Nigeria Air Force personnel ?kill man ‘over prostitute’

A 60-year-old man was on Tuesday killed at a brothel in Maiduguri, Borno State, after a quarrel with some personnel of the Nigeria Air Force.

The fight occurred at a popular brothel located in Simari area of Maiduguri.

Witnesses said the victim, Ibrahim Bulama, was shot dead by soldiers after they clashed over a woman at the brothel.

Air Force authorities confirmed the killing, but did not clearly admit its personnel were involved in a struggle for a prostitute.

The Commander of the 105 Composite Group, Charles Ohwo, an Air Commodore, told journalists at a press briefing on Thursday that the deceased was not shot.

He said the man died when soldiers were trying to retrieve a rifle allegedly snatched from their colleague.

According to the Nigeria Air Force account, the soldier, Kamal Usman, a Lance Corporal, was on his way home from his duty post when he ran into people having an argument.

He said the armed personnel was trying to find out what happened, when his rifle was snatched.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that, on Wednesday 7th December 2016, an airman, Lance Corporal Kamal Usman, left his duty post at about 10pm, and on his way home, when he came across some gathering near a hotel in Simari area; and in an attempt to find out what was wrong, the crowd got scared and took to their heels,” Mr. Ohwo said.

“When the airman decided to check the surroundings to find out what scared the crowd, he entered one room in the hotel and found a woman laying on a bed.

“Unfortunately, the deceased old man, Bulama mobilized some people and came back to the hotel and attacked him from the back with matchets, inflicting serious injuries on his head and snatched his rifle.

“On sensing danger, the lance corporal left and mobilized his fellow colleagues for assistance. Upon arrival at the scene, they descended on the old man, and beat him to death in the process of recovering their rifle.

“The airman is now recuperating at the air force medical facility in Maiduguri, while his colleagues who were involved in the incident have been detained pending further investigation,” Mr. Ohwo said.

Witnesses questioned the Air Force’s narratives, saying it did not explain what exactly took the armed airman to a brothel, or how exactly he got to see the woman on the bed, or what he was doing with her at the time the mob mobilised to attack him.

“The soldiers have to do their investigation very well, because all we heard was that a soldier was attacked by angry mob after the old man was killed,” said a source who asked not to be named for safety reasons.

Journalists were ushered into the military clinic at the Air Force base where the accused airman, who had deep cuts on his head, was admitted. He was cuffed by the legs.

Mr. Ohwo called for calm, promising thorough investigation into the matter.

Man Gets Stabbed For Offering To Pay Prostitute With Boiled Egg

A prostitute in Zimbabwe beat a punter around the head with a beer bottle after he offered to pay for sex with a boiled egg, the DailyMail UK has reported.

Moses Mushonga, 28, walked up to the young lady of the night in the town of Mvurwi in Mashonaland province.

Firstly he manhandled her, leaning into her bra and touching her breast.

This did not endear him to the 23-year-old, called Chipo, but to add insult to injury he then tried to haggle with his only asset.

Mushonga told her he had just spent his last bit of money on buying two boiled eggs, which cost 0.25 Zimbabwe dollars, the equivalent of less than a penny or a cent.

Sadly he had already eaten one too.

My wife is a first class prostitute, a drunk – Man tells court.

An electrician, Ibrahim Ekeolu, on Friday told a Mapo Customary Court, Ibadan that his wife, Taiwo, is a first class prostitute and a drunk.

Ekeolu of Iyemetu-Igosun Areas of Ibadan made the assertion while testifying in a divorce petition institute by his wife against him.

The respondent, who denied the allegations in the petition, accepted the divorce request from his wife.

He said, “Your honour, Taiwo is a first class prostitute who thinks she can continue to fool me.

“Taiwo goes out and return home at anytime she feels, staying two or three months with her parents.

“In this state of constant abandonment, I saw Taiwo cooking very early one morning, she told me that one of her relatives was sick and needed food in the hospital.

“She took the food and I carefully trailed her, I saw her entering an hotel with the food.

“Though, I couldn’t get the room she entered, but I waited until she came out with her concubine and both of them sighted me and they took another direction out.

“Taiwo knew what I was going to do, when she got home, she packed out with most of my belongings.

“Taiwo as a woman is a drunkard, when she returns home late, alcohol smells all over her body and sleeps to unconsciousness.

“When I reported the incident to her parents, they instead supported her as they usually did.”

But, Taiwo, an Ibadan-based trader, had urged the court to dissolve her six-year-old marriage to her husband for allegedly stealing her money.

The mother of one and resident of Ireakari-Mokola, told the court that her husband was crippling her life through constant theft of her capital.

He said, “For a number of times, Ekeolu has stolen the money meant for my business despite the fact that he does not make any contribution to it.

“He has stolen thousands of naira from me to cripple my business and if I ask, he turns me into a punching bag.

“Your honour, he battered me one day such that I collapsed into the gutter. Each time he beat me, I end up in the hospital.

“As if those are not enough, he doesn’t want to know how our only child and I sustain our lives. Worst of all, he is jobless and does nothing about it.”

The President of the court, Mr. Henric Agbaje, asked the couple to produce evidence to support their claims, and adjourned the case till Nov. 13 for judgment.
