Agbaje Accuses APC Of Planning To Rig Lagos Guber Poll
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Jimi Agbaje has raised an alarm over plans by the All Progressives Congress to rig the April 11 governorship poll in the state. Agbaje listed the various ways the APC plans to swing results in favour of its candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode.
Agbaje in statement signed by the Director of Publicity of his campaign organisation, Felix Oboagwina, cited bribing of security officers and electoral officials, cancellation of unduly voided votes, intimidation of the PDP supporters, hijacking of ballot boxes, stuffing of voting boxes, deprivation and delaying of electoral officers and materials to PDP strongholds as some of the methods the APC wants to use to rig the poll.
He noted that the APC has also earmarked a large chuck of money to induced voters and electoral officers, including ad hoc and bonafide staffers manning the polling units, ward, local government and state levels.

Amaechi Appeals For Peace During Gubernatorial, Pleads For Mercy
Gov. Chibuike Amaechi has appealed to those he has offended with his actions and inactions in the state as governor to forgive him, saying he acted in the interest of the state.
The governor in a pre- election broadcast yesterday in Port Harcourt, also urged people of the state to shun violence during the coming governorship election.
He said people of the state should note that the election was for the progress of the state, adding that the common good of the state should be the concern of all. “As we prepare for that election, we have a little time to reflect on the issues at stake. It must be about Rivers state. It must be about its progress and the prosperity of all who live here and are from here.
“It must be about development, good governance, peace and security. We need to stand firm as a people for what we believe in…”

Maku’s Gubernatorial Ambition Is A Fraud, Says PDP
The Nasarawa state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday has accused former Information Minister, Labaran Maku, of fraudulently obtaining the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, ticket to contest the 2015 gubernatorial elections in the state.
Addressing a press conference at the state secretariat of the party, along Jos road Lafia, the state capital, Solomon Ewuga, Director General, Agabi Campaign Organization alleged that Mr. Maku had resorted to politics of ethnicity and religion.
