Mavin Boss Don Jazzy, Tsaboin launch ‘Flobyt’, a free WiFi service.

Mavin Records founder, Don Jazzy, and technology company Tsaboin on Friday launched Flobyt, a free WiFi service.

Flobyt is an easy-to-use WiFi service which has been installed across several locations in Lagos.

Some of these locations include eateries, parks, taxis, buses, restaurants, and cafés, Dele Odufuye, Tsaboin MD/CEO, revealed during the launch in Ikeja, Lagos.

The service, he said, was designed to replicate the home WiFi experience when people are out and about.

At the specified locations, between 10-30 people can be connected to Flobyt at the same time while in locations with higher traffic, Flobyt Max can provide internet service to 10 – 80 concurrent users.

“It’s quite easy. You simply walk into any of our partner outlets and patronise them. While you are at that, you can log into Flobyt’s free WiFi service available. Join the “Flobyt FREE Wifi”. If your browser pops up for authentication, just visit www.mavinrecords.com or click on “Free Access” button shown to you,” said Odufuye.

“We are using state-of-the-art Wifi technology equipment that balances speed, quality of service, security and data consumption. These equipment are light weight and easier to manage. These are the technological and business edges,” he added.

Don Jazzy, in his remarks, noted that he believes in Flobyt to succeed, disclosing that it is one of the “few investments” he’s set to unveil.

“I believe so much in this. This is one of the few other investments we are going to be sharing with you.

“I have been on social media for a long time. I know how expensive data is. I give free airtime, now it’s time to give free WiFi,” he said.

Flobyt is currently installed in Bar Enclave, Ilupeju; FoodHouse, Ikosi; Lounge 9a, Anthony; Massimo Bar, Ikeja; Grace’s Cakes, Ogba; Jazzment Salon Lekki; Kayz Place Barbershop, Lekki; Amala Express, Lekki; White House, Sabo, Yaba and Road Star Burger, Lekki.

Supo Dosunmu, show promoter who gave D’banj and Don Jazzy their big break has died

Supo Dosunmu a popular US show promoter, CEO of Unique promotions and son of late Senator Wahab Dosunmu is dead. Supo died on Monday, January 16, 2017 in the United States.

Before his death, Supo (in black) was quite popular in the Nigerian Music Scene and he was a respected and popular show promoter in United States who took Dbanj and Don Jazzy on their first major tour US several years back.

Supo who had gone through thirteen surgeries had been off the scene since his March 18, 2010 car crash that left him bed ridden for over two years. He was just kicking off his career as a promoter again before he died.

Social media is currently buzzing with condolence messages from his family and friends..

Don Jazzy begins music industry ‘revolution’ in Mavin Records

Lack of adequate structure has always been the bane of the Nigerian music industry but in 2017, Mavin Records appears intent on changing that.

What is ‘structure’ in regards to a music industry?

It’s basically the presence and availability of all the components required for the production and sales of music; from the conception stage till it gets to the ears of consumers.

From artistes and repertoire (A&R) to songwriters to producers to road managers to promoters, a lot goes into the process of building up an artiste to attain music/commercial success.

In reality, there’s hardly any record label in Nigeria that possesses the required manpower for a proper structure. In essence, there’s no wholesome record label in Nigeria.

Mavin Records, headed by Don Jazzy, is working towards building a structure by increasing its workforce from 55 to 120 in 2017.

This year, Don Jazzy plans to employ a licensing specialist, touring and logistics specialist, talent management professionals, style and image experts, among others.

The ace record producer made this known in his New Year’s message to Nigerians, Mavin business partners, fans and the media.

In part, Don Jazzy wrote: “A Mavin is someone who has exceptional talent and skill in their field. As part of our 2016 goals, we decided to increase our workforce to 50, which we surpassed by a slight margin as we have a workforce of 55.

“As you all know, the entertainment business is not complete without those who are skilled in the business, therefore we are seeking to expand our workforce to 120 in 2017 considering our forthcoming projects.

“We are reviewing portfolios for Business executives, Client servicing professionals, Style and Image experts, Digital Data and VAS Management executives, Government Liaison officers, CSR enthusiasts, Creative and Visual Production nerds, Talent and Catalog Management professionals, Content Developers, Retail, Sales and Fashion, Licensing specialist, Touring and Logistics specialist, Social Media Analyst and International Representatives in Accra, Nairobi , Abidjan, Dar es Salaam, Johannesburg, Douala , New York , London and Paris.

