Cristiano Ronaldo lands first acting role, to star alongside Angelina Jolie

Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid superstar, is set to make his acting debut alongside Hollywood star Angelina Jolie, in a TV drama.

Ronaldo, the 2016 FIFA best male player, has signed up to appear in Hayat Koprusu, a new TV drama series about Syrian refugees.

Eyup Dirlik, director of the series, said that Ronaldo will make a cameo appearance in the drama that will feature actors and actresses from all over the world.

“The series is about the plight of a Syrian refugee family who flees the war-torn country, and what they go through.

“We will begin filming in the first week of April, the series is about the plight of a refugee family and what they go through.

“There will be appearances from actors and actresses from all over the world including Cristiano Ronaldo, Angelina Jolie and Nancy Ajram,” he said.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a five-time ‘Ballon d’Or’ winner.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Reportedly End Their 10-Month Relationship

According to some sources actor Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have decided to put an end to their relationship which only lasted 10 months

According to In Touch Weekly, while both parties are said to not be taking this well, there seems to be confusion as to how the relationship ended.

“Not long after Halloween, Orlando confessed to pals that he’d decided to end their relationship. He claimed that he’s just not ready to get married and have babies,” a source said.

“She (Perry) said they were on different life paths and as much as she likes him, it’s time to move on,” another source claimed.

Bloom already has a five-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. They separated in 2013.

Perry and Bloom hit headlines in September after photos emerged of Bloom, naked on a paddleboard during a romantic holiday in Sardinia.

Hollywood stars lashed out on social media Wednesday morning as Donald Trump declared victory and became the 45th US president.

 

The heated race for the White House saw Donald Trump win key battleground states on Wednesday before declaring victory, prompting Hillary Clinton’s strong mass of celebrity support to express their shock and disdain with the result.

 

“Someone give me hope,” actress and stand-up comedian Sarah Silverman tweeted when the first results began to surface.

 

“I’ve got you and I’m not letting go. @HillaryClinton,” wrote American Crime Story’s Sarah Paulson as she posted a photo of her holding on to a Clinton doll.

 

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger showed his indignation at the use of his track You Can’t Always Get What You Want at Trump’s victory speech, tweeting “maybe they’ll ask me to sing at the inauguration. ha”.

 

And rapper Snoop Dog called voters “zombies” for voting in a man unfit for office, adding “what a world”.

 

Captain America Chris Evans wrote “This is an embarrassing night for America. We’ve let a hatemonger lead our great nation. We’ve let a bully set our course. I’m devastated”.

 

Others took a milder approach, asking for “unity” and “understanding” among supporters.

 

American businessmen Mark Cuban wrote “I’m an American citizen First. Last. Always”.

 

CW’s Superman Tyler Hoechlin reminded his fans “we must love and look after one another. No labels, no colors, no hate, love all”.

 

Singer Ariana Grande was “utterly terrified” as Trump’s victory drew nearer, and comedian Patton Oswalt thanked all the major networks “you wanted a white-knuckle story. You got one. With a sad ending”.

 

Among the distressed celebrities there were also a few British voices.

 

Talk show host and comedian James Corden wrote that he was experiencing “Brexit feelings”, while singer Lily Allen urged Canada to “build a wall”.

 

Harry Potter writer J K Rowling urged people not to let “hate speech become normalised”, adding “we hold the line”.

 

American actress Chloe Sevigny took a more visual approach, posting on her Instagram page a picture of the American flag with the words “I’m terrified”.

 

And Diane Kruger, a German descendent in Hollywood, posted only a black background photo.

 

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane also tweeted: “I truly cannot visualize the rambling, incoherent creature I saw at the debates now addressing the nation from the Oval Office.”

 

Singer Cher wrote that the “world will never be the same”, adding Trump’s victory was “sad for the young”.

 

There were also a few messages of support for President Trump.

 

Martial arts actor Steven Seagal congratulated the Republican “for your stunning victory over your opponent”.

 

While actress Kirstie Alley wrote “against all odds,, against the establishment and even against most from the GOP.. u did it!”.

