Paedophile Pastor Sentenced to 3 Years imprisonment in Ondo

An Ondo State Chief Magistrate’s Court has sentenced one Waleola Sunday, 32, a pastor with the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church in the Oke Aro area of Akure, to three years imprisonment for child molestation, Sahara Reporters reports.

Waleola, who pleaded guilty to the charges, was arrested by officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) following an intelligence report.

He confessed to have molested four children, saying: “I always enter public schools during their break hours to approach most of these male students before carrying out the act. And after this, I would take them to the bush and seduce before they returned back to their classes. I believe it’s devil’s work because I would always come back to my senses after I molested the little boys.”

Counsel to the NSCDC, Ebiriku David, who described Waleola as a “serial homosexual,” said that he was in the habit of seducing young males.

The offence is against section 32 (1) of the Ondo State Child Right Law 2017, David said.

The Bible did not condemn prostitution. Even virginity is a burden. – Ghanaian pastor

Ghanaian marriage counselor, Rev. Cyril George Lutterodt has said the bible does not condemn prostitution.

In a chat with OKAY FM, Lutterodt said virgins are also burdens and no man wants to take a woman through sex education.

He said, “The Bible does not condemn prostitution, so God does not also.

“Even virginity is a burden.

“Eight out of ten men won’t want to have virgins because virgins are burdens,” he added.

Recall that Lutterot had claimed no man can satisfy a woman sexually.

He said women who claim to be contented after the act were just lying to hide their disappointment.

Zimbabwean Pastor arrested after prophesying Robert Mugabe’s death

A prominent pastor in Zimbabwe, Patrick Mugadza, was arrested on Monday after prophesying that President Robert Mugabe, 92, will die on October 17, 2017, police and the pastor’s lawyer said.

Mr. Mugadza, from the Remnant Pentecostal Church based in the northern town of Kariba, had become famous by holding a one-man demonstration in 2015 against Mugabe, whom he accused of being incompetent.

The Southern African country has seen growing protests against its leader of 37 years, whom critics accuse of ruining the economy, but who nevertheless intends to seek re-election in 2018, when he will be 94 years old.

Mr. Mugadza said in December that Mr. Mugabe would die on October 17 and urged him to pray hard if he wanted to avoid that fate.

Mr. Mugadza was arrested in Harare on charges of undermining the authority of the president, but the charge was then changed to criminal nuisance, his lawyer Gift Mtisi said.

Police spokesperson Charity Charamba confirmed the arrest.

Mr. Mugadza is not admitting to the charge against him, “as he is arguing that what he said was given to him by God during a prayer,” Mr. Mtisi said.

Local Government Minister Savior Kasukuwere said the authorities would clamp down on priests raising alarm.

“These prophets are becoming reckless and careless, they need to be put on a leash,” he said.

Last year, another pastor, Evan Mawarire, launched a protest movement against Mr. Mugabe on social media.

Mr. Mugadza’s arrest came as the ruling party prepares to throw a huge party to celebrate Mugabe’s 93rd birthday on February 21.

The pastor is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

Lagos police accuse Ogun pastor of selling 64 babies.

A pastor at the Divine Yard Deliverance Ministry in Iyana Iyesi, Ota, Ogun State, Peace Udoh, has been arrested by the police for allegedly running a baby factory in the church.

The 47-year-old was said to have sold 64 babies before she was arrested on Sunday by operatives from the Lagos State Police Command who acted on a tip-off.

Udoh was apprehended with one Angela Akpan and a nurse, Mrs. Bukola Ajala, who reportedly assisted in childbirth at Udoh’s church.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the pastor usually referred complicated cases to the nurse, whose clinic – El Shaddai Hospital – is located a few metres away from the church.

Our correspondent gathered that Angela’s younger sister, 17-year-old Goodnews Akpan, recently gave birth to a child at the clinic.

Angela, who was arrested on Saturday in the Sango area, was said to have led police operatives on Sunday to Udoh’s church and Ajala’s clinic, where they were picked up respectively.

While parading the suspects on Monday at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja, the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, said detectives swooped on the syndicate after receiving intelligence report that Udoh needed a buyer for Goodnews’ baby.

“The suspects run a baby factory in the Sango Ota area. We are still working to get 64 other children she has sold out,” the CP added.

However, the pastor, who hails from Akwa Ibom State, refuted the allegation, saying she used the church as a maternity home to assist her pregnant church members for a token.

She said, “I have been a pastor for 13 years. I only assisted my church members during childbirth. I take delivery of 13 to 15 babies every year and I have handled over 60 cases so far. I don’t sell the babies.

“Whenever I have a complicated case, I refer the patient to the nurse and we share the money she collects for the service. Angela brought her sister to me in July. She gave birth on November 16 at the nurse’s clinic and she was discharged. I was surprised when the police came to arrest me yesterday (Sunday).”

Ajala, the nurse, said she collected between N15,000 and N17,000 for each child delivery, adding that she didn’t know anything about selling of babies.

The third suspect, Angela, said, “I am from Abak in Akwa Ibom. I took my sister from our village to the pastor when her pregnancy was four months. She was there until she gave birth in November and I paid N17,000. I didn’t intend to sell her child and I have never sold any child before.”

Goodnews, a secondary school dropout, told our correspondent that she was not aware of the plan to sell her baby. She said she followed Angela to Lagos to avoid being ridiculed in the village.

“I got pregnant in the school but none of my boyfriends was willing to take the responsibility for the pregnancy.

“My mother would not allow me stay with her so I decided to follow my sister to Lagos,” she added.

VIDEO: Watch Pastor in Ghana claim he can enlarge penises by massaging them.

And here you thought South Africa’s pastor of Doom who claimed he can spiritually heal his congregants by spraying them in the face with insect killer was the craziest religious nutjob on the continent.

Well he can sit down because a bishop in Ghana is claiming his faith can enlarge the penises of men in his congregation just by cupping their manhood.

Oh and he also can make women’s breasts bigger apparently by touching them.

According to his own TV channel, Daniel Obinim of the International God’s Way Church says “What do you want that I can’t offer? If you want big buttocks, I can do it for you.

If you want big breasts, I can help. If you have a small manhood, I can change them all when I come to the spiritual realm.”

12 Children Rescued From Pastor’s Home

Twelve children were rescued by the Lagos State Government from the custody of a Pastor, Onoyngu Chibuike, the founder of Voice of Salvation Charitable Organisation, who had been operating an illegal orphanage in Ojo since 2010.
The hands of the law caught up with Chibuike last week when one of the children took ill and was taken to hospital for medical attention. Enquiries from the hospital about the medical history of the indisposed child revealed that Chibuike’s orphanage is not registered under the Lagos State Government.
A raid on the orphanage which took officials of the Lagos State Task Force and the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development some days led to the rescue of some children.
During interrogation by the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mrs Uzamat Akinbile Yussuf, at Alausa Secretariat Ikeja on Monday, the pastor claimed that he received a call from God to start the orphanage over six years ago to rescue helpless children from societal vices and misdemeanour and thus registered the orphanage with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2010.
He said: “I am from Anambra State. I am called by God to render this service to humanity by helping the less privileged, such as widows, motherless children and homeless people. I provide adequate care for these children till their parents can take over their care. For those that were abandoned, I train them even up to university level.”
According to him, the children were acquired through different means.
“Some of these children here were brought to me by the police, some were brought by their biological mothers, who in some instances claimed they had the children out of wedlock and they cannot attend to the needs of the children or shoulder their responsibilities.
“Based on this, the person will put down his or her name and we will accept the child in order to assist the child. Our affection is on children because we know that if we reject any child, chances are that the children are exposed to the wrong sides of life and might die in the process. Based on this, we will accept the child and take care of the child,” he stated.
The Commissioner told the pastor that disciplinary actions would be taken against him after further investigations that would be carried out by the police. Ignorance is not an excuse under the law, she said.
She said: “When you operate an illegal orphanage in Lagos, it is a criminal offence. Your registration with CAC does not give you any licence to operate an orphanage in Lagos. Here we operate with the law that guides us. Orphanage is not a charitable organization you feel God has guided you to go and assist people.
“We are talking about children here and there is a law in place protecting the rights of these minors. The Lagos State Child’s Right Law of 2007 guides all the children that live in Lagos State. Whatever you need to do, you need to be well guided by the law. You don’t just operate at will, being led by the Holy Spirit to assist the less privileged is a good idea but you have to operate within the ambit of the law that guides your engagement”
Twelve of the 15 children in his custody have immediately been taken over by the State Government until suitable homes are secured for them. Two were still with the Voice of Salvation orphanage as at the time of the interrogation but would also be taken into proper care of the state government while the last one child who is still in the hospital would be monitored by officials of the ministry.
Chibuike was handed over to law enforcement agents for further investigation and disciplinary actions and was also ordered to provide the case file documentation on all the children in his orphanage.
He pleaded for mercy, adding that the work he is doing is a directive from God. He has been ordered to provide case files on all the children in his orphanage.

