Comedian Seyilaw reveals challenges after birth of first child after five years of marriage.

Popular Nigerian comedian, Oluwaseyitan Aletile, aka Seyilaw, is a happy man and the reason is not far-fetched.

He recently welcomed his first child, a daughter, with his wife, Ebere, after five years of marriage.

Tiwaloluwa was born in October 2016.

The couple tied the knot in 2011 and, sadly, in February 2015, after some miscarriages, they lost their first child at birth.

The dark-skinned comedian has flooded Instagram timelines with pictures and videos of his newborn.

Quite outspoken about his journey to becoming a parent, Seyilaw has opened up about the circumstances surrounding the birth of his first child on Instagram.

Not only did he disclose that the birth of his daughter set him back about N10 million, he also revealed that they almost lost her when his wife was eight months pregnant.

Sharing a picture of himself and his wife in matching outfits, he wrote:

“To my dearest wife,

I might be silly and puffed, but I will never forget. I will never forget your sorrow, tears and strength. The strongest of women are sometimes the weakest in the hands of men, especially the men they love.

The pains and emotions of love are more than enough to throw you off balance. I have decided that no matter how masculine I am, I will let you reign in the right places for the pains you bore for me. The scars that is visible and invisible.

Do you know people wonder why I flaunt our God’s gift Tiwaloluwa? Maybe, because they are ignorant of our testimonies. I would have loved to share them all, but the space here will be too small. How do I tell people we almost lost her at eight (8) months? The issue that got you stuck to the hospital bed for almost a month with a monitoring machine strapped to your protruding belly.

Can I ever forget the number of injections you took without me being able to hold your hands to help you ease the pains and the doctors scary words? Will people ever know the journey that took you to the theatre with Fifteen (15) doctors on you alone, denying your family room to witness the birth of God’s miracle?

Don’t let me even mention the hospital bills, because all these Oyinbo no dey gree send their own once. Thank God for his miracle and Mrs. Abosede Holloway (Mummy Yetunde), Olori B of Baltimore. Story for another day. Any child wey dem take over N10million born, no be ordinary pikin na ISSUE in capital letters.

Our testimonies are numerous, but our God is one, yes ONE big GOD. If I don’t celebrate you who will? Thank you for everytime, I have forgotten to say it. Thank you for all the times, I will never be there to say it.

You are more than a JEWEL OF INESTIMABLE VALUE rather you are the SPECIAL EFFECT that makes the JEWEL OF INESTIMABLE VALUE. I love You NOW and ALWAYS.

“If you can’t sleep with a man, don’t go to his house”, says Comedian, Baba De Baba.

Nigerian comedian, Chidi Uzoma a.k.a Baba De Baba, has angered Nigerians online after suggesting that forcefully having sex with a girl who visits a man is not rape.

Trouble started when the comedian made a skit about “forcefully sleeping” with a woman who refused his several advances after he had spent money on her.

Although the skit was posted on Tuesday last week, not until Monday did it begin to gain traction.

In the now controversial comic skit, a lady went with a policeman to arrest a man for raping her.

According to the comedian, the forceful sexual intercourse is justified because the lady came to sleep over at his house for one week.

This is because he kept spending money on her, taking her to the club and others, yet she kept on rejecting his advances even though she slept in his bed.

During the last night of her visit, he forcefully had his way with her.

When asked if his action in the skit was rape, the comedian insisted that it could be justified as fornication.

He ended the video by saying to the camera, “If I want a girl that will sleep in my house and I will spend money on her, I will invite my sister. If you can’t sleep with a man, don’t go to his house.”

Some of the comments-:

@iamtopesalau asked, “are you endorsing rape’’?

He responded saying, “If you can visit a guy and stay over, you should be able to sleep with him because he is not your brother. If you are too responsible to have sex then stay in your father’s house.”

When PREMIUM TIMES put a call across to the fast-talking comedian, he had this to say.

“I want people to look at the moral value in the skit. They reason that a lady who decides to sleep in a man’s house for five days who isn’t her relative amounts to sexual fraud.

“Growing up, our parents instilled morals and discouraged our sisters from sleeping over at a man’s home. All these feminists are wayward people who are promoting sexual fraud.

The police are making money from it.”

When asked if he would take down the video following public outcry, he said, “People can go on insulting me and I wont take down the video. No one promoted the video since I posted it on Tuesday not until one women’s right activist stumbled on it. It is the feminist that promoted the video and and not me.