“If you are Mavin and you have what it takes become part of a revolution in the music and entertainment industry, then send your CV with a detailed cover letter to info@mavinrecords.com for consideration.”

His message, obviously, comes across as a signal of intent that Mavin Records wants to build a solid structure.

If successfully executed, perhaps, in time, other labels would follow suit and before long, Nigeria will have a structured music industry.

Mavin Records is home to Tiwa Savage, Iyanya, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks, Dr. Sid, D’Prince and DI’Ja.

Entertainers Can get Nigeria Out of Recession – Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed says that the creative industry has the potential of getting the country out of the present economic recession.

Mohammed said this on the sidelines of the premier of the movie; “My Name is Kadi” , produced by Aisha Mohammed, which starred Blossom Chukwujekwu, Kenneth Okolie, Tina Mba, Slyvya Oluchy, Jide Bolarinwa and Josephine Ramos.

According to the minister, some countries’ of the world have improved their Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from the creative industry.

“There are many countries in the world that have made it from the creative industry; for instance in California, the GDP is largely dependent on the creative industry, which is like the fifth in the world.

“If we put our efforts to handle piracy and ensure quality, Nigeria can as well generate huge revenue from the sector,” Mohammed said.

He commended the efforts of practitioners in the creative industry, adding that they were ahead of the government, and had projected the country’s entertainment industry to limelight.

Mohammed, however, said the government would assist practitioners in the industry to ensure they derived economic benefits from their creative exploits and the country at large.

“The good news is that the artists, musicians, filmmakers have gone so far ahead of government; government needs to catch up with them.

“Few years ago, there was a 2020 vision committee and the idea was that Nigeria by the year 2020 should be one of the 20 foremost film producing countries in the world.

“That was in 2012 and by then we were already number three in the world and this is largely built by the efforts, the passion of the practitioners in the creative industry.

“The government is reaching out to them,” he said.

The minister said there was the need for the guilds and associations in the creative industry to unite so as to gain full support of the government.

According to him, the government can only support organised groups.

“It is not like everything is okay with the creative industry because in recent times we observed that they seem largely unstructured and we want to assist them to get themselves to be better organised.

“Now, we have about 168 guilds and association of film makers within the industry alone.

“There is no way the government can deal with 168 groups, so that is why we are assisting them get through the Motion Picture Practitioners Council of Nigeria (MOPICON) bill.

I’m happy for him – Ubi Franklin on Iyanya Signing With Mavin Records

CEO of Made Men Music Group (MMMG) and Iyanya’s former manager, Ubi Franklin, has reacted to the singer’s major move to Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.

Speaking exclusively to Linda Ikejis Blog (LIB), Ubi states that he’s happy for his former partner and does not feel betrayed by his move to a competing music label.

News broke this morning that your former partner, Iyanya has signed onto Don Jazzy’s music label, Mavin Records. We would love to know your stance and reaction to this?
I’m happy for Iyanya. The truth is that, if you are happy for somebody, God will be happy with you and you will be happy with yourself. I don’t have anything against him.

This is music business and everything you do – as far your music is right and you are making the music for the world, it doesn’t depend on the label that you are in for all to enjoy it. I’m happy he is where great music comes out from, a label with one of the best music producers in Africa. I’m so happy for him, today is his birthday and I wish him all the best.

Iyanya informed everyone initially that he was going to start up his own label. This has however changed. Do you feel betrayed?
We are all human beings; today Iyanya is 30 by age. As a 30-year-old man, you are able to take any decision on your own, you can change your mind, you can do whatever you want to do. The most important thing is that from what I’ve seen, trust me he is happy. Nobody takes a decision that is going to be bad for him.. I still know he still has his own plans for his Label. But at this point, I know Iyanya is where good music comes from.

So you don’t feel betrayed?
No No! The only way I will feel betrayed is if there was something he owed me and he didn’t give back to me, but there is nothing like that. I’m happy for him.

Do you see any more collaborations between your team and Iyanya in the future?
That’s the funny thing about music, everything is possible. When you see people in music having issues, just leave them, the wheel goes round, if you check my snapchat, I’m always dancing to his music. There might be a future collaboration, I’m open to anything. I’m a business man, there is nothing we are fighting for.

