere near him but he insisted on grabbing a lift home with us.”

Fern said her friend had gone into their hotel opposite the beach when she was attacked.
She said:

“Sabri grabbed me from behind and slammed his hand over my mouth. “I couldn’t breathe and was trying to push him off me but he dragged me along the sand before holding me down and raping me. “I was trying to scream but he just kept telling me to shut up.

“I was terrified and couldn’t breathe, I knew I had to get away from him. I was afraid I was going to die. “Then I managed to get him off me and I ran to my friend in the hotel.”

Fern claimed that hours later, Demir began to send her messages on FB. She said he told her:

“I’m really sorry. I don’t know why I did that. Please forgive me.”

Sabri Demir

Traumatised Fern only felt safe enough to talk to police when she returned to Scotland a week later.

She said: “I went in to complete shock. I was so afraid of having to fly home alone, I just kept quiet until we returned. Since then, the police have come to see me several times and have taken a statement. “They have taken pictures of my bruises on my body and are going to contact the Turkish authorities.”

Fern added: “I want something done about him. I know it happened in a different country and I know it may be a long process.”
Detective Sergeant Calum Lawrie, of Fife’s public protection unit, said: “On Thursday, 8 October, we received a report of the serious sexual assault of a 20-year-old woman that took place in Turkey on Friday, 25 September.

“We are conducting initial inquiries and all the information gathered will be provided to the Turkish authorities for them to progress the investigation.”

When Daily Record contacted Demir on Facebook, Demir replied:

“Sorry, I am so sorry. I did not do anything. I have not had sex with her.”

He then contacted Fern on Facebook, writing:

“Sorry. I am so sorry. “Why are you complaining about me? Why are you complaining to me for sex? You really did not complain to me.” “I don’t have sex with you.”

Fern demanded that Demir admit what he had done.
He responded: “I don’t have sex with you. No, just kiss you. “I’m not afraid.”

Nigerian Student Beaten To Death For Allegedly Attempting To Rape A Lady Inside An Elevator

A yet to be identified Nigerian student in Malaysia has reportedly been beaten to death for attempting to rape a lady inside an elevator in a service apartment on September 23rd.

Malaysia’s newspaper, Malaymail online, reports that the Nigerian student was mobbed by residents of the service apartment after the victim raised an alarm.

The police was called in and the Nigerian student was taken to the police station with injuries on the right side of his head, and had scratch marks on his legs and hand. He later died at the police station.

“We received a call from the security manager of the apartment who informed us of the incident. When police arrived at 8.20 pm, the suspect was surrounded by 20 to 30 people and his hands were tied. UNICAL Prof suspended over alleged rape of student

The Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Calabar, Prof. Cyril Ndifon, accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old 400-level student in his office was yesterday suspended by the panel instituted by the school’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Ivara Esu.

Professor Ndifon, who is the first professor of Law from Cross River State, was briefly arrested and detained by the police and later released on Wednesday before he was suspended yesterday evening by the panel set up to investigate him.

The professor was accused by mother of the victim, Mrs. Irene Akpan, in a letter sent to the university, alleging that the incident happened between 3 and 5pm on August 29 at the dean’s private office on the top floor of the faculty building.

According to the lady, Professor Ndifon forcibly had sex with her daughter after a fierce struggle. The school authorities confirmed receipt of complaints from the victim, while the police also affirmed it but was quick to add that the matter was undergoing thorough investigation.

Narrating her daughter’s ordeal, Mrs Akpan explained that the dean had set a one-hour test for the students on that Saturday, assigning two lecturers to carry out the supervision.

She alleged that 20 minutes to the end of allotted time, Ndifon entered the hall and ordered the students to stop writing.

She said while the students were preparing to submit their answer sheets, Ndifon approached her daughter, tore her answer sheet and left the shreds on the seat.

Mrs. Akpan said: “He walked straight to my daughter’s desk, collected the script and tore it. He left the torn script on her seat, so the girl collected the pieces and put them in her bag. According to her, you will still have to pass through the faculty before leaving the building.