Obasanjo’s Book, ‘My Watch’ To Be Adapted Into Hollywood Movie

Former Nigerian president Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s book, titled ‘My Watch’ has been adapted into a movie which will be directed by award winning director Jeta Amata alongside other Hollywood partners. ‘My Watch’ which chronicles Obasanjo’s life and presidency, was launched in 2014 and caused quite a stir during the period for the commentary on past leaders, as well as then serving president Goodluck Jonathan.

 

The movie will be featuring Nollywood and Hollywood actors, and will be shot in locations both within and outside the country. Jeta Amata, together with American actress Vanessa Martini and Nollywood actor Enyinna Nwigwe met with the former president yesterday where the deal was finalized.

Kanye West is at it, again. The rapper has recorded a remixed version of Aerosmith’s, Dude (Looks Like a Lady), as a cruel jibe at Wendy in an LA studio last weekend. According to Daily Mail, the rapper is pissed off that the Talk Show host has repeatedly talked on air about him being secretly gay and has called his marriage to Kim Kardashian ‘one of convenience.’

On the track, Kanye made references to untrue rumors that Wendy was born a man and had a sex change which initially circulated in the 1990s during her notorious radio career in New York. Source says Kanye’s lyrics went:

‘You obsessed with me/Keep testing me/You may be wearing dresses, but you a man like me/Got bigger hands than me/Let me see, your birther please/A dude in a wig that really wanna be me!’

‘Kanye played the record for some of the artists he has been collaborating with in the studio and everyone was going crazy.

‘It was really on the level of Nas’s “Ether” diss record to Jay-Z.’

But Kim has persuaded her rap-star husband not to release the song dissing the chat show host, fearful of the backlash from the trans community, a source exclusively revealed to Daily Mail Online

However when Kim, 35, heard about Kanye’s song, she told him to shelve it – despite also wanting Wendy to stop attacking her family.

The reality star told Kanye the song could make him seem transphobic and she was fearful of the fallout following her step-father Bruce Jenner’s transition into Caitlyn Jenner.

The insider told Daily Mail Online: ‘Kim was concerned that Caitlyn would be offended by the record – it would appear as though Kanye was in some way attacking that movement instead of just targeting Wendy.

‘She didn’t want Kanye to be labelled trans-phobic.’

Pope Francis To Appear In A Hollywood Movie ‘Beyond The Sun’ ,The Vatican Confirms

Pope Francis is set to feature in a movie ‘Beyond the Sun’ which will make him officially the first Roman Catholic pope to play himself in a big screen production. The movie will be a family adventure story where children from different cultures emulate the apostles while searching for Christ in the world around them,according to AMBI Pictures,the makers of the film.

The idea for the film came from the Holy Father, who approached the filmmakers at AMBI Pictures, asking them to produce a movie that could effectively portray Gospel passages & parables to children

All proceeds from “Beyond the Sun” will go to El Almendro and Los Hogares de Cristo, charities in
Argentina that provide support for at-risk children and young adults in need. AMBI pictures co-founder Andrea Iervolino said in a statement that working with the Holy Father will be a highlight of his career. “Our excitement and gratitude toward His Holiness, Pope Francis participating in this film is beyond words.

“This is not just a movie for us, it’s a message, and who better to have on your side to deliver an important societal and spiritual message than the Pope.”

According to the Vatican,the pope won’t act in the movie, but video clips of the pope will be shown in the movie. Monsignor Dario Edoardo Vigan? of the Vatican stated “video clips of the Pope could appear in the film.” ”The Pope is not an actor”

According to People magazine, the stars tied the knot this weekend, reps have not yet responded to requests for comment.

There were several rumours they had been married earlier this year but they are finally married now.
Kutcher, 37, and Kunis, 31, met while playing love interests on the Fox sitcom, which ran from 1998 to 2006.

“My first real kiss ever was with him on the show,” she said in W magazine’s August issue, adding, “We all get movie star crushes. I’m marrying mine.”

Mila and Ashton had a baby girl in October 2014 and they’ve tried to keep everything about their relationship and child ‘hush hush’.

Usher Raymond And Justin Bieber Sued For Ripping Off Another Artist

Justin Bieber and Usher are being sued for their song, “Somebody to Love,” because some powerful judges just ruled that they may have ripped off another artist.
According to TMZ:

The Bieber/Usher collaboration is “Somebody to Love,” recorded in 2010. A guy named Devin Copeland, known as De Rico, and his songwriting partner Mareio Overton claim the famous pair ripped off their 2008 song by the same name.