American Artistes Are Scared Of Working With Me– Don Jazzy

Supreme Mavin Dynasty (SMD) boss, Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy opened a can of worms when he lashed out at American artistes in an interview with TheCable, that they are scared of working with him.

According to him, most American artistes usually chicken out of working with him because they do not have the guts to stand up to the quality of what he dishes out.

“Most of these American artistes would call you, they believe you have something that they like, so they call you to come and try something out. A bunch of people that I have tried to work with or have tried to work with me chicken out at the end of the day because they aren’t really ready for the music change; they want me to tweak it till it gets back to their sound. I can give you your sound, but then, you called me for something and then I try to give to my sound and I want you to do your thing on top of it which would give the sound a wider recognition but they say they aren’t ready for this switch drastically. I think they are still scared” Don Jazzy said.

Lai Mohammed Tasks Sunny Ade, Don Jazzy, Other Artistes On National Orientation Song

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has commissioned top artistes and producers to produce theme song for the proposed national orientation campaign tagged, “The Change BeginsWith Me’’.

Mohammed who met with the artistes on Sunday in Lagos tasked them to come up with the song, preaching the need for a paradigm shift in the country’s value system in the major Nigerian languages by March 15.

Some of the top artistes at the meeting were Chief Sunday Adegeye, popularly known as King Sunny Ade, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde, Don Jazzy, MI Abaga, Tiwa Savage and Peter and Paul of P-Square.

The minister said that the song would form the nucleus of the campaign, focusing on the need for every Nigerian to start working towards the desired change in the country.

He stressed that government recognised the strong appeal of the creative instincts of the music icons and their works, hence the collaboration with them to make the song.

“I urge you all to see the project as your project and do everything you can to ensure that the campaign is a success,” he said.

Sunny Ade thanked the minister for recognising the power of the creative industry and involving the musicians in the project.

The musical icon noted that it was the responsibility of everyone to bring about the much-needed change and they were proud to be part of those who would drive the change mantra. He noted that he was not new at singing national re-orientation songs and assured that he would work with his colleagues to ensure that the campaign was a success.

“I am not new at the game. When the nation was facing some challenges in the early nineties, I single-handedly funded a song project, “Nigeria yi ti gbogbo wa ni’’- Nigeria belongs to us all-. “I did that out of patriotism and together with my colleagues, it was successful.

Artistes are patriotic people and we are concerned about the unity and progress of this country.

We thank you for giving us this opportunity and we promise to do our best to ensure the campaign is a success,” he said.

How I Met With Don Jazzy And Became A ‘Mavin’ – Di’ja

Beautiful Mavin artist music artist Di’ja has been in the news for a while now following her controversial traditional wedding ceremony held in Kaduna state.

In an interview with City People Magazine, Di’ja opened up on her relationship with Mavin Records boss Don jazzy, described her kind of music and how her parents embraced her music.
When asked about how her relationship with Don Jazzy, Di’ja disclosed that:

Meeting Don Jazzy, I felt like I was reborn. I met him through my manager. He told we were going to
see a producer, I didn’t know where we were going so we ended up in Don Jazzy’s house. I didn’t even know where I was. I ended up meeting Baby Fresh, Altims and a few others. They started listening to songs that I had done before and I had this nervousness in me. Not long after, I saw a shadow behind me and when I turned around to see who it was at the door, it was Don Jazzy and I almost fainted, I just told myself to stay composed. It even got worse when Don Jazzy started listening to my songs, I just got so nervous. He told us he would get back to us and the next day he pulled a call through and that was it.

On when she finally signed on to Mavin Records, Di’ja said: “We started recording and we recorded quite a few tracks. At that time nobody was bothered about a contract or papers, we just wanted to work. From there I met Reekado and then Korede Bello. We didn’t even know there was a plan; we were just happy working and enjoying each other’s company. We recorded for about 8 to 9 months at that time before Don Jazzy even considered giving us a contract.
Speaking on how she chooses her kind of music, Di’ja disclosed that she enjoys been herself anytime she is about writing her song and it can take her up to five years to finish song.
She said: “I didn’t, like I said I just became myself. I can write a song for 5 years. I still have songs that I haven’t finished writing since 2008. This is because there’s just this thing about been yourself. Write your songs as they come from your heart. I like been crazy and I experiment my craziness while recording.”
Mavin artist Di'ja
“Sometimes I would be like Altims or BabyFresh please commot that thing and they would be like they love it and I should do it again. Sometimes I would beg them to take it off and when Don Jazzy walks in I would be like a little disturbed and he would encourage me to be crazy, be free and be myself, he would say be stupid, it is actually trying to be stupid you find your smartest moment. Because it is during that moment of been stupid you would realize something that would pay off. I think Music comes with a form of madness. You just have to be free, crazy, stupid and yourself. Don’t try to please everyone, please yourself even if it takes you to be crazy.”