“She said as they were leaving, the dean accosted her again and asked if she still had the shredded script, she said yes. He instructed her to follow him to the general dean’s office to recopy the answers on another plain sheet, which she did.”

“The unsuspecting girl followed him to the general office where two people were, including the dean’s secretary. The office of the dean is on the first floor of the building, according to my daughter.

“She said while writing in that office, the dean who had earlier gone out, came in again and instructed her to follow him to his private office on the second floor so that she could comfortably use the table.”

The victim’s mother said five minutes after getting to his private office, the dean locked the door, concealed the key and started making advances, adding that they struggled but Ndifon subdued her and had sex with the girl.

She said her daughter was later taken to Airport Police Station, along IBB Way in Calabar, where she gave statement and also had medical examinations at the police clinic.

The Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr. Effiong Eyo, said the institution was seriously looking into the matter.

“A panel has been set up to look into the matter. The authorities are looking seriously into it,” Eyo said.

Also, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Hogan Bassey, said the command was investigating the case.

He said: “The case of rape or sexual assault requires discreet investigation and we have to handle it with care.”

BIZARRE: Man Gives Primary 3 Daughter N10 Tip After Rape

Emeka Igwe, 41-year-old father, did not only rape his daughter, but also got her addicted to masturbation.

It was gathered that anytime Ngozi felt sexual urge and her father was not around to stimulate her, she would invite boys into her parents’ apartment in the Federal Housing Estate, Meiran, Ojokoro, Lagos State, to “play with her private parts”.

Reports gather that the victim’s mother first detected the act in January, 2015, and after reporting to policemen at the Ojokoro Police Division, the case was dismissed as a family matter.

The police reportedly threatened to detain her, while her husband’s family accused her of inciting her four children against their family.

Emeka, a trader, allegedly continued to defile his daughter in their apartment until August, when the matter got to the attention of the estate executive.

The Orlu, Imo State indigene, was apprehended and reported to the Project Alert on Violence against Women, a non-governmental organisation, from where the case got to the Area F Police Command.

Ngozi, who is in primary 3, said that her father had been assaulting her since 2014.

She explained that after inserting his fingers into her private parts, he would press her head down and force his manhood into her mouth, adding that he always gave her N10 after the act.

The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Oluwole Amusan, confirmed this on Wednesday.

The university don explained that the institution decided to take the step because the management was moved by the plight of the girl, who was allegedly raped in the course of her quest for a university education.

The VC said, “Giving out scholarships to indigent students is not new to us. Our founder had a foundation whose existence preceded the university, through which scholarships were given to students.

“Since the university was established four years ago, the tradition has continued.”

According to the VC, the scholarship would cover the four-year duration of Mass Communication, which the girl has chosen to study, a course which UNILAG has said she was not qualified for with her 211 score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

He said it has not been determined whether the scholarship would be full or partial since he had not yet interacted with the father of the victim.

With a student population of over 1,000, one fifth of Adeleke University undergraduates are on scholarship, it was learnt.

The father of the alleged rape victim, told our correspondent that he had been contacted by the institution to come to the university.

“I was so happy when I was contacted. May God bless you so much for seeing the case through. I am so happy. Such scholarship would be a big blessing to my daughter,” he said.

Lecturer Rapes 18- Year-Old Female Seeking Admission In Unilag

Baruwa who was arrested by the Surulere Police Division on Monday, August 3 told the police in his statement that the sexual intercourse was by mutual consent, insisting that he did not rape the victim.

Caroline got to know the lecturer through her Dad because they both belonged to the same landlords’ association in the Abesan, Ipaja area.
It was gathered that the victim’s father had allowed her daughter to follow the lecturer on July 23, to UNILAG for an admission process.
According to reports, Baruwa allegedly took the girl inside one of the study halls, bolted the door, and raped her.
After the incident, Caroline, who told her parents about the rape, was taken to a non-governmental organisation, Mirabel Centre, where she was tested and the medical result reportedly confirmed that the teenager had been raped.

“The suspect confessed to the act, but his claim is that the sex was by mutual consent.”