Problem for Copeland and Overton … a federal judge ruled the songs weren’t similar at all and booted them out of court in 2014.

But a federal appeals court just ruled, the first judge was way off base, concluding, the Bieber/Usher hook have an “almost identical rhythm and strikingly similar melody.”

So the case now goes back for a full-blown trial where they’re seeking $10 million in damages. Listen to the songs. If you were on the jury, would you nail the Biebs?

Hollywood Star, Angelina Jolie made a star appearance at the 25th African Summit in South Africa.

The actress who is also a U.N. special envoy on refuge issues bothered on rape as a weapon of warfare and charged African leaders cum representatives to support women rights.

Jolie stressed the need for women protection in Africa and beyond.

Jolie had been invited to speak on women and conflict at the Sandton Convention Centre, on Friday.

She shared a panel with the African Union Commission Chairwoman Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, former British Foreign Secretary William Hague and Senegalese activist Bineta Diop.

Zainab Bangura, who is the U.N.’s Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict was also in attendance.

Jolie said: ‘There is a global epidemic of violence against women – both within conflict zones and within societies at peace – and it is still treated as a lesser crime and lower priority.

Screen legend famous for roles in Hammer Horror films, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars has died. He died four days ago, June 7, at a hospital after suffering heart and respiratory problems, but the news only broke yesterday night.

Lee also played Dracula, the bad guy in the James Bond thriller “The Man with the Golden Gun,” and the deliciously evil wizard Saruman in the “Lord of the Ring” films. Lee appeared in more than 250 films. He was 93. May his soul rest in peace.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney plans on having even more singing nuns, this time with the live-action Cinderella producer Alli Shearmur and Legally Blonde writers Kristen “Kiwi” Smith and Karen McCullah onboard. No word yet on whether or not Whoopi Goldberg or Maggie Smith will return as Sister Mary Clarence and Mother Superior, respectively. But Lauryn Hill (who co-starred in the 1993 sequel) was spotted at the Apollo Theater this week, taking all of Harlem to church. A career comeback as a rapping nun? Harrison Ford Involved In Plane Crash … Hollywood Actor Seriously Injured

Hollywood action star and legend,Harrison Ford was involved in a plane crash when he crash landed into a Venice, California golf course Thursday afternoon.
According to reports, moments before the crash, in audio of his conversation with air traffic control, an unemotional Ford can be heard asking for an emergency landing because his engine had failed.
The 72-year-old actor who has been a licensed pilot for nearly two decades, wasn’t going to be able to make the runaway at Santa Monica Airport so he picked a long green at the nearby Penmar golf course to land out of the way of the congested neighborhood.
 
While Ford was rushed from the scene bleeding heavily from a head wound, his injuries were described only as ‘moderate’ and he is expected to make a full recovery.

‘At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered, but ok! He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man,’ his son Ben Ford tweeted just two hours after the crash. ‘Thank you all for your thoughts and good vibes for my dad.’

The former child star shared a snap of a girl with her hand plunged deep in her shorts.

Published last week the 22-year-old singer – who has been open about experimenting with drugs in the past – is seen working on her laptop with what appears to be a pile of cannabis, a rolled up bank note and a vial of white powder on a table in front of her.

Miley, who was filmed using a bong to smoke the psychedelic herb salvia in 2010 – has also confessed to using ‘happy drugs’, including cannabis and ecstasy, in the past.

She said during an interview in 2013: ‘Those are happy drugs, social drugs. They make you want to be with friends.’

When he first took on the role of James Bond in the mid-1990s, Pierce Brosnan was as celebrated for his strapping physique and smouldering good looks as he was his acting skills.

But it appears that the 6ft 1in Irish actor has been trumped in the height department by his son Dylan, who stood much taller than his dad as they shopped in Malibu, California, on Tuesday.

Stepping out on his 18th birthday, model Dylan wore a patterned shirt, black skinny jeans and biker boots as he towered over his father while they picked up some reading material at a news stand.

Posing a far less imposing figure, Pierce, 61, donned a sky blue button-down shirt, tucked into a smart black jeans, which he teamed with a pair of black hybrid trainers.