“The right thing I expect any responsible group to do is to contact me privately. I am totally against rape and no one has ever accused me of rape. Even my ex-girlfriends have called to commend the skit. These feminists are seeing it from another angle and only trying to promote sexual fraud.”

Following the clap backs, the comedian has set his Instagram account to private.

Justifying it he said, “People were only liking my stories but not following my page. So, if they really want to see my videos they must request for me to grant them permission to view my page.”

Popular Nigerian clergy blasts pastors who invite comedians to church events

Popular Nigerian dramatist and founder of Mount Zion Drama Ministry, Mike Bamiloye, has spoken out against Nigerian clergies who invite comedians to perform at their church events.

Mr. Bamiloye, who is also the president, Mount Zion Faith Ministries, tackled the controversial topic in a lengthy post on his official YouTube page on Monday.

In addressing the issue, he made reference to a particular YouTube video titled, Still Ringing Brings Down House On The Rock, Pastor Paul Adefarasin Laughed So Hard.

He titled the article, As per COMEDY in Church Meetings and Events!!  The post, which has since gone viral, generated a lot of comments with majority of the respondents concurring with the popular clergy.

It partly read, “I want to address Christians – ALL denominations – this morning without prejudice!

“For a long while I have questioned the inclusion of COMEDY in Church events. What do I question? The fact that the comedians brought in are allowed to make jokes of scriptures, the Blood of Jesus, speaking in tongues, the throne of grace etc.’ AND WE SIT THERE LAUGHING!

“What are we laughing at? What is funny? Mocking God and Christ and the Holy Spirit and the Word is funny????

“We hear of other religions where they are obsessed with protecting the image of their Leader and we gleefully allow people to MOCK our Leader JESUS CHRIST and the Holy Spirit and thereby indirectly MOCKING GOD!!! They look at us with disdain because we are BAD AMBASSADORS of our faith!”

Still writing, he added that cynicism has crept slowly into the lives of Christians. He also noted the fact that most Christians publicly abuse leaders of the gospel with glee and mock certain commandments of God.

“I was thinking of all this since Friday when a comedian was allowed in the stage at the EXPERIENCE to use a scripture in the Old Testament as foundation for his jokes! I LAUGHED also but later felt badly convicted and I said I will speak out – then this morning I received the message below in my Watsapp and I said – somebody feels the same way I do. So there it is: what is the stance you will take??? Join the revelers or stand against MOCKERY in the name of COMEDY in Church activities and events???I have said my own!.”

One of Nigeria’s foremost Christian dramatists, Mr. Bamiloye founded Mount Zion Ministries in 1985.

His debut drama, titled Hell in Conference was staged at the National Christian Teachers Conference in 1986 at Ilesa in Osun State.

He has featured, produced and directed several Nigerian Christian films over the years. Some of his notable films include Fiwajomi”, “Dying With the King”, “Shadows of Death”, “Journey in Circle”, “Mobile Prison”, “Harmony Deal” and “The Accountant.”

Comedian Takes Office As Guatemala’s New President

Jimmy Morales, a former TV comic elected Guatemala’s new president on a wave of public revulsion against widespread graft, was to take office Thursday in a ceremony attended by leaders from the Americas.

Police were deployed throughout the capital to ensure security for the event.

Invitees included US Vice President Joe Biden, Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa and Central American leaders. Spain’s former king Juan Carlos also arrived at a military airbase to take part.

Morales, 46, was previously best known for a television role as a country bumpkin who nearly becomes president.

Elections on October 25 elevated him to the office of head of state for real, by a landslide, despite having no political experience beyond an unsuccessful run for municipal office in 2011.

His victory was attributed to widespread public disgust with corruption, especially after his predecessor, Otto Perez, was felled by a major graft scandal.

Bill Cosby’s Mug Shot Revealed As Comedian Is Released on $1 Million Bail

Hours after being charged by authorities in Pennsylvania’s Montgomery County with aggravated indecent assault, Bill Cosby arrived in court Wednesday afternoon for his arraignment. The 78-year-old comedian, who stepped out in what many would agree to be a very Cosby sweater, arrived with a cane as he entered the Elkins Park courtroom. ABC News reports that his bail was set at $1 million. Cosby, who turned over his passport to the court, did not enter a plea.

Following the court hearing, Cosby reported to the Cheltenham Police Department, where he was processed and fingerprinted. The Montgomery County Sheriff has since released Cosby’s official mug shot:

People reports that Cosby, who was arrested early Wednesday morning for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand in January 2004, was released on bail after posting 10 percent in cash.

Cosby’s next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 14, 2016.