The Director of the Office of the Public Defender, Mrs. Omotola Rotimi, said the OPD would write a letter to the UNILAG Vice-Chancellor on the incident, so as to ensure that such did not happen again to anyone.
She said,

“The victim’s father wanted the lecturer to assist with his daughter’s admission. On the fateful day, the girl left with the lecturer as early as 5.30am, and they got to the school at about 7am.

“No one had arrived at the hall except a woman. While the exams had yet to start, he raped her. She went home, and the father found out that her daughter had been raped. He took her to the Mirabel Centre, which then informed the OPD.

“The centre also contacted the police at the Surulere and Isokoko divisions, and the suspect was arrested.

“We are going to defend the girl, and we are writing the VC. The suspect is said to be in the Department of Accounting. He claimed the sex was consensual, but that is not a defence.”

Baruwa, who is currently in custody, will be charged to court on today, Thursday, Aug 6th.

35 Of Bill Cosby’s Alleged Rape Victims Line Up For The First Time #Photo

If Bill Cosby really raped all of these women and more, then something must have been wrong in that man’s mind.

Thirty-five of Bill Cosby’s alleged sexual molestation victims have posed for a photograph on the front of the July 27 edition of New York magazine, giving their accounts of what happened to them at the hands of the now controversial “Cosby Show” star.

Coming into the light for the first time together, the publication lines the 35 women up on chairs in a visually shocking front cover snap, and displays interviews with the women in question within the
pages of the magazine.

Noreen Malone wrote within the mag: “”The group of women Cosby allegedly assaulted functions almost as a longitudinal study – both for how an individual woman, on her own, deals with such trauma over the decades and for how the culture at large has grappled with rape over the same time period. In the ’60s, when the first alleged assault by Cosby occurred, rape was considered to be something violent committed by a stranger … But among younger women, and particularly online, there is a strong sense now that speaking up is the only thing to do, that a woman claiming her own victimhood is more powerful than any other weapon in the fight against rape.”

The testimony and photographs that appear in the mag display in no uncertain terms, the scale and diversity of the alleged abuse, with alleged victims ranging in age from their early 20s to 80, including women who were Playboy bunnies, TV writers, journalists and waitresses.

“I went into this thinking he was going to be my father. To wake up half-dressed and raped by the man that said he was going to love me like a father? That’s pretty sick,” one of the women, Barbara Bowman, 48, said of her experiences with Cosby in the ’80s. “I felt like a prisoner; I felt I was kidnapped and hiding in plain sight. I could have walked down any street of Manhattan at any time and said, ‘I’m being raped and drugged by Bill Cosby,’ but who the hell would have believed me? Nobody, nobody.”

Another victim speaking up in the mag: Cosby Show writer Sammie Mays, 57, claims an encounter with Cosby in 1987 derailed her life. “When I see Jell-O pudding, it comes flooding back,” she told the magazine. “Bill Cosby, that encounter, that one time, played a major factor in the direction my life took, toward the dark side.”

The publication is available for purchase now, and you can also see video interviews with the women on the magazine’s website.

35 doesn’t sound that much until you see a picture like the one at the top with 35 women sitting down, claiming they have been raped by the same man.

Mother Stabs 7Yr Old Son For Raping His 2Yr Old Sister And A Neighbour’s Daughter

A seven-year-old boy, identified simply as Promise, has been stabbed by her mother with broken bottles for allegedly defiling his two-year-old step-sister and the daughter of a neighbour.

The incident happened on Monday on Tunde Olusola Street, in the Ijaiye-Ojokoro area of Lagos.

The mother, Mrs. Blessing Fred, was said to have gone out with her daughter on Sunday, leaving Promise behind.
While the mother was away, Promise went to visit five-year-old Yemi (pseudonym) ? the neighbour’s daughter ? at her parents’ apartment. He was said to have met Yemi alone and took her to his mother’s room.

On getting to the room, he reportedly told her to remove her clothes and lie down. He laid on top of the girl and fiddled with her private parts.

Yemi’s mother had left her with her sister, who was said to have left home when the incident happened.

Punch Metro reports that Yemi narrated what transpired between her and Promise to her mother when she came back.