Teenager Runs Mad After Allegedly Swindling Pastor

A teenager, who deals in clothing at the popular Onitsha market, has reportedly run mad after he allegedly swindled an Asaba based evangelist, simply identified as Mr. Uzor. (surname withheld).

The boy (names withheld) was said to have sold two red pieces of male underwear (commonly called boxers) to Uzor who is also believed to be a personal driver to a Japanese expatriate working with a multinational construction company in Nigeria.

Uzor was said to have taken his boss to the Onitsha market axis where he saw the teenager who engages in mobile retailing (hawking). Sources narrated that he (Uzor) picked the two pieces of red shorts worth N250 each and he was said to have paid the seller a total N500.

Upon collection, the teenager was said to have demanded another pay, insisting that he had received no dime form the evangelist. Amazed at boy’s claim, the evangelist reportedly made several attempts to explain how he had paid the teenager, but his efforts yielded no success. This, according to sources, was in spite of the fact that a N500 note that matched his (Uzor’s) exact description was found in the boy’s pocket.

In frustration, the evangelist reportedly gave out the last N500 in his pocket to the boy, but added another N30 to it, thereby making him penniless at that moment. He was said to have intoned some inaudible statements after which he said in “Jesus name, amen”.

Few hours after the evangelist left Asaba, sources said the teenager became restless and could not continue with his business. He was said to have returned home without telling his colleagues the reason behind his early retirement for the day.

On getting home, he reportedly undressed, started screaming and danced around the neighborhood playfully. The unusual act was said to have attracted his neighbours’ attention.

Pastor sprays insecticide on congregants, says God ‘can use poison’ to heal.

A South African pastor, Lethebo Rabalago, has been photographed spraying his congregation with ‘Doom’ insecticide claiming it will heal them and expel their troubles.

Pictures of the service and prayer meeting were shared on a Facebook account allegedly belonging to Mount Zion General Assembly, Rabalago’s church.

Rabalago claims that he is able to heal and deliver people using various substances at his disposal.

He says his methods are faultless and only require faith to work.

“God can use anything, God can use the mud, God can use saliva, God can use even poisonous things to deliver people.

“If they see a man of God using that thing it’s a sign of attracting men, so this is a magnetic anointing we are ‘magneting’ men into Christ.

“They don’t believe it can happen but once we put that magnet there, they see it’s possible and then they come,” Rabalgo told eNCA.

The pastor also noted that he uses Doom insect killer to heal people with cancer, HIV or any other illness.

One photograph from the service was captioned: “Mrs. Mitala. The Prophet called sick people to come forward. She went to the forth and told the Prophet that she suffers from ulcer. The Prophet sprayed doom on her and she received her healing and deliverance. We give God the glory.”

Another post from Mount Zion General Assembly said: “Doom is just a name‚ but when you speak to it to become a healing product‚ it does. People get healed and delivered through doom. It’s not by might nor by power‚ but by the HolySpirit. We give God the glory.”

“But luckily for me, my phone rang, one of them picked it, the caller addressed me as pastor and said that I should come to the church early that I will be ministering, but I am not a pastor.

“One of the guys said that they should not kill me that I am a pastor; that in the bible God said that they should not touch his anointed or do his prophet harm.

“After a hot argument among them, they stopped the car, stripped me naked and absconded with my car. A good Samaritan gave me clothes to wear. When I got home, I told my wife again about the incident, but she said nothing.

Pastor Petitions Magu Over Confiscation Of His Range Rover

A Nigerian pastor based in South Africa Mr Obinna Ikenna Ezenwanne has petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged confiscation of his vehicle by some operatives of the commission.

In the petition addressed to the EFCC chairman Ibrahim Magu, Ezenwanne said some operatives of the anti-graft agency in collaboration with one Mr. Marcus has confiscated his black Range Rover SUV in Onitsha.

The cleric said he bought the car in August, 2014 from an auto dealer, Mr Soji of SOJ Autos in Apapa, Lagos at the cost of N12 million.

He said on December 16, 2014, Mr Soji arranged for his personal assistant, simply known as MC, to assist him to drive the vehicle to Onitsha, where it would be in use after the registration formalities. The cleric paid MC $400 and N30, 000 for his services.

“The vehicle was registered as JJJ741 and has been in use since then anytime Pastor Obinna visited Nigeria,” the petitioner said.

The cleric said two years after the purchase, some operatives of the EFCC  with the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) however invaded Onitsha, where the vehicle was and arrested pastor Obinna’s younger brother, ThankGod, who was keeping the vehicle on the ground  that Mr. Soji didn’t remit the money to one Mr. Marcus, who is said to be the original owner of the vehicle.

He appealed to Magu to intervene in the release of the vehicle and the stop the intimidation by the anti-graft agency’s officials.

Stop addressing Ize-Iyamu as Pastor, he’s a pathological liar – Oshiomole

The Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has berated the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate in the ongoing governorship election in the state, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, for claiming to be a pastor.

Addressing reporters, the Governor described Ize-Iyamu, who is his former campaign director, as a “pathological liar”, who “lies effortlessly”.

Oshiomhole stressed that the PDP flag bearer is not worthy of being addressed as a pastor for alleging that some All Progressives Congress, APC, governors, including Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos and Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna, were in the state to perfect ways of rigging the governorship election.

According to the governor,“I have always said that Ize-Iyamu is not a pastor because one of the 10 commandments of God includes… but the man claims to believe in Jesus Christ, lies effortlessly like a pathological liar, and he insists he must be addressed as a pastor.

“Governor Ambode is too busy in Lagos and he is not registered to vote in Edo. Governor Ambode is a golden fish, there is no hiding place for him so where did they find him? Let them produce the photograph.

“It is because of the nature of our democracy… people who have criminal records are not supposed to vote. I am sure Governor Ambode is in Lagos doing what he was voted to do and we don’t need his help to come and vote for us because he didn’t need my help to vote for him in Lagos.

“El-Rufai is not here and if there is a place where the media is visible, I believe it is Edo state. Is it really in the mouth of a non-believer to parody the truth? You are the people who have the training/skill for what elsewhere is called investigative journalism, so it is for you to go round everywhere and find out whether any of these people are in town.

“The world has changed that even pathological liars have limits to how much lie they can tell, you know. The PDP is already smelling defeat; they want to start the process of creating confusion and distraction.

“You see, we are using valuable airtime now to discuss non-issue but I challenge the media, and this is sometimes my frustration, don’t take it from me, don’t take it from them. There are many ways to establish where the man is.

“The world has changed; we are no longer in an analogue age where one-eyed man can be leading blind men. Nigerians are not blind and a blind-eye pastor cannot lead us. So, please, let’s spend our time discussing serious issue.”