See Who Don Jazzy is Blaming For His Seperation With Dbanj

In an exclusive interview with City People, Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy said that his breakup with his former business partner D’banj was created by fans of the Mo’ Hits label and the media.

See what he said below:

“I keep saying that, the problem  you guys think we had was caused by both the press and our fans, because we were alright. D Banj is working, I am working, we can meet up. We can gist, laugh and whatever”
“Yes and no, I am not losing anything. I have many artistes at hand right now. I’m a producer; my work is to look for artistes. If I want to sign more, I will. There is no doubt that he is a huge and
successful entertainer, but then there is no glory in actually working with huge people. I like bringing up people.

Eight Amazing Nigerian Music Collaborations That Will Totally Shut Down The Music Industry

Ever wondered what a mash-up of your favourite music stars would sound like when paired up into collaborations? I have too, and that shallow musing finally got me here, on this post about 7 Nigerian collabos that I’m sure… or is it that I know? Okay wait, that I think… yes think, will totally rock. Actually I’m damn too proud of all the names I’ve assembled here and they’ve worked themselves up to this point where they can hone their musical prowess having surpassed those good ol’ days of success in boomlets. Enough talk! Now action.

1. Cynthia Morgan x Burna Boy

Asides my imagination already telling me that this track will be a fire bomb, you also get to find out that reckless cockiness can be made good for things such as this. Who knows better to give dance hall
music a multi-dimensional treatment than Kingston Property‘s Cynthia Morgan in a link-up with Sabi Boy, Oluwaburna? If there ever was a time for Morgan to wear her brazen self and without apology, it would be here and trust Burna Boy to always come through with his vocal swag… in Yoruba pidgin!

2. Burna Boy x Seyi Shay

Can you blame Burna Boy for his shades of awesome? This will be the second of his female features that I am certainly looking forward to. I know Seyi already gave us Murda, but then with this guy? Oh boy, creativity will be reborn as there will be healthy doses of lyrical ingenuity, vocal showoffs and… you know what? Just forgerrit, this will be some kain dripping swag madt stuff! There better be a video too ‘cos I’m definitely not the only one who wants to see how Seyi’s thirst troll will wear perfectly on dear Burna Boy’s hotness.

3. Seyi Shay x Don Jazzy

Ah! This is one collabo that excites me. Ms Shay is one very versatile songstress, proving herself time and time again that no ‘one box’ can hold her. Don Jazzy on the other hand, has shown with positive inputs and results that they don’t call him a don for trivial fun. These two are skilled to relish, and diversely so too but their vantage point would be that studio where they decide to lock horns and unleash some circus magic acts from their oga and madam Sabinus. Wow, I think I just might have found the title of their track!

4. Don Jazzy x Pasuma

Did you just laugh out loud? Well think again. Since trying his hands on hip-hop/pop influenced songs, Pasuma raised the stakes in his game and has excelled to particular delight. All the talented fuji-pop star needs now is to hook-up with producer extraordinaire, Don Jazzy and create an epic evergreen sound in the pop/high life genre that bridges musical frenzies in the South West and Eastern ethnicity… of course with the Doroboss lending his signature baritone tenor.

5. Flavour x Yemi Alade

Can you think of anybody else’s song that sends you into a dancing fiesta like Flavour’s and Yemi Alade’s? Hey, stop thinking! This synergy will help to sharpen creative ideas like danceathons, which all them rap competes have almost succeeded in stifling out. From energetic synchronizations to locomotive gyration and impeccable vocal skills, Flavour and Yemi are a perfect par and they sure need to remind us again how well we should celebrate the proudly African heritage.