A neighbour who spoke to Punch said that Yemi’s mother invited Promise to her apartment and verified the story in the presence of her daughter.

She said, “Initially, he denied. But when the woman assured him that she would not tell his mother, he opened up and said it was true. He said he had been doing it with his step-sister too. The woman later reported Promise to his mother and he confessed to her as well.”

“She first beat him with a stick on Monday for the offence. But all of a sudden, she smashed a bottle and stabbed him in the back.”

A resident, Bose Komolafe, said Fred had been arrested by the police from the Ijaiye-Ojokoro Police Division, while Promise had been admitted to a hospital in the area.

She said, “Some neighbours rushed to rescue the child from her. He is on admission at a hospital.

Oshiomole Advocates For Stronger Penalties Against Rape Convicts

The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has called for stiffer penalties for persons convicted of rape, defilement and other forms of child abuse to serve as a deterrent to others. He said this was necessary so that rape will be drastically reduced through out the Federation. Here’s what the governor said.

“We have discussed this, time and again at our Executive Council meetings. And at a point, we asked the Attorney-General to review the laws such that the number of years a convict gets will commensurate with the severe nature of rape and defilement. We are concerned; we have discussed this and we have a feeling that the number of reported cases are on the increase. We also know that, because of the nature of our environment, there will be several others that may not even be reported at all.

“When you look at the sheer number of rape cases that are recorded, it is clear that across the country both rape and defilement cases are increasing. Therefore, this calls for tougher measures on the part of those strengthening the law and providing for stiffer and harsher punishments than what is currently obtained and to also ensure that the few cases that are reported are properly prosecuted with a view to securing conviction.”

Three People Arrested For Gang Raping 16-Year Old Virgin In Lagos

Three young men have been arrested for gang raping a 16 year old virgin in Orile area of Lagos while on her way from school. The suspects identified as Sunday Simeon, 18, from Akwa Ibom state; Adebayo Omoniyi 18, from Ondo state; Nnaemeka Uzodinma 24, from Imo state and Seyi (surname unknown) who is currently on the run attacked, abducted and gang raped the victim who is a JSS 3 student on June 23, 2015.

Vanguard learnt that the suspects attacked the victim after one of the suspects; Adebayo took the victim’s phone around Arikeuyo junction while returning from school at Orile. It was gathered that while the victim was struggling with Adebayo, his partners-in-crime dragged her into a tricycle and rode her to no 15 Unity Close in Orile Iganmu. When they got there they took off her school uniform
and raped her one after the other starting from Adebayo.

Vanguard gathered that after successfully raping the victim, one of the suspects Adebayo suggested to the other gang members that they kill the victim and throw her corpse into the canal so that she won’t expose them. But another member of the gang, Seyi pleaded with them to be cautious with Adebayo’s advice, instead advice his colleagues to threaten the victim rather than kill her.

Hearkening to Seyi’s advice the suspects threatened to kill her with a cutlass if she ever mentioned to anyone what they did to her or that they gang raped her. Later they collected her phone number and rode her back to Alako area in Orile while Sunday gave her N100 to board a commercial vehicle home.

According to a source close to the family who spoke to Vanguard on the condition of anonymity said: “when the victim came back from school it was obvious that something was wrong as she was walking with difficulty, her uniform torn, she was bleeding because she sustained severe bruises all over her vagina”.

“Her parents who saw her torn uniform and noticed the way she walked asked what had happened to her and she told them how she was attacked by four men who raped her on her way back from school. Immediately her father took her to Orile Divisional Police station to report the incidence. Fortunately while she was at the station with her father the suspects kept calling and threatening to kill her if she told anyone what they did to her”.

Meanwhile the victim was taken to Ifelodun Ajeromi Government Hospital where she received treatment after a series of test were carried out on her which confirmed that he has been sexually abused.
Vanguard learnt that the police advised her to lure the suspects who were calling and threatening her by telling them that she was coming to see them again after school the next day. Unknown to them that it was a trap and that her parents had notified the police, they bought the idea.