Oshiomhole had last week alleged that Ize-Iyamu connived with a former governor of the state, Lucky Igbinedion to divert N4 billion bank loan to a private bank account in Lagos.

Pastor Accuses Hospital Of Removing Wife’s Womb, Damaging Bladder

A pastor with a Pentecostal ministry, Chinedu Rockson, has accused the management of Ilogbo Central Hospital in the Ajangbadi area of Lagos State of removing his wife’s womb and damaging her bladder during childbirth.

Chinedu said the hospital also detained his wife over the payment of N50,000, adding that efforts to clear the bill had been frustrated by the hospital.

It was learnt that Chinedu’s wife, Chinansa, had been referred to the hospital on August 26, 2016, after she could not be delivered of the baby at the hospital where she had her antenatal care.

The hospital reportedly commenced a caesarean section on the 42-year-old after her husband signed some documents to perfect the terms.

Chinedu explained that some hours into the operation, he was called into the theatre to sign another document, adding that nobody told him it was for the removal of his wife’s womb.

He said, “They charged N200, 000 for the operation and we negotiated for N150,000. I paid a deposit of N30,000 and they started the operation.

“They asked me to sign some papers, which I did. Some hours later, a surgeon said there had been complications and I would need to sign another document. He didn’t tell me what I was signing for or the implications. Because I was in a haste to get my wife saved, I signed the document.

“After some time, they brought out my wife from the theatre with a pipe attached to her bladder. We became worried when we discovered that few days afterwards, they didn’t remove the pipe.

“After a week, they said I should come and clear my bill of N50,000 so they could discharge her. I called a senior pastor, who presented them with a cheque. But they said they would keep her for the two weeks that the cheque would be ready to be cashed.”

OPC Tortures Pastor Over Wife’s Death In Ogun

A pastor with the Christ Apostolic Church, Onigbogbo, Atan Ota, Ogun State, Pastor Olusegun Omoniyi, is critically ill after he was allegedly abducted and tortured by some members of the Oodua People’s Congress.

It was learnt that 45-year-old Omoniyi had also gone into hiding after he was rescued by policemen from the Sango Area Command. He said he feared for his life as the OPC members had threatened to recapture and kill him.

Punch Metro learnt that the OPC members were acting on the instruction of some relatives of Omoniyi’s late wife, Omolade, who had vowed to deal with him over the sickness and subsequent
death of the woman.

Punch correspondent gathered that Omoniyi and his wife married in 1999 and had a set of twins in 2000. However, the twins were said to have died shortly after they were born.

It was learnt that since the death of the children, the couple had not been able to have any child, which resulted in pressures from Omolade’s family.

Early 2015, the wife was reported to have left the cleric despite entreaties from church leaders and relatives of the husband.

Punch Metro gathered that seven months after separating from the husband, the 42-year-old was attacked by a strange illness.

Omoniyi said, “She had told me that her family members didn’t want her to continue living with me, but I begged her to stay.

“However, sometime in 2015, I went for a church meeting when some of her family members came. They took away her property. Attempts at getting her family members to reconcile us were abortive as they said she had made her choice.

“However, in July 2015, I was told she was sick. On the instruction of the church leadership, I went with some other elders to give her N50,000. But her brother did not allow us to see her, saying I should go alone to see her. We refused.

“On February 6, 2016, while I was leading a church programme around 10am, four men entered the church. Two of them were OPC members and the others – Adebayo and Stephen – were my wife’s relatives. While I was on the altar, the two OPC members said they had come to take me away.

“I told them that I would not follow them since I did not know where they were taking me to. They beat me up and one of them showed me a gun and said if I didn’t cooperate, he would kill me.”

Omoniyi said he was thrown into a car belonging to his wife’s eldest brother, adding that he was blindfolded throughout the journey.

The cleric explained that he later found himself in Ijoko, the camp of the OPC, saying the men tortured him before taking him inside a clinic where his wife had been admitted.

“In one of the rooms, I saw my wife on the bed. Her legs were swollen and there was blood all over the place. I asked her why she left the house and what I did wrong.

“While talking to her, my in-laws started beating me. I have never suffered such torture. I told my wife right there that God would judge our matter,” he added.

He said he sneaked into the clinic’s toilet where he made a call to a church leader informing him of his location, adding that the latter informed the police who stormed the area and rescued him was learnt that Omolade died the following day.

The church leadership was reported to have sent a delegation to condole with the family, and Omoniyi also accompanied the men.

It was learnt that the deceased’s family allegedly attacked the group, insisting that Omoniyi must take his wife’s corpse with him.

“To appease them, I told them to find where they would bury her and I would bear part of the cost, but they refused.

“As I was leaving, they blocked the road and said they would burn the two vehicles we took there. The OPC members, who had earlier abducted me, came and dragged me to where the corpse was.

“After beating me again, they put me on the corpse and said I must die with her. They put me in a car with the corpse. I couldn’t recognise anybody until I saw some policemen who rescued me the second time,” he said.

Omoniyi said he was taken to a private hospital, adding that the location was not disclosed to protect his life. He alleged that a top police officer was also backing his in-laws, saying he had gone into hiding for security reasons.

He lamented that his wife’s family had taken away his landed property, adding that his life was in danger.

Punch correspondent learnt that the matter had already got to the CAC supreme council and the church had not been able to resolve the case as Omolade’s eldest brother was a top pastor in the church.

Punch Metro saw petitions addressed to the Inspector-General of Police, Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2, Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Area Commander, Sango-Ota, Officer-in-charge, Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Abeokuta, among others.

The petitions called for the arrest of Omoniyi’s in-laws and the OPC members for the alleged abduction and torture.

Punch correspondent was told that nothing had been done on the petitions.

How ‘doctor’ duped woman of N66.9m – EFCC

Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye of the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja, has remanded a self-styled doctor, Innocent Chukwu and a woman, Mrs. Obiageli Anachebe, who allegedly defrauded a businesswoman of a total sum of N66,900,000.00.

Justice Ipaye made the order following the defendants’ not guilty plea and adjourned till October 14, for hearing of their bail applications.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Chukwu, alias Dr. Ohamadike, and Anachebe on a five-count charge with No. ID/1332C/2015, bordering on conspiracy to obtain money by false pretences, stealing by fraudulent conversion and concealment of deed.

It said the defendants, with intent to defraud, obtained N50,000,000.00 from a businesswoman, Mrs. Vivian Amadi, “under the false pretence that they were capable of solving all her problems by spiritual means,” knowing the representation to be false.

The Commission also alleged that Chukwu dishonestly obtained and concealed title documents of a building situated at No. 4, Nteje Street, New Haven, Enugu, valued at N35, 000,000.00 property of Amadike.

The anti-graft agency, represented by its counsel, Mr. Kunle Fayanju, said both alleged offences were committed between October and December 2013, in Lagos.

It added that Chukwu, on or about February 14, 2014, dishonestly converted the sum of N16, 900,000.00 property of Amadike and Pamela Ihediwa of Bluebeam Capital Ltd, Lagos.

Chukwu, the Commission said, obtained the sum by claiming to have for sale, a United States dollar equivalent of the N16.9m “which representation he knew to be false and dishonest.”

According to the Commission, the offences contravened Section 8(a) and 1(3) of the Advanced Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act No. 14 of 2006 and Sections 285(9)(c) and 288 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

Pastor Commits Suicide After Sending Pictures Of His Penis To Church WhatsApp Group

A Pastor with Christ Embassy, Pastor Letsego, has committed suicide after he allegedly sent pictures of his penis to his church Whatsapp Group.

It was gathered that the married pastor who is based in South Africa mistakenly sent a picture of his penis meant for his alleged lover to his church whatsapp group.

The images were captioned: “Wife is away, it’s all yours tonight.”

He then realised his mistake after having hit the send button with congregants expressing shock and outrage over the mishap.