6. Asa x Timi Dakolo

Okay, I think we’ve played around enough for a bit. Time to get some serious bi’ness done. Individually, these soul music legends are worth more in calibers than my riveting writer skill can do them any fitting justice. With these two, music always has a meaning and their synergy owes us a classic piece with a never-before-heard sensation, the kind that reorients our minds. If they choose to keep it on a low, then you know that they’re launching into the deepest of deeps and if it’s way up, they’re reaching for the bluest skies. Please go figure!

7. Reekado Banks x Wizkid

I forgive all of you that compared my dear Reeky Tom Tom to Daddy Bolu. Although their artistry may share quite some similarities but thank the stars that they sound nothing alike. Yes, they actually don’t. The other similarity they share would be that they’re small men who are crazy in love for really big things. And because they’re consistent with pro-balling at their turf, it’s become a wonder what their hit banger would sound like. No stressing, it’ll obviously be about a Salewa and her massive ‘baka’ but I’d love to hear it still.

And finally, I would be smoking skunk if I didn’t list these two…

8. Davido x Wizkid

This is pretty much the biggest and most anticipated collaboration of the Nigerian music industry. I dare say! Some of us even live for things as such to happen. I also think all the parties involved have come into knowledge of the blossoming effect of it’s happenstance, which further explains why they’ve let us remain in limbo land. Having said, Wizkid and Davido can either continue to form like they’re cool with beholding the presence of each other or they could just get in a studio booth and literally give themselves an acid bath with all the hydrochloride stored in the barrels of their hearts. Now, that’s something I wouldn’t mind living for!

Oya, as is our tradition, you guys should tell me those collabos you’ve dreamed of that you know will totally rock. Who’s going first?

Doro Sticker: Don Jazzy Blazes New Trail With The Launch of Digital Mavin Stickers

It’s Don Jazzy Again! This time though, it is not a new monster hit song, it is something much more different, fresh and digital.

Super music producer and label executive Michael Collins a.k.a Don Jazzy has again blazed the trail with the launch of Digital Stickers that reflect the communication interests of Nigerians and indeed Africans. Working with 3AM Media, a company that prides itself as a leading brand in the creation of Digital Stickers, the multi award winning producer is helping to start a trend that is likely to eventually get the attention of his peers who will see it as a chance to further connect with their fans. Doro Stickers are already exciting music fans all across social media going by the conversation they are already generating.

Stickers carrying words like, “Later” a way to indicate you’d again reach out to the person you are chatting with without having to type the words, others include “My Oga,” in reference to you greeting your chat mate, “”Sup Bro,” “Holla me,” “Sleep don catch me,” “Igweeeeee,” and of course “It’s Don Jazzy again” amongst other fun and indeed serious content. They all come with images that reflect the words or the message being passed.

Speaking on the launch of the Doro Stickers, Don Jazzy expressed his delight and said, “we are excited to connect with our fans and supporters and this is just another way we seek to do that. It is a fun way and at the same time we are helping to create content that Africans can relate with in terms of the messages on the stickers.”

Asked how he felt leading the industry to blaze yet another trail, the serial award winning producer and music executive stated that he was not as much about blazing a trail as he was about just staying in touch with the needs of his fans and his supporters, he said, “blazing a trail is one thing, creating content that matters to our fans and supporters is another and we are much more about what matters to our fans. Any other thing apart from that is a bonus.”

The stickers are currently available on BB10, Android and iOS while plans are on to have them available on Windows operating systems.

I Will Perform ‘Godwin’ in Church Again – Korede Bello

After he performed his smash hit single, ‘Godwin.’ at HICC (Harvesters International Christian Centre) in Lagos, On Sunday, April 5, 2015, Marvin new boy Korede Bello faced mixed reactions from some of his fans and followers of Nigerian music. While some saw nothing wrong with him performing the song in a church, others felt he crossed the line as a secular act who mounted the sacred pulpit.

While speaking to TheNET recently, Korede Bello said he doesn’t regret performing in church and if the opportunity presents itself again, he’ll gladly do it all over again.
Hear him:

‘If you are the pastor of a church and you invite me to perform the song, Yes i will perform the
song again. It’s God’s song and whatever is happening now is predetermined, people are talking about God that’s all that matters, From the inception of Godwin, I knew that it wasn’t my song, I knew that anything that’s for God has the potential of growing bigger than you imagine. It’s not quite a gospel song, it’s an inspirational song, what I mean by it’s for God is the fact that it’s dedicated to God. Head of the Supreme Mavin Dynasty (SMD), Don Jazzy, shared a photo on his Instagram account and it has got us thinking whether Omojuwa is dumping blogging for music.