At the agreed time she went there with the detectives who succeeded in arresting one of the suspect’s Nnaemeka Uzodinma, his arrest eventually led to the arrest of two others. It was gathered that the victim’s blood stained pant and the cutlass which was used to threaten her have been recovered from the suspects one-room apartment in Orile. The suspects who are currently being investigated at the State Criminal Investigation Department, yaba, Panti would soon be arraigned in court.

Robbers Rape Female Doctors In Calabar

Two female doctors were raped at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) when armed robbers invaded the health care centre, Chairman of Resident Doctors Association at the hospital, Dr Ikechukwu Ukweh said.

Addressing journalists, he said that was one of the reasons they embarked on an indefinite strike. He said the strike was to demand payment of salaries, training entitlements as well as upgrade of facilities.

Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Thomas Agan, who said efforts were being made to resolve the industrial action, said it was one doctor that was raped.

“I got to know about the armed robbery incident recently. You see, this hospital sits on 4.316 hectares
of land, and part of the perimeter fence has collapsed. It is therefore very difficult for our hospital security to effectively police the premises. This makes the hospital very porous and vulnerable. Recently too, two cars belonging to a doctor and a nurse were stolen within the premises of the hospital. Even patients have had to escape through the broken fences. I appeal to all to see security as everyone’s business even as I plead with the federal government to release funds meant for us to defray debts and tackle this challenging security issue”, he said.

Agan said the challenges were not peculiar to UCTH. He assured that the management was working very hard to ensure that the strike is called off within the week.

Bill Cosby Finally Admits Drugging One Woman And “Other People” For Sex

According to documents obtained by the Associated Press, the 77-year-old actor and comedian said he obtained Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with, and he admitted giving the sedative to at least one woman and “other people,”

The news agency obtained the legal documents after they became public on Monday. Mr Cosby testified that he gave a woman three half pills of Benadryl in a lawsuit filed by a former Temple University employee.
The 77-year-old was questioned by Dolores Troiani, a lawyer for Andrea Constand, a former women’s basketball director at Philadelphia’s Temple University where Cosby studied and was a member of the board of trustees. Constand took her rape case to court, but the case was dropped.
In one exchange between Cosby and Troiani, the comic admitted having obtained seven prescriptions for Quaaludes, a powerful sedative drug.

“You gave them to other people?” asked the attorney.

“Yes,” replied Cosby.

Troiani then asked him:

“When you got the Quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these Quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?”

“Yes,” replied Cosby, although a short time later he said he had misunderstood the question, and was referring only to one woman.

“I misunderstood. Woman, meaning T….., and not women,” he said.

Later in the deposition, Cosby said:

“I meet Ms (T, whose name was redacted to preserve her anonymity) in Las Vegas. She meets me back stage. I give her Quaaludes. We then have sex.”

Mr Cosby settled the lawsuit outside of court in 2006 for undisclosed terms. Mr Cosby’s lawyers fought to keep the documents private and argued that revealing them to the public would ultimately embarrass their client. The entertainer resigned from the board of Temple University last December, as sexual abuse accusations against him multiplied.

Woman Collects Money, Hands 14-year-old To Rapist In Lagos

A 25-year-old woman, Nnena Okoro, has been arrested by the police after she reportedly lured a 14-year-old girl, Faith (pseudonym) to a hotel, where a man raped her.

Okoro lives in Sumoratu Estate, off Ojo Road, Lagos State, where the victim resides. She was said to have been Faith’s confidant. Incident happened on the noon of May 16, when the girl’s aunt, with whom she lives, was not around. Okoro had approached Nnenna and requested that she accompanied
her to the Barracks area to buy mangoes. Okoro rejected the mangoes available in the area and went to Wowo, a nearby street, where the hotel was located.

Punch Metro was told that Okoro, who had allegedly collected an undisclosed amount from the fleeing rapist, lured Faith into a room in the hotel and shut the door. Faith said her mouth was covered, as Nnena aided the man to rape her.

She said:

“Aunty Nnena (Okoro) said I should follow her to buy mangoes in Barracks Lane. She did not like the mangoes they had there and she said we should go to Ojo Road. We went to a hotel and met a man, who she called her friend. Aunty Nnena told me to enter a room. Suddenly, both of them dragged me to the bed. Nnena held my hand and covered my mouth with a cloth. The man pulled off my trousers and raped me. He left the hotel immediately he finished doing it and said he had paid Aunty Nnena.