The Pastor reportedly left the group after he realised his mistake.

All calls put through to the pastor by congregants who expressed shock at such acts proved abortive.

The next day, he was found dead, hanging in his rented church house.

One of the pastor’s congregants, who pleaded anonymity said: “Pastor’s antics have always been a cause for concern, he was always seen in the company of one of the deacons named Miriam and we suspected there was more to their friendship than meets the eye.

“Quizzed by his wife and congregants, he would shrug off the allegations and say as a Pastor he was a father to everyone and Miriam was his favourite Daughter.”

According to Live Monitor, efforts made to get a comment from Christ Embassy Officials remains fruitless.

Pastor Accused Of Rape, Abortion Of 13 Teenagers Says, ‘I’ll Marry All The Girls’

THE General Overseer of Tongue of Fire Restoration, Chukwuma Nwkocha, who was accused of abduction, defilement and illegal termination of pregnancies for about 13 teenagers has defended himself.

The 34-year-old indigene of Imo State said he was only aware he slept with one of the girls, Kingdom, adding that he promised to marry the 17-year-old girl. He also said he might marry all the girls if that would bring about peace.

The pastor stated that the parents of the girl and some of his parishioners were aware of his relationship with the her. “I only slept with Kingdom and I have the intention of marrying her. I know she is much younger, but I have seen in the country that a 15-year- old girl got married to a grown up man and it was not a problem. Her parents were aware of our relationship but they are not aware that we were having sex.
According to him, “one Pastor Stephen carried out abortion for Kingdom, and told her that he was not in support. Stephen also said he asked Nwkocha if he slept with the other girls and if he was aware that about six of the girls were pregnant.

Responding, the Pastor said, “I didn’t not sleep with them, I only gave them shelter in my church. I was trying to be a good pastor. When I come to church, these girls would say that they wanted to come and spend weekend at my house. I kept on dodging them, but one day I was placed in a tight corner, when one of the girl’s mother came to me and said that they had accommodation problem.

“I could not have turned down her plea, but she persisted that her daughter could be with me, so I helped out and it turned out like that for everybody. I couldn’t help one and leave the other. I also trained them in school”, he stated.

He also argued that the girls were not found in his house, but in the church, which was where they stayed.

Shallow Graves Found In Lagos Pastor’s Home

The police in Lagos yesterday claimed that shallow graves were discovered at the residence of 70-year-old Prophet Emmanuel Adeyemi arrested for chaining his son and 27 others.

Police Commissioner Fatai Owoseni who confirmed the allegation said the place was raided following a tip-off that the suspect traded human parts to ritualists.

He claimed that Adeyemi who was arrested alongside his first wife on Friday, buried some dead persons in the swamps and three others at his residence.

Owoseni said: “We got a tip-off that they were people he buried in that compound and he confirmed it during interrogation.

“Because the area is swampy, the suspect had allegedly buried some people in the swamp and about three others in the house.

“When we asked him of their identities he said it was some of his patients that were brought to his home from the hospital, after they were given up for dead, who finally died in his care and were buried in the swamp.

“When we also queried him on the claims that he used the body parts of the deceased to sell to ritualists, he swore that he was only a traditional healer and not a human parts seller.”

Owoseni said Adeyemi was earlier invited for questioning after it was discovered that he put his son in chains.

The Commissioner said the suspect claimed he chained the teenager, Toba Adedoyin Adeyemi in order to cure him from stealing.

He said: “When we got information that a teenager was locked up in a house, the area G Commander invited the suspect, who claimed that his son was known for stealing and so he locked him up in chains to cure him of stealing.

“While we were still on that case, we got another credible tip off that there were other people chained up in that same house. Of course, we carried out a raid and confirmed the allegation to be true.

“But before then, we had contacted the Lagos State Government because we don’t have the facility to keep the rescued persons. His claims now that he was arrested is  that he is a herbalist, but why didn’t he tell us that when we first invited him to the station over locking up his stepson? He only told us that he wanted to cure his son of stealing.”

It was gathered that one of the victims who was feeble and had sores was currently on admission at a hospital, while the others were moved to the state rehabilitation centre.

My Pastor Pushed Me To Sell Stolen Car– Suspect

e Lagos State Police Command has arrested a robbery suspect, Olawale Olabinwonu, while attempting to sell a stolen vehicle.

Olabinwonu, an administrative officer of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Igbogbo, Ikorodu, was arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad while trying to sell a Nissan Sentra, 2015 model.

The vehicle, whose number plate was changed, had been placed on an online shopping platform, where it was advertised for sale.

Police investigators had, on seeing the advert, called the contact on the website to indicate interest.

A man, who took custody of the car where it was parked in the Lekki area of the state, was said to have been arrested.

The suspect, however, denied ownership of the car and subsequently led detectives to Olabinwonu’s residence.

Olabinwonu was reported to have packed out of the house with his family after sensing danger.

He was, however, tracked to a church in the area where he was arrested.

It was gathered that the vehicle, which is owned by a bank, was stolen at gunpoint when some robbers attacked a hotel in the Iju-Ishaga area where the manager of the bank lodged.

The robbers were said to have made away with the car along with other valuables of the banker.

Olabinwonu, in his statement to the police, said the car was given to him by a friend he identified as Ahmed Abbey, who asked him to find a buyer for it.

He explained that he consulted his pastor twice, who assured him that nothing would go wrong and he could go ahead with the sale.

He said, “I met Abbey at Dammy Jay Hotel, Ikorodu. He came to my table, bought drinks for everyone and we became friends. While I was going home, he gave me N2,000.

“I saw Abbey later that week to ask if he could help me with some money because I had no job. He asked if I could help his sister, who was travelling overseas, to sell her car.

“I consulted my pastor and he told me to collect the car from him. I took the car from him, but after about three weeks and I couldn’t get a buyer, he took the car from me.

“Some weeks later, I saw him with the car and he challenged me that I didn’t want to sell the car.  After a while, we agreed that I should try again.

“I consulted my pastor again for him to pray about it. This time, my pastor introduced me to someone in Lekki, who had a car park at a very conspicuous place, where we could put the car for sale.  The car was there when I learnt that it was stolen at gunpoint.”

Olabinwonu said since his arrest, his friend had switched off his phone.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the arrest, saying efforts were on to get Abbey.

Pastor Seeks Marriage Dissolution Because His Wife Told Congregation He Is A Ritualist

A pastor, Michael Temiloluwa, last Friday prayed a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan to dissolve his union with his wife, Funmilayo, over her maligning and perpetual trouble-making attitude.

According to Temiloluwa, his wife had told the congregation in his church that he was planning to use her for rituals. He told the court: “Funmilayo has over a period of time tarnished my image, not only in our neighbourhood and in the church, but also in other public fora, by lying that I have engaged in unholy means as a pastor.

“I have tried every possible means of getting her to discontinue with these behaviours. I have even reported her to her relatives, but all to no avail.

“Worst still, she is an unrepentant trouble-maker, who uses all sorts of evil means to achieve her purpose. In fact, Funmilayo has neglected her role as a wife in order to make things difficult for me. In her typical disobedience, she sometimes leave my home for two months without my consent,” Temiloluwa, said.

However, his wife, Funmilayo, even though did not deny the allegations against her, claimed that her husband was far away from her. “Temiloluwa never sat down with me as a husband to discuss any issue, but rather preferred going to other people’s homes for unnecessary discussion,” Funmilayo stated.

She, however, refuted the allegation of being a troublemaker. The presiding President of the court, Mr. Ademola Odunade, however, adjourned judgment in the case till March 30, 2016, but ordered both parties to attend the court on that date with some of their relatives and the two children produced by the union.

Oprah Winfrey Interviews Pastor Who Predicted Her Achievements Decades Ago

Oprah Winfrey has interviewed many spiritual thought leaders in her career, but there is one in particular who had a profound impact on the media mogul long before she ever had any kind of platform or public persona.