Don Jazzy however, cleared our doubts via his caption, which does not indicate or suggest any form of musical collabo. He simply said they were sharing knowledge and rubbing minds.

Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi – “I Will Definitely Crop You Out Of A Picture If We Are No Longer Friends”

Well, this is a controversial issue and I really don’t agree with her on this one.

A little fuss was made yesterday, April 13, 2015, about Don Jazzy posting a picture of him and Enrique Iglesias which has D’banj cropped out of it.

The Beat FM OAP who nearly broke her leg last week, has now sent out a tweet about the issue of cropping.

According to Gbemi, she would go ahead to crop anyone who is no longer a friend out of a picture. “Call me petty but I will definitely crop you out of a picture if we are no longer friends” she tweeted.

We wonder what D’banj will think about this?

D’Prince Tells it all! Reasons For Not Attending Dbanj’s Anniversary Celebration.

The Mavin crew were not invited to Dbanj’s 10th anniversary. The Prince bears his mind about it.

“To be frank, I thought that chapter was closed about two years ago, I never knew that D’banj is still granting interviews regarding the split because I thought we had gone through the whole story, leaked e-mail, hearsays and the likes. I am so happy that D’banj and Mavin Records are doing great. I don’t want us to keep putting the fans in the mishmash. The fans would always be vulnerable. The fans would always want to be entertained and we would always be the puppets that entertain them. “I think D’banj was speaking based on his feelings and the fans reacted. I will always have love for Mo’Hits, DB records and Mavin Records because at the end of the day, it is the music that would keep us relevant. It is what brought us to where we are in the first place. We should all concentrate on our work and progress. We should love one another and not hate. There is no fight or war between us. What matters most is moving forward and making music. I feel that he was pressured to do the interview; he did so and expressed his feelings. I may agree and disagree with some of the things that he said but at the end of the day, I am still going to stick to love, peace and harmony,” he said.

D’BANJ DON JAZZY SPLIT, DON JAZZY TO UNVEIL NEW RECORD LABEL

The recent announcement that Nigeria’s most celebrated entertainer Don Jazzy, chief executive of Mo’Hit records and his partner D’Banj, the number one musician on the label, have parted ways, has left most Nigerians still reeling in shock.
Most people are yet to come to terms with the development as the broken down relationship many thought was made by the gods was untouchable.
Their decision to part ways was something our source said was agreed upon by the two former pals.
It was taken long before the deal by D’Banj, Don Jazzy and Kanye West’s GOOD music was sealed.
The lack of a business structure in Mo’Hit records made the company the butt of a joke especially in the international business community. Everything seemed to revolve around D’Banj alone.
It was becoming increasingly difficult for both to continue as partners because Don Jazzy who doubles as the label’s producer was having difficulties controlling D’Banj who was also a partner in the business.
Conflicts often arose in the house because of the seeming financial gap between D’Banj and other artistes on the label.
This grossly affected the business and also contributed to the duo relocating to the Island leaving the other artistes at their former abode in Maryland, Lagos.
The situation between the two deepened to a point where other artistes on the label were made to look ordinary.
Often, Don Jazzy faced an uphill task convincing other Mo’Hit records sign-on like Wande Coal, Dr. Sid and The Prince that he (Don Jazzy) was as committed to their career as he was to D’Banj’s.
Several newspapers in the past had talked about the situation but the record company through their managers had often denied having conflicts in the house.
The recording of a promotion song for President Goodluck Jonathan by D’Banj, was the icing on the cake as Nigerians descended on the Mo’Hit crew and accusing them of a sell out.
During the protest against government decision to remove subsidy on petrol, Nigerians took to the internet, calling for the head of D’Banj.
Don Jazzy desperate to protect his record company, quickly disassociated it from a sell-out. He went as far as tweeting on the wall of his Twitter that he regretted ever associating with the President.
To crown it all, D’Banj was no where to be found when the heat was turned on his partners.
Don Jazzy has since moved out of the mansion they once shared in Lekki Phase 1 and he’s currently squatting with Dr Sid at 1004, the same estate that Wande Coal lives on Victoria Island.
As at the time of filing in our story, Don Jazzy may have finalised arrangement to unveil his own record label which sources say will be structured in a way no one musician will hold sway.