I went outside crying. It was one woman around the area that helped to clean the blood coming out from my private parts when she saw me. She later took me to the Layeni Police Station.”

In her statement to the police, Okoro, who hails from Abia State, confessed to taking the girl to the hotel. She denied coercing the victim into the act and claimed that she had never met the man prior to the incident. She said:

“Faith is my friend. On the fateful day, we both went to buy mangoes on Ojo Road. On getting to a hotel at Tolu, one man called her. They both discussed and the man paid N500 to the hotel attendant and they entered the room. I later left them inside the room to ease myself. It was when I came back that she told me that she was raped. I did not know that she was a virgin. We have never discussed anything like that before. Her pants were stained with blood. I have never seen the man before that day, but I can recognise him if I see him again.”

PUNCH Metro learnt that Okoro had been arraigned before an Apapa Magistrate’s Court on two counts bordering on the crime, while the police said they had launched a manhunt for the suspect.

The charges read:

“That you, Nnena Okoro, and one other male, now at large, on May 16, 2015, at about 3.20pm, at Graziela Hotel on Wowo Street, Tolu, Ajegunle, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire to commit felony to wit; defilement, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.
“That you, Nnena Okoro, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district, did hold the hands of 14-year-old Faith to the bed and allowed one other man at large to have unlawful carnal knowledge of her, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.”

The accused pleaded not guilty.

A police prosecutor, ASP Olusoji Ojaokomo, said a medical test conducted on the girl revealed that her hymen had been ruptured.

The defendant’s counsel pleaded with the court to grant bail to his client.

Dad Goes To Daycare To Pick Up Daughter And Discovers Teacher Has Done The Unthinkable

When an unnamed Washington state father arrived at his daughter’s daycare to take her home, what he found was probably the worse possible situation a parent can stumble upon.
At first, he didn’t know where his 5-year-old daughter was, but he quickly discovered her in the classroom crouching behind a bookshelf in fear as her 31-year-old teacher was allegedly raping her.
According to the teacher, the Kid’s Country childcare center teacher was simply playing an innocent game of “tickle fight,” but according to the young girl, described as articulate and smart, that was far from the truth.

Wisely, the father took his daughter away and, on the ride home, contacted Child Protective Services.
The young girl described to both her father and CPS officials exactly what the teacher had done to her and even told them that he had “raped” her. Her above-average intelligence reportedly allowed her to provide details about the alleged sexual assault that led to the quick arrest of the perverted teacher.

Describing the incident, the girl explained that the teacher wasn’t tickling her at all, rather, his hand had touched her in inappropriate places on her body. The teacher, apparently caught in the act, tried to excuse those inappropriate touches as an “accidental slip of the hand.”
The unidentified man is awaiting his day in court at the King County jail, where he’ll hopefully be punished to the fullest extent that the law allows.

The police have arrested a 38-year-old motorcyclist, Obinna Ekusaba, for allegedly raping a primary six pupil for six months in the Kirikiri area of Lagos State. It was learnt that the incident happened from December, 2014, to May, 2015, on Karimu Street, Kirikiri Town.

Punch correspondent learnt that the victim’s mother sold cigarette and alcoholic drinks in a motor park on the street. Ekusaba, who usually parked his motorcycle at the park, was said to be one of her numerous customers.

She was said to be away on the fateful day when the suspect called the 11-year-old to bring a bottle of drink into an uncompleted building in the motor park.

It was learnt that while she took the item there, the suspect lured her with money and raped her.

He was said to have subsequently defiled the victim several times before her mother observed on May 19 that her private parts had enlarged.

She was said to have put pressure on her before she confessed that Ekusaba had slept with her.

The matter was reported to policemen at the Kirikiri division and the suspect was subsequently arrested.

The victim, in her statement to the police, said the suspect lured her with N1,000 the first time.

She said, “Brother Obinna (Ekusaba) used to buy cigarette, water and alcoholic drinks from my mother’s shop.