That man is Wintley Phipps, a gospel singer and pastor that Oprah met back when she was a young reporter. Since the two first crossed paths decades ago, they have become longtime friends. Phipps recently joined Oprah for an interview on “SuperSoul Sunday,” and they reminisced about their fateful meeting so many years ago — and hearing them retell it, it’s no wonder that was a moment Oprah has never forgotten.

At the time of their first meeting, Phipps had just finished a gospel performance at the Baltimore Civic Center, which Oprah had attended. She quietly approached Phipps as soon as he stepped off the stage.

“I remember coming down off the platform, and there was a tap on my shoulder,” Phipps says to Oprah. “You said, ‘Excuse me, sir. I just heard you sing and I feel like I can talk to you. Do you have time to talk to me?'”

Phipps agreed, and made arrangements for Oprah to visit the home he shared with his wife, Linda, for a spiritual conversation. They spoke and prayed together, and then, the pastor told Oprah that he had a divine message for her.

“I said, ‘Before you go, God has impressed me to tell you: He’s going to bless you and give you an opportunity to speak to millions of people,'” Phipps says. “And you said, ‘Do you really think God would do that for me?'”

Yet, even with this prediction, there was one aspect of Oprah’s success that Phipps says he didn’t see coming.

“You know, when God impressed me to tell you that you’ll be speaking to millions of people,” he says to Oprah, “I didn’t think it was going to be every day!”

“God Pulled Me Out Of A Mess, I Have A Happy Life Free From Abuse” – Anita Oyakhilome Shades Ex-Husband, Pastor Chris

Estranged wife of popular Lagos Pastor, Chris Oyakhilome, Anita, yesterday December 2nd, took to her blog to thank God for pulling her out of mess and making her lead a life now free from abuse. Anita and Chris Oyakhilome have been separated since last year. What she wrote below …

“December is the last month of the year I start every month thankful and for this month of December I am eternally grateful. I am worthy of love, to give and receive. I have value and self-respect, no one has the ability to oppress, suppress or depress me. I am enough and complete in God. My today is better than yesterday.
I have come to a place of wholeness, strength and joy. God pulled me out of mess; I have a happy life free from abuse. No one can take the place of God; he is sovereign and reigns forever. Man is mortal and his days on earth are numbered. When the end comes, it is a glorious thing to return to our maker, to dwell in His holiness and truth. The end of the year brings a rebirth of another year. The death of something can be the rebirth of another thing. All is not lost. Whatever happens in your life, no matter how distressing things might seem. When darkness appears endless, watch out for that tiny spark of light, when you can muster up the courage to thank God for closed doors. In the process of counting your blessings, you find joy!”.

Pastor Marries Pregnant Teen With Wife’s Blessing

A 60-year-old Ohio mob enforcer-turned-pastor married his teenage bride and got her pregnant, all with the blessing of the other lady in his life — his 44-year-old wife.

“The whole situation works for all three of us,” Thom Miller told Barcroft Media. “I am the only one who is allowed to have more than one partner — and both of my wives understand and appreciate that.”

Miller is now building a bigger home so he can split his time between his two ladies, whom he calls sister wives.

And he believes their polygamous lifestyle is strengthening family ties.

“It means they always have a friend with them.”

Miller met his 19-year-old gal pal, Reba Kerfootruba, seven years after he married his wife, Belinda.

“I wanted to have more of a family — having another lady in the house not only makes our family whole but individually it’s a beautiful thing because it’s like having a sister around,” Belinda said. “Thom is the love of my life and Reba is the blessing of my life, so it all works.”

Singapore Megachurch Leader Sentenced To Jail For Pumping Church Money Into Wife’s Pop Singing Career

The co-founder of a Singapore church and five other leaders were sentenced to jail terms of up to eight years on Friday, for fraudulently diverting millions of dollars to support his wife’s pop singing career.

The mix of faith and fraud has fascinated tightly-regulated Singapore, where such cases are rare in an affluent city-state with little tolerance for corruption.

Senior pastor Kong Hee heads City Harvest Church, one of a growing number of Singapore’s megachurches preaching a “prosperity gospel” that blends spiritual and material aspirations.

Six church officials were convicted last month of diverting nearly S$51 million ($36 million) in funds to advance the career of Kong’s wife, Ho Yeow Sun.

They were sentenced on Friday to jail terms of between 21 months and eight years, depending on how involved they were in the fraud. The jail terms were delayed to January next year, giving the defendants time to appeal.
Kong was arrested in 2012 and charged with criminal breach of trust and falsifying accounts. His wife, the co-founder and executive director of the church, was not charged in the case.

Controversial SA Pastor Who Makes His Congregation Eat Snakes, Beaten Mercilessly, His Church Burnt Down

Controversial South African pastor, Penuel Mnguni, of the End Time Disciples Ministries was beaten up by some angry South African youths in Mmakaunyane Village in the North Western part of South Africa last week Sunday November 15th. During the attack, the youths burnt down his church and tied him and a member of his church up with rope.
Penuel, who is known for engaging in strange practices such as asking his congregation to eat grass, strip naked and swallow live snakes, had been lying low for sometime after a mob led by South African vigilante group, the Economic Freedom Fighters, burnt his church at Soshanguve in Tshwane. He had tried setting up his church again inside a bush in Mmakaunyane community but was caught.

The tent of his church was burnt down by the angry youths while he and some of his church members were beaten and tied up. Police officers fortunately came to their rescue.

Resident Johanna Baloyi said the pastor and his congregation were not allowed in their area. “How can a person eat a rat and claim it tastes like chocolate? That’s evil!” A church member who was protecting her pastor said they have the right to attend any church they wanted. She said the rats have healed and saved them from suffering.

Pastor Rapes Teenager During Deliverance, Blames Devil

The Nasarawa State Police command on Monday arrested a 46 year-old pastor, Ifeanyi Bernard, for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in the Karu Local Government Area of the state.

According to police authorities, the alleged rape took place on November 3 when the pastor was performing deliverance on the teenager.

However, the pastor described the incident as the handiwork of the devil.

While parading the suspect at the Criminal Investigative Department, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sani Mohammed, said the suspect was apprehended following a report by the father of the victim, Mr. Martins Ijiwo.

According to the police, the cleric, who lives in the Alikima Mararaba area of the state, lured the victim into his house under the pretext of casting out demons from her.

The police boss said the cleric allegedly pushed her to his bed and raped her repeatedly.

The commissioner said the suspect threatened to kill the victim if she reported the incident to any member of her family.

However, when the father of the girl learnt of the incident, he reported the matter to the police. The police subsequently stormed the pastor’s home and arrested him.

Policemen also recovered bottles of anointing oil from the suspect’s home as well as a bedspread.

The CP said, “The pastor took advantage of his closeness to the girl’s family – who are members of his congregation – to rape their 13-year-old daughter under the guise of casting out demons from her.”

While speaking at the police command, the pastor confessed to the crime, adding that he didn’t know what came over him when he committed the crime.

He said, “I had been into evangelism for some years now and I have been casting out demons from people who have spiritual and family problems before I met this young girl through her father, Mr. Martins Ijiwo.

“I have been a friend of the family for quite some time.

“I used my anointing oil to lure her into my room and all of a sudden, I was carried away and before I knew what was happening, I saw myself making love to her.”

Kenyan Based Nigerian Pastor Who Sucks Women’s Breasts To Deliver Them From The Spirit Of Rejection, Gets Exposed By Radio Host

Pastor Chijioke of Breasts and Honey New International Church, who allegedly heals women by sucking their breasts was caught in the hot seat last week when a female radio DJ called him using a fake name to ask for spiritual guidance.
In the phone call, the DJ who works at Hero Radion, Nakuru, Kenya told the Pastor that her problem is that she can’t seem to get married. Every time she has a man, when things get serious between them, the men run away.