Holding a trendy pair of tinted sunglasses, the handsome actor chatted away with his offspring as they also stopped in at a local Rite Aid before speeding away in Pierce’s car.

Dylan, who was recently unveiled as the new face of Saint Laurent, is Pierce’s first son with his second wife Keely Shaye Smith, who is also the mother of his youngest son Paris.

Chris Rock Slams ‘Racist’ Hollywood

Chris Rock has slammed the “slave state” of Mexicans in Hollywood and questioned why so few black women are considered for roles in film and television.

In an essay for The Hollywood Reporter, the American performer said black actors are frequently overlooked. 

“When it comes to casting, Hollywood pretty much decides to cast a black guy or they don’t,” wrote the former Saturday Night Live cast member, whose work spans stage, film and television.

“We’re never ‘in the mix’. When there’s a hot part in town and the guys are reading for it, that’s just what happens. It was never like, ‘Is it going to be Ryan Gosling or Chiwetel Ejiofor for Fifty Shades of Grey?’ And you know, black people f—, too. White women actually want to f— black guys, sometimes more than white guys.”

Rock also uses casting rumours about the second season of True Detective to illustrate his point about black women. 

“I never heard anyone go, ‘Is it going to be Amy Adams or Gabrielle Union?’ for that show,” he said. 

“I didn’t hear one black girl’s name on those lists. Not one. Literally everyone in town was up for that part, unless you were black. And I haven’t read the script, but something tells me if Gabrielle Union were Colin Farrell’s wife, it wouldn’t change a thing. 

“And there are almost no black women in film. You can go to whole movies and not see one black woman. They will throw a black guy a bone. OK, here’s a black guy. But is there a single black woman in Interstellar? Or Gone Girl? Birdman? The Purge? Neighbours? I’m not sure there are. I don’t remember them.

“I go to the movies almost every week, and I can go a month and not see a black woman having an actual speaking part in a movie. That’s the truth.”

Rock described Hollywood as “a white industry, just as the NBA is a black industry – I’m not even saying it’s a bad thing; it just is”. 

But he claimed that while it is “the most liberal town in the world”, it harbours racism. 

“Not racist like, ‘F— you, ni—-,’ racist, but just an acceptance that there’s a slave state in LA. There’s an acceptance that Mexicans are going to take care of white people in LA that doesn’t exist anywhere else. 

“You’re telling me no Mexicans are qualified to do anything at a studio? Really? Nothing but mop up?”

He adds that there is “probably a Mexican David Geffen” mopping the floors “who’s never going to be given a shot”. 

The essay follows a recent interview with New York magazine, in which Rock describes the notions of American race relations and racial progress as “nonsense”. 

“To say Obama is progress is saying that he’s the first black person that is qualified to be president,” he said. 

“That’s not black progress. That’s white progress. There’s been black people qualified to be president for hundreds of years.

“You know, my kids are smart, educated, beautiful, polite children. There have been smart, educated, beautiful, polite black children for hundreds of years. The advantage that my children have is that my children are encountering the nicest white people that America has ever produced. Let’s hope America keeps producing nicer white people.”


Ebola in Hollywood? Ghen Ghen!!!

A person who landed at LAX after traveling to Liberia has been rushed to Centinela Hospital Medical Center to be tested for Ebola.

The patient was brought to the Centinela Hospital Medical Center Emergency Department on Tuesday night by ambulance from Los Angeles International Airport.

“Ambulance personnel alerted the hospital prior to arrival so upon entry to the hospital campus, all CDC precautions were fully implemented,” said the hospital in a statement. “The hospital has been preparing for the possibility of this situation for weeks and staff has been trained per CDC protocols.”

The patient does not have any symptoms of Ebola, but precautions were taken due to travel history and the patient has not yet tested positive or negative for the virus. The patient will remain isolated in the hospital’s ER for evaluation and testing will be conducted in consultation with the CDC, according to the hospital.

The hospital remains open to seeing other patients and “are taking all steps to ensure our patients, their families, staff, and the community are protected.”

In the wake of the global Ebola scare, which has now taken the life of one U.S. patient, Eric Duncan, in Dallas, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that five of the biggest airports in the U.S will have enhanced Ebola screening for passengers coming from the West African countries of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