“Last year, I was in my mother’s shop when Brother Obinna called me to bring a bottle for him inside the building.

“On getting there, he put his hand inside his pocket and brought out N500; he asked me to enter. But I told him my daddy used to give me N500. He then brought out N1,000. As I entered the building, he removed my pants and put his private parts inside my own.

“After he removed it, I demanded the money and he brought it out. As I was about to collect it, he put it back inside his pocket. That was how Brother Obinna started sleeping with me.”

Her 35-year-old mother explained that she was bathing her when she observed that there was a change in her private parts.

She said she observed that her hand could enter her private parts freely.

She said, “I became worried because it was not like that before. I questioned her for hours before she confessed that it was a man called Obinna (Ekusaba) that had been raping her.

“She also said he would bring out his private parts and ask her to put it in her mouth. I could not bear it and had to report it to the police.”

The victim was said to have been taken to a general hospital where different tests on her confirmed that there was penetration.

The police subsequently arrested the suspect, and upon interrogation, he reportedly confessed to the crime.

Ekusaba, who was married with four kids, said he slept with the victim both in the day and night.

They were interrupted by Tiefenbacher, who shouted at them, the News 24 agency reported from Pietermaritzburg High Court. Shozi said he then grabbed her, dragging her to her room and tied her up. “I then removed her panties and had sexual intercourse with her,” said Phungula, adding the elderly nun was “still moving” when he left her in her bed.

Tiefenbacher’s body was discovered the following day, with her hands tied with an electric typewriter cord and a wet towel over her face. “I wish I could undo what I have done,” Phungula said in his statement. The two men admitted to stealing a vacuum cleaner, groceries and a watch before fleeing. They said they had met earlier in a pub where they drank a bottle of brandy and another bottle of spirits before setting off to the convent.

The trial was attended by nuns from the convent. Tiefenbacher moved to South Africa 50 years ago to work for the Roman Catholic Church.

The man, using the name ‘Anthony LaRoche’, promised the women 50 Shades of Grey-style bedroom antics with a handsome man through e-mails and texts.
He now faces charges of ‘surprise rape’ after a woman – ‘Sylvie’ – complained.

According to UK Mirror, Sylvie, who was lured to the man’s apartment in Nice, France, said he suggested a darkened room and a blindfold for a kinky thrill. When she arrived and covered her eyes she got into bed with the man, who she thought was handsome, with brown hair and blue eyes. She was stunned when she flicked the light on after sex to see a much older man.

She said: “He was a balding man of about 65, who was quite wrinkly and wore glasses – I was absolutely disgusted.”

When she told police they found her testimony matched three other women’s.When they raided his flat they discovered he had tried the same subterfuge on 342 women across the country.

A second victim was quoted as saying:

“He didn’t want me to take off the blindfold. When I insisted, he got angry. I ended up seeing his silhouette in the dark. He was old, pot-bellied with a big nose.”

After he was arrested he told police that he had the woman’s consent to the sex and couldn’t see what he’d done wrong.
The man, who has already served a prison sentence for tax fraud, added that had she asked the truth about the picture, which he found on Google, he would have come clean.

“Some women have a crazy side to them and like men who surprise them,” he reportedly said.

Sex Slavery Pushes ISIL Victims To Suicide – AI

Women and girls from Iraq’s Yazidi religious minority forced into sexual slavery by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group have committed suicide or tried to, rights group Amnesty International said.

The London-based rights group said on Tuesday, women faced torture, rape, forced marriage and were “sold” or given as “gifts” to ISIL fighters or their supporters in Iraq and Syria.

“Hundreds of Yazidi women and girls have had their lives shattered by the horrors of sexual violence and sexual slavery in ISIL captivity,” Amnesty’s Senior Crisis Response Adviser, Donatella Rovera, said in a statement.

“Many of those held as sexual slaves are children, girls aged 14, 15 or even younger,” Rovera added.

Based on interviews with over 40 former captives, the Amnesty report ,  Yezidi women and girls face harrowing sexual violence , said fearful of rape, some of the women had tried to kill themselves.