This is the lady that interviewed him..her name is Kate Vobic

The pastor then tells her that she has the spirit of rejection and he has to suck it out from her breasts in order to get deliverance.

“The spirit lies in the breast of a lady… the more you suck the breast the more you get the fulfilling of the Lord.”
The man’s congregation only has women and they are told not to wear bras to make sucking their breasts much easier.
The DJ then asked the pastor if he can tell her where in the bible it says that a pastor must suck a woman’s breasts to heal her.
The pastor refuses to answer and says,
“Don’t bring up the bible, you just come, we do this thing and then we finish.”
Later in the conversation, the DJ busts the pastor and tells him her real name and that he is live on air.
The defensive pastor then got angry and denied his real name which he had given her before and says she should call him a man of God instead.
When asked why he is deceiving people, he replied saying she is stupid and she just called because she has been hearing women saying that he sucks breasts nicely.

#BelieveItOrNot Pastor And His Family Lived With 19 Year Old Python For 10 Years Without Knowing

•It’s not an ordinary snake—Mallam Rabiu, snake charmer
•How it was discovered, killed; Area boys turn it to delicacy

Senior Pastor of the MegaFaith Ministries, Calabar in Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State, Rev Tony is said to have seen numerous miracles in his life and undeniably, the Almighty God has used him to do the extraordinary even for others.

All the same, the messenger of the Most High did not plan for the unusual that he witnessed, last weekend, at his 10 Ekpiken Close domicile.

Amba’s words, “Everything that happened that day was nothing less than a miracle. What if this beast had injured anyone, they would have said a lot of things about me and the ministry, I cannot thank God enough for what he did for my family and me because I have been living in that house for about a decade. Only God knows how longthe snake came into that place.’’

Angelic visit

Rev Amba told Niger Delta Voice, “Two of my children were home alone when they saw that a something like a machete was piercing through the ceiling so they ran out of the house. Fortunately, one of our members was coming to the house at that time, and he is the one, who inquired from them what the matter was and they told him what they noticed in the ceiling.”

Shocking discovery

“In trying to find out if there was someone with a machete in the ceiling because the opening made was quite obvious, they set up a form of ladder to climb and look into the place, but saw something that looked like a tyre, but they discovered it was shining. They decided to use a bigger torch light, what they saw was a python and they were shocked,” he said.

His words, “I just came back from a journey where I went to see my father in the lord in Abuja and also attended a conference there. My coming into Calabar was to prepare for our yearly programme, ‘September to Remember,’ but before coming back, I already knew that a battle had been won because God is always in control.”

September to remember

“The occurrence did not come as a surprise but it was not natural, because what could the snake be possibly eating for those years it has spent in that place, it is indeed a September to remember for me ,my family and the MegaFaith Ministries,” he added.

Amba further said, “When I was alerted, I decided to call the police so that they can kill it because I am not the kind of person, who reads meaning to every little thing. But they refused, arguing that they could kill it and it transforms into a human being based on the incident that led to its discovery, so they left without doing anything.”

Snake charmers

Man carrying the dead python

The clergyman said neighbours referred him to some Hausa snake charmers from Bogobiri. He complied and invited them. According to him, ”When they came (the Mallams), they first went into the ceiling to ascertain the size of the snake and came down to tell me that they will collect N60,000, but we bargained till they came down to N20,000, which we paid. I left them to continue the work of my Father because I had communion to administer that evening.”

He disclosed that by the time he returned, they had killed the snake but area boys did not allow the snake charmers to take it away, as they turned it into a delicacy.

Attack: An eyewitness, who preferred anonymity, told Niger Delta Voice that the snake almost disappeared after they (Mallams) led by Danzaria Rabiu climbed the ceiling the second time to kill it.

“When one of the ‘aboki’ climbed the ceiling, they could not find the snake anymore, so they started breaking the ceiling all over and the creature fell down in fury, started attacking them, but the four of them over powered the about 20 meters long creature” he stated.
The eyewitness added, “The incident was really strange although there is a little bush behind us, but it still does not explain how the snake entered and have been living for years, how did it survive for that long in that place, what was it feeding on? He asked.

Not an ordinary snake

Mallam Rabiu, who spoke in Pidgin English, said: “The snake don live there for a very long time don live there for up to 10 years and when we kill am. I discover from the counting say the snake don live up to 19 years. There is a way we dey take count the mark wey dey the belle to know how long the snake don live.”

The python

“The snake enter there when e still dey small , na for there wey the snake stay grow because we see different kind of fowl , rat ,lizard and dog bones, that na wetin we see for inside that ceiling be that.”

He, however, said that the snake did not look ordinary because it almost disappeared while they were trying to kill it after they had finished negotiating with the pastor, who called them to come and kill it.

He said: “When we come inside the ceiling the second timer, we did not see the snake again. We come begin break the ceiling before the thing come fall down.

“With the kind things wey dey our body, the snake no suppose attack us. I surprise when e begin open mouth to bite us.”

Pastor Seeks Divorce After 15 Years Of Marriage Over Nagging

A pastor, Tunde Adekunle, on Monday urged an Akure Customary Court to dissolve his 15 year-old marriage to his wife, Agbeke for alleged frequent nagging.

Adekunle, founder of Christ Living Church, Owo, Ondo State, said that his wife was hell-bent in making life unbearable for him.

The cleric also told the court that some of the scars on his body were caused by the constant fisticuffs between them, adding that there was no more affection existing in the marriage.

He said that the respondent was a “disgrace to his pastoral calling’’, noting that she had once torn his cloth in front of his congregation when he was preaching.

Agbeke, in her response, denied the allegations, but said that she was ready to part with the petitioner.

He said that the union had produced four children.

She accused her husband of being promiscuous, night crawling, failure to carrying out marital responsibilities of providing for the house and the upkeep and education of the children.

The President of the court, Mrs Olayinka Falodun, in her ruling urged the petitioner to take care of the welfare of the children.

Church General Overseer Converts To Islam In Ekiti And Gives Reasons

Says strange man in dreams convinced him to do so

In Nigeria, particularly among the Yoruba tribe where religious tolerance is most noticed, it is a regular occurrence to see muslims convert to Christianity. Hardly do we see a Christian turn to Islam. However, a man, former Pastor Adekunle Afolabi, founder and leader of Apata Adura Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ekute, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, broke that jinx recently. He converted fully to Islam after practising Christianity for over 25 years and even risen to become the General Overseer of his church, which have branches across Ekiti State.

Now known and addressed as Alfa Abubakar Afolabi, the 45-year-old man attributed his conversion to a divine encounter he had with a strange man in white in his dreams who showed him certain flaws
in Christianity and convinced him that indeed Islam is the only religion that leads to heaven.

In this interview with WOLE BALOGUN at his Ekute, Ado Ekiti residence, Alfa Abubakar spoke extensively on his experience. Excerpts:

How did your journey to Islam begin?

I am former Pastor Adekunle Afolabi, General Overseer and founder of Apata Adura Cherubim and Seraphim in Ekute, Ado-Ekiti, I have been a believer in Christianity for 25 years. I have been tutored at the Deeper Life Bible Church school in Ayobo, Lagos and my parents were attending the Assemblies of God Church. I later left the church to set up a C &S church where I became a Shepherd because God always reveals things to me either by vision or by dreams and to be candid, God reveals things to me and when God wants to make a confirmation of them, they always come to pass.

The spiritual gift has enhanced my career as a cleric in Christianity such that my church grew so fast that by the time we were celebrating fifth anniversary, the church has had branches across the state and over 150 members attended my headquarters in Ekute alone. I have also become the state chairman of the association of our church unification in Ado.

I was preparing for the anniversary when I started having dreams that eventually led to my conversion. At first in the dreams, I noticed my members were sitting on the floor in the church and some of them were covering their heads. I also saw that people were washing their hands and feet before entering the church just like it is done in Islam.

In my canal thinking, I thought God wanted us to be washing our hands and feet before entering the church and I instructed my members to be doing so, some did, while others didn’t.

I remembered when I was living in Ikere, around 1986, I used to attend a church then called the Church of Iya Olomi (Woman of holy water) in Ikere. There was an earthen pot in the church where we washed our legs before attending the church so I was thinking that may be that is what God wanted me to do. I went to buy an earthen pot in Ijebu and put it at the back of the church but something strange happened the day I did that, a heavy rain fell and erosion poured sand into the earthen pot that was filled with water and all the perfume and spiritual arrangement I put inside the water was spoilt. Then, I went to clean the pot and put another clean water again. To my surprise, when I was coming home I met little children at the earthen pot fetching water from it like a well. So, to avoid trouble in the neighbourhood, I dug out the earthen pot and made up my mind that it seems God is against what am doing.

In another of my dream, I saw women in Hijab in the church, so on one Sunday I informed my congregation that at the forthcoming anniversary, all women should come with hijab. Only 10 people adhered to the instruction during that period but I was yet to be converted.

After that, certain strange things began to happen in my dreams, I would notice that someone comes to me, wakes me up and then take me on a journey to somewhere, there the man will ask a question: he said do I know if the way I was taking in life is the right one?,I told him, yes since I do pray to God and he answers me. But he asked me again that what makes me believe I was right and I told him that since I can pray to God and he answers me. He asked me again that do I believe that God could write Quran in Arabic to people for them to know his teachings, I said to him I don’t know but knew that some people use Arabic as language. He then called my attention to my left hand, there he told me to open my palm which I did and he asked if I knew that the first line in my left hand stands for eight and the second stands for one which go for 81. He added that on my right hand, the first line stands for one in Arabic and the other stands for eight and that if these are added together, they are equal to 99 which stands for the ninety nine names of Allah. He said this means that Allah wrote his name on the palms of all human beings in Arabic.

I was baffled because I never had any knowledge in the Quran, so I decided to go and research on it. It got to a point that my wife and I started attending the mosque together and one day, an alhaji around my neighbourhood saw me coming out of the mosque, he was so surprised and challenged me and I told him everything that occurred to me which led me to the mosque. He told me that I must not keep this to myself so he advised me to keep walking in God’s way in Islam and stop preaching in the church but call on Imam or alfa to come and preach.

Eventually, I ended up inviting an Imam, a muslim cleric to preach in my church during our fifth anniversary last year. The church members were surprised as the Imam preached.

After the anniversary, the same man came to me in my dreams and tasked me on payment of tithe in my church, saying I should stop collecting it. So, the next Sunday I stopped collecting tithes from the congregation.

Of course, the church members were not all happy, some went to another church because they can’t continue with this type of doctrine and that was how the number of the congregation continued to reduce day after day.

I nearly got fed up, but I made up my mind that I won’t go back on my decision and religion and when it got to January ending, I made up my mind fully to convert to Islam.

As a prophet in C and S, you would be doing some spiritual work for people, now that you are now in Islam, do you still do the works?

Rendering spiritual help is given to all men by God for their own use, so the wisdom of it is given to me by God, he didn’t take it away from me because that is different from religion. It is a way of livelihood so, if any one falls sick, wants to give birth, is having stillbirth, stagnation at work, that is all what we use that for. He showed me places in the Bible where many prayed to God in Islamic way. By this praying, I mean to kneel down and bow down your head and face down.

How have your wife, relatives, friends and in-laws reacted to your newfound faith?

They have always known me to be truthful with whatever I’m doing and they respect me for that and also respect my decision, so there hasn’t been any cause for alarm.

The only person who at a time opposed it was my wife because she was a Christian when I married her. She said she would quit the marriage and I said it is okay and that I don’t want to die a Christian but would rather die a Muslim. But after a while, she discovered that we haven’t been worshipping any idol, that we have always been worshipping God. She came back and accepted me this way. Also, my children are supporting me and have joined me.

What about those who were your colleagues when you were in Christianity as a church leader?

They all left me the day I invited an Imam to come and preach in my church. That day of our anniversary. I have also been relieved of my position as president of our association. The only thing the pastors do once in a while is to call to ask me if indeed I still want to continue in the new faith and I usually confirm it. As for friends, some have stayed while others have left.

Have you now become a leader in Islamic faith?

No, I am still learning to be deeper in Islam. I had over 150 members in the church before but they have all left now. My church before has now been converted to a mosque and it is being attended by many muslims now that I cannot even count them. An Imam is currently running the mosque while I am also there as an Alfa, learning more about the religion.

How many wives have you now?

The Bible does not oppose marrying more than one wife. It says if you want to marry another wife, you must ensure that you treat her the same way you are treating the ones or one you have already married. The Bible only says that for those who want to become Bishops, they should marry only one.

Now you have only one wife, is it likely that you will marry another wife?

No. I have married some women before. Now, I cannot marry another woman. That is not in my plans. My first born is about 22 years old.

You know that there is this common opinion that religion does not really matter, whether you are a Christian, Muslim or traditionalist, your relationship with God matters most in getting to heaven, what is your view on this saying?

All I can say is that anyone who wants to go to heaven should just accept Islam peacefully. Islam to me now, is the only way to God. No other way.

You have spoken against collecting tithes, and said you have stopped collecting tithes from your members, are you concerned that you may not get money to run the mosque since that is a major way to get money?

All I can say about that is that God’s words advise that when we have, we should be grateful and also when we do not. Before I stopped collecting tithes, I have members who usually give me about N20 000 or N10 000 but I still have to stop collecting it in obedience to God. Now, I don’t collect tithe from anyone but Islam permits people to do saka, which is just a voluntary attitude to contribute to someone’s or an alfa’ or just extend mercy or what we call Sadaka.

This Pastor Says God Does Not Listen To Poor People

In a recent sermon he said :

“When one is rich and they have truly given their life to God they worship God truly. When one is poor they cannot worship God. It is in the mission of the devil to destroy people through poverty because he knows that when you are in poverty you will become a complaining machine instead of fulfilling your true purpose which is to worship God. The mammon god is the one responsible of controlling money. The mammon is the chief God of poverty. He directs the flow of cash. He ensures Christians are poor so that they will choose to be heathens. The mammon god also works in conjuction with marine spirits and ensures they take money to their kingdom.

When a demon of poverty attacks it does not attack an individual but it attacks the whole generation. You are not only poor alone but you are also poor for your children. It attacks the father, child and grandchildren. It uses four weapons, it uses the spirit of lack, pride, debt and lust.

When these four spirits attack you, you will not be able to separate them. These spirits make you live a lie. They make sure you start to believe your own lies. It blocks your eyes and it even leads into divorce and people believe they can do it on their own. When this spirit attacks you it makes you love the ones you are supposed to hate and makes you hate the ones you are supposed to love. When this spirit attacks you it ensures you never identify your blessor. No one succeed on their own you need people to succeed.

The spirit of poverty ensures that those around you are there to take away from you and never to give you. You are surrounded by people who are destined to take away from you. When you are under this spirit you are ever fighting and it ensures you cross the path of your blessor so that they walk out on you and you remain in poverty. Time and chance happens to them all and how you respond to the person who is supposed to bless you is what determines your success.

Controversial South African Pastor Reacts To His Arrest, Says No One Can Destroy Him

Controversial South African pastor, Penuel Mnguni who was just yesterday granted bail after he was arrested and charged for ‘cruelty against animals’ after forcing his members to swallow a live snake during one of his church services, says no one can destroy him because ‘he is already destroyed’. He said the South African police do not know who they are fighting…

“Maybe I need help if someone thinks I’m possessed let them come and deliver me, but if nothing come out then I will deliver you. Then one demon came and held her hands on the head of the Man of God but instead that demon was delivered. All laws, constitution and bi-lows are powerless; if they want to arrest me let them also arrest (Nandos).
God made these animals for us to eat; the world is fighting today because we used the same weapon. No one can destroy me, already I’m destroyed. Police don’t know who they are fighting against. There are people who are religious out there. These prophets who spoke about this long before it came to be and he was criticized same as my father. If you go to heaven and not find me it’s not heaven. To God Be the Glory”he said.