“She cut her wrists and hanged herself. She was very beautiful; I think she knew she was going to be taken away by a man and that is why she killed herself.”

Iraqi Girls as Young as 12 Raped, Sold at Prices from $25 to $1000 by ISIL (Watch Video)

Izadi girls and women, who have managed to escape the terrorists, say the ISIS insurgents traded hundreds of girls, as well as married and unmarried women, after they attacked the Iraqi town of Sinjar and its surrounding villages in early August. The women were sold at prices ranging from 25 to one-thousand dollars. Most of them were moved to the ISIS’s stronghold of Mosul in northern Iraq. There, they were tortured and sexually enslaved by the militants. Izadi activists estimate that at least 35-hundred people from the Kurdish minority have gone missing since the ISIL attack. That’s in addition to nearly two-thousand men who were executed. About 430 Izadis have escaped their captors.

Supermodel Joins Bill Cosby Drugged List, Says Many Are Yet to Speak Out

Supermodel Beverly Johnson is the latest woman to come forward with allegations against comedian Bill Cosby.

In an exclusive story penned for, Johnson — most notable for being the first black model to ever appear on the cover of American Vogue in 1974 — writes for the first time about her alleged experience being drugged by Bill Cosby in 1986.

Johnson, now 62, says she first came into contact with Cosby when an agent told her that the comedian wanted her to audition for a role on The Cosby Show. She says she went to a taping of the show, and then talked with him in his office afterwards about the troubles she had in her previous marriage, and where she wanted to go in her career moving forward. After going to a second taping — this time with her daughter in tow — the two got a tour of Cosby’s New York Brownstone.

“Looking back, that first invite from Cosby to his home seems like part of a perfectly laid out plan, a way to make me feel secure with him at all times,” she says. “It worked like a charm.”

Johnson says she came back to Cosby’s house a few days later to read for the Cosby Showpart they initially discussed, during which he wanted her to “pretend to be drunk” to see how she handled various scenes. She alleges that he insisted she drink a cappuccino from his espresso machine, even when she initially refused. She alleges that he drugged her though the coffee drink.

“Now let me explain this: I was a top model during the 70s, a period when drugs flowed at parties and photo shoots like bottled water at a health spa,” she discloses. “I’d had my fun and experimented with my fair share of mood enhancers. I knew by the second sip of the drink Cosby had given me that I’d been drugged — and drugged good.”

“My head became woozy, my speech became slurred, and the room began to spin nonstop,” she alleges. “He put his hands around my waist, and I managed to put my hand on his shoulder in order to steady myself. As I felt my body go completely limp, my brain switched into automatic-survival mode. That meant making sure Cosby understood that I knew exactly what was happening at that very moment.”

She lashed out by telling him, “You are a motherf*cker aren’t you?” Johnson says that after repeatedly calling Cosby a “motherf*cker,” he became so angry that he dragged her down the stairs and shoved her into a taxi cab.

“The next day I woke up in my own bed after falling into a deep sleep that lasted most of the day,” she says. “I had no memory of how I got into my apartment or into my bed, though most likely my doorman helped me out. I sat in there still stunned by what happened the night before, confused and devastated by the idea that someone I admired so much had tried to take advantage of me, and used drugs to do so. Had I done something to encourage his actions?”

Deciding to confront Cosby shortly about the incident, she says she dialed the private number he gave her, but was shocked when his wife Camille picked up. She claims Camille told her it was “very late” — 11 p.m. — and that the two were in bed together.

Johnson says she never called back. “At a certain moment it became clear that I would be fighting a losing battle with a powerful man so callous he not only drugged me, but he also gave me the number to the bedroom he shared with his wife,” she explains. “How could I fight someone that boldly arrogant and out of touch? In the end, just like the other women, I had too much to lose to go after Bill Cosby. I had a career that would no doubt take a huge hit if I went public with my story and I certainly couldn’t afford that after my costly divorce and ongoing court fees.”

About her decision to previously stay silent as more women began to come forward with sexual assault allegations against Cosby, she says the “plight of the black male” — referencing the recent headline-making cases of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Eric Garner — made her hesitant to tell her story.