The gunmen, said to have used a motorcycle, reportedly trailed the deceased from a Diamond Bank branch, where he had gone to withdraw N3 million for the church. They reportedly fired shots into the air, which sent other road users and passers-by scampering for safety.

Reports said Pastor Okpokpo tried to escape when it became obvious that he was the target.
He reportedly slowed down on reaching a bad spot in the road, and the hoodlums shot at the tyres of
the Chosen vehicle he was driving, bringing the vehicle to an abrupt halt.

One of the gunmen then alighted from their motorbike, walked to the vehicle and shot Pastor Okpokpo in the stomach. He was said to have waited to ensure that Okpokpo was no longer breathing before he took the nylon bag containing the money, went back to his two colleagues in the motorbike and they zoomed off.

Fear-stricken residents were said to have rushed to the scene and raised alarm on discovering that the victim was wearing the Lord’s Chosen reflective jacket. Some of them were said to have alerted members of the church, who rushed him to the church’s clinic at Ijesha.

When news of the tragedy filtered in, those who knew him wept uncontrollably, dispelling the report as rumour, while some said he was still in Ogun State, where he had gone to organise a crusade.

Resurrection prayers

Vanguard reports that a prayer session aimed at resurrecting him reportedly held between 12.30p.m. and 8p.m. Some of the church members were, however, of the view that the gunmen could have been hired assassins and not robbers.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Police Command said it had begun investigation into the killing. The command said it was too early to say if it was a case of robbery or assassination.
A police source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Vanguard:

“We are leaving all avenues open in our investigation.”

Church members thronged Okpokpo’s Iju home to commiserate with his family. The family members hinted that Okpokpo’s body had been taken to his home town in Amizi, Ikwuano Local Government Area of Umuahia of Abia State.

60 Year Old Pastor Arrested With Hard Drugs Worth N609m At Lagos Airport (PHOTO)

A 60 year old resident pastor of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim at Agodo-Egbe, Ikotun Lagos, Prophet Micheal Raji, has been arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA over unlawful attempt to export of 174 kilogrammes of hard narcotic drugs worth N609 million to South Africa.

Prophet Raji, believed to be a member of a drug trafficking syndicate, concealed 91kg of Methamphetamine and 83kg of Ephedrine with an estimated street value of N609 million in different foodstuffs tied in polythene bags.

According to Vanguard, Prophet Michael Raji was arrested with the drug at the cargo section of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) during pre-shipment examination.
A statement by NDLEA says he was found with three international passports bearing his name with his picture

“Preliminary investigation has indicated that the 60 year old suspect Michael Raji is a top member of a drug syndicate operating in Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. The pastor had three international passports bearing his photographs. One of the passports bears the name Michael Raji while the other two bear the name Kadigun Fatah Ola. It was equally discovered that the church premises where he ministers also serves as a warehouse for narcotics,” NDLEA said. Speaking on his arrest, the NDLEA commander at the Lagos Airport, Mr. Hamza Umar said “I can tell you that this suspect is a smooth operator but we have uncovered his bag of tricks. The drugs were brought to the airport for export to South Africa where it was detected. Investigation eventually traced the movement of the drugs to his church premises where he was arrested,” Hamza stated.

NDLEA Arrests Pastor With 1.978kg Of Heroin

Operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, AIIA, Enugu, have arrested a Lagos pastor over drug trafficking.

The suspect, Daniel Lanre Akintola, 43, was caught with 1.978kg of heroin concealed in the false bottom of his luggage.
This is coming just a few weeks after a Lagos-based pastor was arrested for smuggling narcotics to South Africa at the Lagos Airport.

Vanguard gathered that another suspect, Onwueg-busi Tochukwu Victor, 48, was also arrested  with 51.5kg of ephedrine found inside his luggage.
NDLEA commander at the Enugu Airport, Mr. Nsikak-Abasi Udoh, disclosed that the 43-year-old pastor wanted to abandon his luggage at the arrival hall for fear of arrest.

He said: “Mr. Daniel Lanre Akintola unlawfully possessed 1.978kg of heroin, while returning from Entebbe, a major town in Central Uganda.

“He wanted to abandon the luggage, but we detected his intention. The drug was carefully concealed in a false bottom of his luggage.

“The second suspect is a businessman who had parcels of ephedrine weighing 51.5kg, which he wanted to smuggle to Ma-puto, Mozambique.

They are being investigated.”

Akintola, who claimed ownership of the bag containing heroin, said he was returning from a pastor’s conference.

He said: “I am a pastor with one of the pentecostal churches, at Ipaja, Lagos. I attended a minister’s conference in Uganda.

“This bag, where heroin was found, is my bag but I am a pastor and not a drug trafficker.”

The suspect, who hails from Oyo State but lives in Lagos, could not produce evidence that he actually attended a minister’s conference in Uganda.

Besides, he also did not give any reason for leaving Entebbe, Uganda, en-route Addis Ababa, to Enugu.

Pastor Behind CAN N7 Billion Bribe Story Begs- Oritsajefor’s wife

Helen Oritsejafor, fondly called Mama Helen Oritsejafor, is a co-pastor of the Word of Life Bible Church, Warri in Delta State, has revealed that the pastor behind the CAN bribe story has begged for forgiveness. Below are excerpts of her interview:

There is this controversy that CAN, led by your husband, received, first, N6 billion and later, N7 billion, from the Presidency to campaign for GEJ’s re-election. What was your initial reaction?

It’s quite laughable. The challenge we have in this country is that we are not people of thinkers, and it’s quite unfortunate. And that’s the reason some of these people keep playing on our intelligence. If we are people of thinkers, it would be very difficult for them to do so. A thing like that never happened to start with. It’s what propelled it that I think I will like to address.

The whole essence was to create division amongst Christians. Strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter. Suddenly, Christians are now the ones that everyone believes that in order for them to win an election, they must have our support, for the first time in the history of our nation; instead of people to play it right and bring down their manifesto.

When they are unable to do that, what they now chose to do is to discredit the leadership hoping to be able to leverage through that by securing a portion of our Christians to be in support of what they are trying to do, which is extremely sad because what that tells me is that they must be the ones doing it and they also think that others will have to do same as well.

And since they could not get the leadership of Christians, the question will be who tried to bribe the leadership of CAN to sway their votes two years ago and how much was it they offered the leadership of CAN? And at the end of the day, the leadership of CAN stood up and walked away from such the meeting because the question then was all we just needed you to do is to de-marry this man and we will give you this and this man walked out of the meeting.

And that’s why since then they have been going after him because they believe he is a man that cannot be bribed. He is a man that is very passionate about everything he is doing. And because they know that, they are doing their very best to see how they can malign him and give him a bad name. They’ve done everything to set him up.

I thank God no one has been able to come out and say that he was caught in the house of XYZ. Everything you see is to come up with different stories to give him a bad name. But it’s too late now. The reason I say it’s too late now is because we have Nigerians who are smart enough to read between the lines knowing fully well that something is evidently wrong here.

The question is, are you going to vote someone to power who has done everything to rubbish your faith and to rubbish what you believe by going under the leadership to cast aspersion on it, or are you going to support someone who is upholding your tenets? It’s an easy question.

It’s just like someone telling you that your parents are bad but the children are good. The same yardstick used in caning your parents will be used in caning you too. If you are a true child of those parents, you will know that whosever can wag his hands on your parents can also do same to you and you will never pay attention.
